This company was recommended to us by HomeAdvisor, and we were pleased by how quickly they contacted us. But I wish we would have kept looking. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! I will briefly sum up the nightmare that was having our floors done. A 1-week job took 2 and a half weeks. And they charged us for the finished job long before it was done. We spent 2 Saturdays (in December, when we had plenty of other things that needed doing) waiting at home for flooring workers that never showed up, never called or texted. I spent those same 2 Saturdays calling and texting every single number we had for anyone affiliated with the company. The one person I DID manage to contact (the Business Manager) scoffed when I told him I wanted to talk to the Project Manager because they don't work on Saturdays. Why schedule workers on Saturday if the Project Manager won't be available? They had the tile guy's assistant lay our bathroom tile, and he apparently didn't know what he was doing. So we had them tear it up. Communication between groups in the company is TERRIBLE. The demolition guys tore up more than the tile guys expected, so they had to go buy more supplies. Tile guys were never told that we had been promised they'd be over on Saturday. They kept promising us dates and times and not delivering or even letting us know that they could not. After the 2nd weekend with no workers and no communication, we were furious. But even Monday we could not get a hold of anyone! Finally my husband went to their physical location. And then the Project Manager lied to his face, saying he had been texting me far more often and recently than he had. He also threw the blame back on us (*Maybe you have not been calling the right number?*) Our nightmare is finally over and we are putting our house back together. Their workers left a huge mess behind. We have got dinged walls, dirty hand prints, tile pieces everywhere (why did they shove some in the cupboard under my sink?), and our bedroom carpet is completely ruined by tile grout smears and footprints.

Do Not trust this company you can only text when you have a Question or problem and they say they will call you back and they do not If you sign the agreement, look hard at what you are signing because if you say that you like the job that they have done they automatically take it out of your account that you do not want to pay with. They are not to be trusted.

I tried to contact the project manager, Kimball, on Friday December 5, 2019 when they were installing my floor. We had already had troubles with the invoice not being accurate and the company wanting more money from me, I was told I could not cancel the contract first, then I was told I could with a 33% fee, I gave him my response to that and finally the owner Jason got on the phone and said he would do it for a lower price than he originally said. I probably still should have said no but he said his installers were waiting to come to finish the job and that I would get a great job from them as they compare themselves to RC Willey and not just some random installer off of KSL.. I found this company and the other companies who quoted me from the same site, Home Advisor... This is probably the last time I will look there.. Anyways the installers arrived a little bit later and started. After they vacuumed the kitchen area I came in and was speaking with them. We talked about the baseboards and I showed him the damages. I asked him how they normally handle that and he said contact Kimball. I had already sent a message to him but I sent another text message to Kimball and he responded with he is busy and to contact his manager. I called that number and it goes straight to voicemail. I told the installer to have either of them call me when he spoke with them next. I also asked the installer what the cell number was for the owner who is named Jason, according the conversation I had with him, but he claimed to not know. I wanted to see if that was the number that I was given that just goes straight to voice mail. Throughout the day however Kimball had actually called the installer and had a few conversations, as the installer would step out of the house but then come back in and tell the other installer what was said by Kimball, I also overheard a conversation that he was having with him as well but Kimball never called me back. Anyways I have sent all of these images that I uploaded here for you guys that are reading my review to see to Kimball also yesterday and I have not heard back yet. I understand it is the weekend so I will be waiting until Monday to find out what they are planning to do. At this point I am very frustrated as I paid additional money to have my baseboards removed and replaced so this would not happen and It seems that before any part of the job was started that removing the baseboards would have been the first step... I asked the demo guys when they arrived the day before if they are removing the baseboards and they said the installer would. I said back to the demo guys that the baseboards need to go back on my walls in good shape after the flooring is installed. How is that going to happen if you do not remove them? They said it would be no problem and also said that they would remove them if needed.. I however ended up with several broken baseboards as they never removed them and I was not able to stay in the kitchen and watch what they were doing as the whole house had so much dust that you could not even breath. The demo guys wore masks and I see why. It seems that the job could easily have been done with much much less dust. The demo guys did place plastic over my cabinets in the kitchens but I still had a ton of dust on them when they left. I also had dust everywhere throughout the rest of the house. The demo guys also damaged my fridge and cabinets along with my walls. The baseboards after the installers removed them to put the flooring under them were also reinstalled crooked, broken and not nailed in so some of the tops have gaps... The quarter rounds look like they are cracked as they are not finished properly. There are gaps in doorways that should be corrected. They did not put flooring under my dishwasher but they were paid to do that along with moving it and it did not happen. Id like to show the pictures of the work somehow.

