I was extremely happy with the two men who came out to do the floors. They did a remarkable job and worked very hard. The project manager was not as impressive. I was called the morning of the first scheduled day, after removing all the furniture from the house and told that they were not coming. I was a single person doing this work and had stayed up through the night to make sure that the workmen were not delayed. To get a call literally 1 hour before start time was very upsetting. I think they really dropped the ball. But as I said the men who did the work (Anselmo) did a wonderful job. I was very surprised to see just how much time and effort was necessary to do the work. The result was exceptional.

Luckily for me I had a simple, small job - a condo kitchen floor with snap together laminate flooring. Seriously, my job was one any decent installer could do and I still had issues. My installer was very good and I'd recommend him, but the customer service and issues with the company were not and I would not recommend them. I remodeled my entire kitchen and used various subcontractors. Loved EVERY other subcontractor we hired. I actually was not going to use this company due to the number of negative reviews on HomeAdvisor so this site is great and got it right. You can trust the reviews I think. Why I hired them was because I went to Floor & Decor in Riverdale UT in April 2018 and they contract with these guys. I didn't know it was the same company I'd seen here when I set up installation through Floor & Decor. The salesman at this company said they had an exclusive contract with Floor & Decor - KNOW of course you can use anyone you want. I ended up using them but should have passed. Floor & Decor has you pick three dates and times that will work for you. None of those dates worked with this company. We then set a date that did work, which they rescheduled. Mine came before cabinets were installed. He tried to tell me the floor needed to be installed before the cabinets, meaning more floor, but we bought laminate wood and I was told the opposite is true, including the salesman at Floor & Decor who said he'd been in the construction business for years. I live in a beautiful condo and while it's remodeled, it has settled a bit over time and there was a crack in the kitchen floor concrete. Salesman told me it needed to be fixed before the floor was installed and he charged me for it in the bid. Fine. Guy that came to lay the floor told me that was not accurate as it was laminate and you don't need a perfect subfloor and my husband had filled in the crack anyway. He did not repair it. I TRIED the day before to contact our salesman to clarify how much trim I needed to buy and then also regarding this issue later but he was NEVER available once and to this date two months later has never followed up. I asked for anyone else and said I had a simple question but they said I had to talk to my salesman. The receptionist at one point told me he was there and was going to call me in a few minutes. Never did. While I really liked the installer, and the floor is fine without repairing that crack, it's obvious they hire the installer and pay him a small portion of the amount received and he does all the work and knows the job but they make the majority of the profit. The never do anything other than give you a bid. When I didn't get the work done to fix the crack I called to indicate they should take that off the bill and had to finally get the person in billing to do it. The office staff and installer handle everything after you are sold on using this company and you'll likely never get to talk to anyone else again. While the

A disaster from the start. They sent a young boy to lay our bathroom tile. Lied by saying he had many many years of experience. He was to young to have any years of experience. He put a dob of mud in the center of each tile! He was to smear the mud evenly along the edge. They did not send anyone else to fix it so I fired them and hired another contractor . Also they never answer your calls. Can't ever reach anyone even with multiple calls per day I Would never hire them they deserve negative 500 stars

The installers did a wonderful job. They were both independent contractors. The coordination between sales, project management, billing, and the contractors was non-existent. We had problems of not receiving materials in time for installation, misinformation about schedules, inability to find anyone that knew or would honestly tell us what was happening, and billing that charged our credit card with our final payment prior to completion of the projects. We tried to have two projects, a small tile job and wood flooring, done at the same time and that was more than they could handle. We had to call several times to get the carpet tacked down where the tile was installed. We were told several stories about why it took so long, but finally were told the truth that they never scheduled the carpet contractor.

After hiring them for the job, it became nearly impossible to contact anyone in the company especially our project manager. No one communicated with us when the installer did not show up. I could not get any response from anyone in the company when we needed an adjusted invoice (since we didn't need our pad replaced after all, just the carpet). I finally had to call the owner of the company to figure out where our installer was and to reschedule. Such a nightmare for such a small project.

