Speedy Plumbing & Drain

Very disappointed in Speedy plumbing, and won't use them again. They had installed a new water heater for me in July 2021, but I found out that it was not 'to code', and also not done correctly with setting the expansion tank. When refinancing my home, I was told I needed to get these items fixed, for my loan. I called Francisco with Speedy, and he said he would get it 'to code' for another $450 (and that he was giving me a break from $700). I had already paid $1500 for install. I believe this was not ethical. I called around to other plumbers and found that a correctly installed new water heater would have cost $1600 at most, and that they should always be installed correctly, and per the new Utah code from 2019, with 2 straps. When I let Francisco know that other plumbers would never have installed not 'to code', he said he'd come out to fix it at no charge. But that is what he should have said to me initially when I needed it taken care of correctly. I do not want to do business with someone who wouldn't take care of me as a returning customer, and also just do the job correctly. I got these items fixed with a new plumber.

Speedy was great and they were familiar with my downtown location. They arranged water shut-off with the building management and took care of all the details. The work was done quickly and I will use them again. Thanks again for a job well done.
