Description of Work: Mr. James installed a water filtration system under my sink. He took the time to let me put in new filters in the canisters and helped problem solve when there was a leak. Installation went smoothly.

Helped out in a bind with a remodel when other plumbers were negligent. They caught a mistake that could have caused a lot of damage. Also came out very promptly when son flushed a tape measurement down the toilet:)

I bought an older house in Wellsville and have had Scott James Plumbing out on several occasions fixing various things. They always did an excellent job. They were always on time except for once and they called and let me know that they would be a little late. On two of the projects I got estimates from other plumbers also. Scott James Plumbing is very competitive and fairly priced and I picked them both times. I have a couple more projects (toilets and sinks to be replaced) and Scott James will be the first one I call. They did some very minor work (replaced an outside faucet) and some more complex work (that involved cutting out some water pipes and replacing them and valves). On two of the projects I had them come out and talk to me about them first so I could show them what I had to have done and could get an accurate estimate. No project is to small or large, they took them all on. They did not charge me an extra fee for having to come out to Wellsville like some companies do. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: Fixed leaking faucets in bathroom on a very old style sink, installed new faucets in an old shower (had to cut out some of the tile). Removed and replaced shut off valves.

I feel they were not honest with their verbal quote, I should not have to pay for on the job training. The installer stated he never installed a boiler before, I should have told him to leave. His plumbing was good but when your spending time reading the instructions it doesn't make the home owner feel very confident. I will never use any company again unless I get a quote in writing. He stated he charges 60 and hour and he is the lowest but when you add in hours for on the job training and the so called hours for getting parts, its a scam and shouldn't you as a plumber carry stock and the right tools for the job.
Description of Work: I called this company to install a boiler, over the phone he stated he knew how to install the boiler and labor would be between 400-600. I should have recieved this quote in writing. Installer came out on a friday and worked most the entire day. Installer stated he should be able to finish the job as we were without hot water and heat. Installer stated he couldn't finish the job that night because he needed a tool that he didn't have. The company charged me another trip charge because he didn't have the right tool. The company tried charging me 19 hours for the install. I told them I had another quote from another company for 15 hours. Although the installer was here for only a total of 12 hours they stated he spent the additional time researching information and getting parts. The installer did a good job, left a mess of old parts and general garbage when he left. I asked for the bill and he said they would bill us, I was worried when he said that.

Very knowledgeable, professional during whole process of estimate, installation. Referred me to another company who installed cultured marble surround. Very happy with both companies scope of work and final results. I would happily use James Scott Plumbing in the future for all my plumbing needs. Will gladly refer to all my friends and family who need plumbing services!
Description of Work: Installed a new tub along with all the plumbing for tub/shower including fixtures. Installation not very easy as was installed in a manufactured home with tight spaces etc.