I hired his company so I would have to micro manage the project. I wanted them to come in do their thing so I could pay and move on. My first guys were late. 3 hours past their “window”. I had to call the project manager to find out what was going on. The sand and finish went well but there were spots on the floor I later found out could come out it just couldn’t be done with the large floor sander. I’ve waited almost 2 weeks for my final coat to complete my project and they delayed it. Hey I paid 2700 for my wood floor and found out They only paid their the guys 1250. They charged me 1062 for my tile floor (which also has issues: cracks everywhere) and they only paid him 460 and he had to buy the leveler (which wasn’t used and I’ve asked them to credit me $85 for that. I found out that they make the tile guy buy that material and only credit him 35 when I paid 85 for material and bought all tile and grout. Pretty shady company and I’m not surprised to have this many issues with laborers when they pay pocket 50-60%. Totally regret hiring this company. Ps- I’m a realtor and do a lot of this on my own but wanted to off load a little bit of work as I had multiple projects going at once and was looking for a reputable company to have as my “go to” people for work.

Where to start. We were not happy with the quality of the padding but could have lived with that if the installation were acceptable. The seams were ugly and there were gaps between the wall and the edge of the carpet. The installer was several hours late and basically did a lousy job. When we complained, a Project Manager was sent out to look at the job and he agreed that it needed to be reinstalled. At that time we asked them to replace the padding (they did-almost, and we paid). The second installer did a great job. The only complaint was that they didn't send enough of the upgraded padding to do the entire job. At that time I didn't feel like the hastle of getting someone out a third time was not worth it. A word to the wise - our instructions to the salesman were we wanted to upgrade from what we had (I don't know the difference between pad weights). The final product we received was NOT an UPGRADE. We are very disappointed. The first two jobs they did for us were exceptional.

I called Monday (Memorial Day), Cameron came and gave a bid and advice on best carpet choice for a rental and Carlos came and put it in on Wed. At all levels, they kept me informed, provided great service and made sure that I got the final invoice and warranty information. Great service, great product, great price.

Just not a good experience. Work not done as anticipated (the first installer made changes to the agreed upon work scope without our approval.) He shortened the length of the shower, didn't tile part of the wall and left a wall that required hours of work to repair. They cut corners and just didn't do as we would have anticipated. Then the project manager said we were dishonest because they had done the best they could to be happy. I have hired many project managers over the years. I expect more. They billed my card for a second payment when I expressly told them no as the work was not completed. They sent a second installer to fix the work of the first installer. We still had to do some work ourselves after he finished.

I went with Utah Flooring & Design because they allow customers to choose sink, faucet, and other fixtures (soap dispenser). Only difficulty we experienced was a scheduling mix-up that resulted in our not having water in our kitchen for nine days. I do believe everyone did what they could to help us out with this once the cause was known. Went pretty well for a major (for me anyway) home improvement project. Only thing I don't like about the countertops is where they put pieces together for overhang isn't polished very well. A quality control rep is scheduled to come next week and I figure we can work that out.

Removal old floor = satisfactory. Linoleum good quality. Installation, communication, billing practice & management poorest I've seen in 50 yrs. Install team left fridge in dining room, holes in floor, sharp points and edges on trim between carpet & floor, glue on floor, wood cabinets, appliances, sink and counter tops; thin incomplete dirty caulking; 2 in space of wood between floor & carpeted stairs; & ridges and bubbles in linoleum. Computer charged my card before work was completed. Management no longer responds to calls, texts, or email. 1st repair resulted in additional damage and pulled dining carpet away from the wall. Project manager offered me $100 reparation on a $1768.50 job, but no money received. Required to be at home 8 days for work and evaluation of damages for a 2 day job. One repair appointment not kept. Project began 30 days ago & new bubbles & ridges appear in the floor daily.

If you are flexible with having the company reschedule or not stick to the time agreed to 100%, their product and quality of work is great. A few too many breaks taken and a job that should’ve taken about 6-7 hours took two 10 hour days.

After a couple of scheduling problems that delayed the project by about a week, I went into the store to talk to them directly. After that the schedule was set and they stuck to it. Product is gorgeous, and the installer was very fast and proficient. If you're having laminate installed, request Gabe!