I wish I could upload pictures. Make sure you read the fine print. If I could cancel I would, but I guess their contract says I can?t, even though I personally bought all the materials and they are only providing labor. How does that make sense? The demolition crew came in on Monday. They were only here for an hour and a half. They did not put up any plastic, so I have dust everywhere from them tearing up the tile. The dust is so bad I have it on the upstairs floor. They did not pull out my appliances and demolish under them, even though we PAID EXTRA to have them moved. We sent an email about this but got no response. We were told the project would take 3 days, so on day 4 I tried to contact the project manager, Kimball. I was told he would get back to me. I called in around 4:30 when I still had not heard anything and was put on hold for 20 minutes, so I hung up and called back. They said they were trying to transfer me but every time they did I was put on hold again. After 4 attempts at this I called back and got voicemail because they had closed. The installer could not even get ahold of them, so he left earlier that same day to go to the office and try and get some help on the project. How can you not even support your own installers when things go wrong? I was finally able to contact the estimator later that night and was told he?d get back to me. This is his response through text: The installer should be back tomorrow. Sometimes guys get more frustrated than they should. We can adjust things to accommodate their troubles. The installer just needs to communicate to us. Hopefully things get back on track tomorrow I responded: SHOULD be back tomorrow? HOPEFULLY it is on track tomorrow? What kind of run around answers are those? Why would he need to communicate to you if I have been? Have you not been getting our emails? ?, as well as a list of everything up till now that was also included in the emails. He accused me of attacking him and told me that we were responsible for the appliances and that he is only the estimator and I needed to talk to a project manager. I asked why I paid extra for appliance removal if they weren?t planning on doing it and I asked for a phone number for the project manager cause I?d love to talk to him, but he never responded. Friday morning I saw the other half of my payment pending. The project isn?t even complete yet and I was charged the extra $400 for appliance removal. I was finally able to look up Kimball?s number, and after I left a couple voicemails I got a call from his boss, Jason, around noon. I explained to him what was happening and he said he would make things right. The call dropped, I tried contacting him back the rest of the day and I still have not heard back from him. It is day 6 now and I still do not have use of my washer, dryer, dishwasher, or oven. I have 4 kids and can not afford to go this long without these utilities. I am currently helping the installer at 6:00 at night, on a Saturday, so I can have these utilities back and we can both be home with our families and relax. The installer has been the only good thing about the company, with his hard work and determination to succeed even with a company like this behind him. This company is a complete joke. I thought I was hiring professionals. If I do not hear back from them by Monday, I am contacting the Division of Consumer Protection.

I wish I would have read the reviews on here before I decided to go with Utah flooring and deceit. I mean design. My wife contacted home adviser to get some tile installers to give us a quote for an investment property we have in Springville. One of the companies was Utah Flooring and Design. The sales guy came out by the name of Cameron. A clean cut nice guy. (So I thought) He gave us a bid for the work that I thought was fair. I agreed because they said they could get it done by the 14th since we had new tenants moving into the home on the 15th. Cameron told me that I would need to pull the old toilet and he would have the installer install the new toilet if i had the materials there when they came. Our family was headed to Disney to visit our son who is working there and we would be gone on the 12th through the 21st so we would not be able to inspect the work while we were gone. Oh I must tell you what happened with the bid. Cameron wrote up the bid but did not add the new toilet to be installed on the paperwork so I called Ann at the office and told her that I needed that to be added before I would sign. She said to contact Cameron the salesman. I text Cameron and told him that he forgot to put on the bid that the new toilet would be installed. He text me back and told me So we can install the new wax ring and bolt the toilet down but can not reinstall the water line. I replied that is fine. He said nothing about an extra charge. I figured I have his text stating they would install the new toilet and we were leaving so I took him at his word and signed the bid. The installer Gary text me that he would be doing the work. I told him I was out of town and would appreciate update photos text to me on the work as it progressed. He did a good job for the most part letting me know what was going on but he did not finish up until the 17th and sent me a text on the 18th. Luckily the renters got delayed and couldn't move in until the 22nd. I noticed from the text photo the toilet was not put in from his last picture. I asked him to do it. I did not hear from him so I text Cameron to make sure it was done. No answer from him as well. I called the office multiple times and text the office number I had received other text from. I finally left a message that if I did not hear from them I would put a hold on my credit card. It took another half a day to finally hear from Kimball the Project Manager. Kimball was very matter of fact that I did not have the installation of the toilet on my bid and I was trying to get freebee stuff and basically called me a liar. For the next day and a half I text Kimball the conversation texts I had with Cameron. Kimball told me that Cameron told him that He never said the toilet was part of the bid. Kimball said he would install the toilet but he would charge me $125. I said that I would not pay a cent more that it was part of the bid. When we finally got home from our trip I was going through my emails and found a conversation I had with Cameron that said that they would install the toilet and sent it to Kimball. The next day I received this text from Kimball If you'd be willing to post a few 5 star reviews I can have our onsite manager come out Monday around 12:30 to reinstall the toilet.; My response to him was. Thats funny!!! I told you my renters were moving in today!(Friday) I guess the thing that bothers me more than anything was your condescending attitude! All I wanted was the job that we agreed to do to be done. I have no problem with Gary. He did a good job and obviously wasn't told by Cameron to put the toilet on. The issue here is the lying by your salesman Cameron and the fact that even though I showed Kimball the texts and e-mails proving It was part of the original agreement, Kimball was not willing to apologize and make it right unless I was going to give the company 5 stars.

The installers did a great job, for the most part, actually installing the floor. There were enough irritating situations along the way that I wouldn't pick this company for any future projects. Problems during the project included: late arrivals and no shows by contractors and demo crew, poor work from demo crew, and missing installation supplies. In addition, the company attempted to charge my credit card for the balance due many times over several days before it was actually done, without asking me if work was complete. Had I not frozen the card to prevent that, I don't imagine the work would ever have gotten done. After project problems include: loose and missing trim pieces, oil spots on my driveway from contractors, and no cleanup--I was left with a giant pile of debris in front of my home that took about 3 weeks of 2 full trash cans to get rid of. Next time I need flooring installed, I will choose a company that costs more so the whole experience requires less supervision and effort from me.

The Estimator (Kevin) and Installer (Nathan) were outstanding. The Scheduling folks seem to be a little off. Scheduling a 6 hr project to begin mid-afternoon when I specifically told them I did not want installers here in the LATE evening is not what I would call good customer service. The quality of the flooring and installation - EXCELLENT. Customer Service - Less than stellar!
