We hired UFC to remove the carpet on our main floor and stairs, and replace it with laminate wood. We were given a price estimate that we agreed to, and a time estimate of 3-4 days. We decided to go out of town between Christmas and New Years to give the installers unfettered access to the space, with the understanding that when we returned home the floors would be completely installed and clean. My in-laws, who live in our basement, remained home to let in the worker(s). However, the 3-4 day project ended up taking over 8 days because on several days the installer(s) never showed up or gave any notice he would not be working on a particular day. When I contacted Paul regarding my frustrations, his responses led me to believe that a 4-day delay in completion was no big deal and the absence of the installer simply accounted for the extended period. I asked for some kind of recompense for the poor professionalism and disruption to our daily lives. We were given a small refund, which turned out to be around 2% of the total amount we paid up front. Totally not worth having to deal with an installer making sawdust and noise until 9pm one night we were home, and not showing up to finally finish the job until after 6:30pm the last night. Had I to do it again, I would have retained 25% to be paid upon completion and put a penalty for delays in the contract. Do not hire this company if you think you're going to get good customer service, professionalism or an installation done by an agreed upon date. Go somewhere else!

Cindy was AWESOME she scheduled my appointment. I have to say it was a TOTAL NIGHTMARE after they installed the carpet in my 11x13 room. The off center slice in my carpet was the last thing I was concerned about. My mothers health is failing and I had her nurse and doctor here. After telling the owner 3 times....this was not a good time to discuss the problem and it would be better if we could do this the following day. I just hung up. Even now, I could careless about the way the carpet was installed. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE is what will keep me from calling to do the rest of my house

They made an appointment and never showed, had to call them and was texted and told they were in a meeting! Hmm, they finally showed up 3 hours later,

There was a $175 minimum and that was never conveyed until the job was already done. Other than that they were very friendly and they were a little late but he told me that when he called to confirm.

They were good to work with. This carpet was on our porches and they brought samples for us to look at. It had to be special ordered but they arrived on time ready to go. Richard Sumsion

They did an awesome job. Very fast and friendly. I sent the request in on Saturday they called first thing Monday morning to schedule and was able to do the job the next day. I am very impressed with Utah Floor Covering and will definitely use them again
