We were given an estimate and told he could get to the job that weekend because it was a small job. 2.5 weeks later the carpet company (he didn't respond to our calls) contacted him to complete the job so they could install the carpet. He then charged us twice the estimate. Turns out he thought our insurance was covering so he was taking advantage of our disaster. Homeowners does not cover a flash flood so the entire repairs ($22,000) is out of our pockets. He is the ONLY Moab business person that was not true to his word and took advantage of our trauma. Not a very ethical business practice.
Description of Work: We sustained significant damage from a flash flood in our condo. We contacted this shop to repair some of the cabinet damage. He reinstalled a cabinet removed due to flood damage on the wall and installed some matching baseboards.
