READ YOUR WRITTEN QUOTE CLOSELY!!! I guess I'll give them a star because they actually removed my tree. Let me be clear, the reason I chose them is because, when they were here to look at the tree and give us a quote, their verbal quote included grinding the stump. We had other quotes that were far less, and they didn't include the stump, so their quote made sense. When we got the written quote, I made sure the final amount is what we agreed on, accepted it and sent a deposit. We had to wait weeks for them to get here (others would have been here the same week we got the quotes). When the day finally came, we asked about the stump and we were told it would be a different team that came and did it. Ok, sure. Only later, after they finished the tree, did someone tell us that we didn't sign up to have the stump done. I looked at the written quote and it says take down tree TO stump. TO. Those two little letters made all the difference in the world and now we have a huge stump left over. I could have paid $500 less with a different company that would have come out sooner to have it taken down TO the stump. I feel like this was a total bait and switch. PLUS, they damaged our deck! We noticed it before they even left and asked them about it, of course they wanted to take NO blame for it, but someone did come out later and offer us $50 off. Golly, thanks. In the end, the final bill was $200 less than the quote - not sure if this was because we expressed we weren't happy with the $50 off or what, but it still isn't as cheap as the other guy would have been - and we wouldn't have damage we need to fix.

It went great. Work was done on time.

It turned out well and stumps were ground completely. One sprinkler was broken and that is noted in the estimate you sign that they are not responsible for broken sprinklers. Good to know if you don't read carefully.

Pretty good except for the forgot to tell us that they could not spray the rest of the trees due to the weather being too cold. I had to follow-up with them twice to find that out. They are really good, a little pricey but very knowledgeable.

The guy came out to bid the job. He arrived on time, looked over the job, and gave me a written estimate. He scheduled me for two weeks out. The crew arrived on time and did an excellent job. The trees were trimmed, shaped, and all the mess was cleaned up. They were terrific. Very professional start to finish.

Showed up on time to give me a bid, seemed knowledgeable and friendly. After I accepted the bid I was contacted the next week to set up an appointment. Workers came exactly when they said the would and completed the job quickly. Job site was cleaned up so that not a single leaf was left on the ground. Trees look great and we are happy. What more could we ask for they were respectful of our time and cleaned up. Great job, thank you.

We realized eight months after they supposedly ground the stump that some of it was still in the ground. I thought we would never get him back to fix it after we had already paid him, but we made a call and he came shortly after the call to grind the stump. He gets an A+ for finishing the job correctly. I haven't worked with many places that respond as well as he did.

Was very impressed with Steve and will call in the fall.

They were great. Our experience with them was good. The only thing was I think they were not able to do the stumping and so we ended up having another service provider come out the second time and take out a couple of trees and they were able to do the whole thing in a couple of hours. Their price was fair. It was actually kind of lower, but they could not do the stumping so it was to be expected. I was thinking it was agreeable and we took advantage of it.

The owner responded promptly to my request for an estimate for tree trimming. The owner also provided helpful advice about another tree but that work was not part of the ultimate job. The work needed to be completed within a very short time frame and the owner stated that the work could be scheduled within that time. After considering the cost estimate, I called and left a message that the estimate was acceptable and left my name and number to discuss when the work could be done. That was the only hitch I had. When I didn't hear back within a couple of days I called again. This time I spoke with the owner rather than having to leave another voice message. I was reassured that the job was on the schedule and that most likely the work would take place within the next day or so. A work crew of three men arrived as promised, although knowing the exact date would have been helpful to assure I didn't miss them. As it was, I was home to meet them and the work proceeded without delay. The crew knew which trees needed to be trimmed and what type of trimming was needed. The work was done quickly, care was taken for the yard ornaments such as path lights and bird baths, clean up was thorough and the whole project was done very efficiently. The price estimate was the price paid. Very nice to have work done as expected without any surprises.

I called Affordable Tree Service to get an estimate to cut down a dead Birch tree in my front yard. Scott came out the next day and left an estimate in our mailbox. I called him a day later with a few questions which were answered to my satisfaction so I said I wanted him to do the work. I prefered a Tueday or Thursday and he said he would get back to me. When I didn't hear anything a week later I re-called him and they came out the next day. The men who came out to do the work had to climb the tree and did an excellent job. They did exactly what I wanted. They also did an excellent clean up job.

The stump was supposed to be ground down. They charged me full price even though they stated that they could honor the Deal pricing on Angie’s List of 110.00. They stated that they charged me full price because it was an emergency service call. I never asked them to come out right away. I had them removed the tree since I was having a fence installed and a fence post needed to be right where the stump was located. He was going to charge me additional to come out again. I have used them in past and had a great experience, but this particular time I was very disappointed.

These guys were great. I called to get a quote and they came the same day. I got three quotes, they were the best one. I had to call them back to check as I had not received the quote and I knew that they had come out. Apparently, one of the other companies that came took it out of my mailbox and just left their quote instead. So Affordable came by and left a second quote for me. I had a time frame to get this done before our roof was started - the tree had destroyed the gutter on our garage- so they made time for me in their schedule to get it done when I needed it. The service was great - they came when they said they would, removed the tree, completely cleaned up, and mailed me a bill. I misplaced the bill and forgot about it for a few weeks, which I apologize for. I have other tree care I need and I will call them when the weather gets better.

Scott the foreman was rude to my wife. Did a very poor job trimming our tree, Did not clean up all the branches they Cut and left a lot of debris in the tree And on the ground. Tom was also Very rude a poor arborist ... Lacks Knowledge of tree care and trimming A poor job....... Watch out for this company.

Took care of tree removal and hauled it away as expected. We were not home when the work was done and received the invoice in the mail a few days later. This was a great convenience since we both work.

It went pretty well. The guy who worked with us really knew his trees and what he was doing. He was very well educated on what he was doing. Their price is comparative to other places.

He agreed one of his crews had not the done the job properly and gave me back my check and said and quot;this should cover the cost of replacing the siding on the garage doorand quot;. I am to call him in the winter to trim the sides of the tree properly without charge. I was impressed that he was professional and wanted to make things right. He gets an and quot;Aand quot; in my book!

Excellent job in every way. They actually did more work than the original estimate but did not change the original estimated cost. They were very professional with the work and in dealing with us. We plan on using them again next year.

Called to have a tree removed and after explaining that I had removed some of it but needed the high stuff taken down, I was told that he was not interested. I guess they can pick and choose who they do business with. Very disappointed.

He got me a bid right away and performed the work after I gave him the go-ahead. He said he would just bill me and even though I was on vacation, he just took care of the work. He told me that if the Round-up did not prevent saplings from springing up that he would return and treat the trunk again. This was hassle-free and expedient service. I had called for other bids with other companies but they did not get back to me.
