I could not be happier with the outstanding work Alves Services did on my landscaping. They transformed my outdoor space into a beautiful oasis that I can now proudly show off to friends and family. From the initial consultation to the final touches, their team displayed professionalism and expertise. They truly went above and beyond to bring my vision to life. The attention to detail, choice of plants, and the overall design exceeded my expectations. The result is a landscape that not only looks great but also enhances the value of my property. I highly recommend Alves Services to anyone in need of top-notch landscaping services. Thank you for the incredible work!

!!! DO NOT HIRE UTAH BASEMENTS !!! Do yourself a favorâ ¦hire any other full-service contractor, or hire individual sub-contractors for each piece of your project, or just shoot yourself in each knee cap and then smash yourself in the head repeatedly with a hammer. Anyone of those choices will be much less painful and more enjoyable than dealing with Utah Basements. Our project started on July 6, 2023. Their contract states the project will be completed in 8-12 weeks. Here we are 14 weeks later and our basement is STILL NOT FINISHED, and the work they have done is not even close to being considered acceptable. In fact, the quality of their work is absolute garbage! Let me break down just how completely unprofessional their work is, how incompetent their sub-contractors are, and how doing business with Utah Basements has been a complete nightmare for us. - Project Manager has changed 3 times. Each one of them have been difficult to reach or to get a response from. Each one has been deceiving or made excuses for every single inexcusable problem we have found. - Their initial work failed inspection 3 times. - There were weeks where no one showed up to do any workâ ¦that's excluding time off waiting for city inspectors. - The subcontractors they hire are completely incompetent and wholly unqualified to do this type of work. - After going all week with no-call, no-shows, their subcontractor would suddenly arrive unannounced on weekends, on holidays, or at 5pm at night and expect us to let them in to do work. - Their first unreliable subcontractor quit after 6 or 7 weeks on the project. Granted, they only showed up to do actual work for maybe 3 weeks total. This is the same sub that failed the inspection three times, improperly wired outlets, and did the most hack job ever attempting to sheetrock. A licensed (American) electrician had to be called in to fix all the problems with the original electrical work. He was appalled by what he found. - Overall, the quality of Utah Basementâ s work is best described as complete sh*t. I have done a more professional job myself remodeling rooms in our home. I have zero experience in construction and no background whatsoever in carpentry, sheetrocking, electrical, or flooring and my work is far superior to their so-called "professional" workmanship. After so much frustration with UT Basements and the quality of their work, we invited them upstairs to show the quality of work we expect for what we are paying them. That tour included work I had done and work the original builder did. Did it matter? Nope!! The quality of work continues to be absolutely terrible and this entire experience continues to be a complete nightmare. - The sheetrock work looks like a 5-year-old did it. Tape showing through, large gaps around outlets (1/4â -3/4â ), and bulges are clearly visible after mudding and "sanding" the walls. Even after the sanding, the walls had the texture of razor-sharp sandpaper nearly everywhere and bubbles where the mud wasnâ t properly smoothed. The joints in corners and along the ceiling were left with large chunks of gunk that should not be there. I could go into further detail about all that is wrong, but I think anyone reading this review is now fully aware of what your experience will be like and what level of quality you should expect from Utah Basements. It's abhorrent!!! Every time I go down to our basement and see what they have done I am filled with anger, disgust, and sadness due to being taken advantage of. To undo the mess they have created is going to cost us even more money and time! Our next steps are to contact the Better Business Bureau, Utah Division of Consumer Protection, the Stateâ s Attorney, and our own attorney. What they promise and what they deliver are worlds apart. We feel ripped off and we will now do everything ...

This is not a professional company. They will agree to anything you want without following through. When the evaluator came to our house and we described the scope of the project we needed (new floors and closet installed to make a basement room a bedroom) he assured us he could provide everything we needed. He could match the quality flooring we already had a couple boxes of. He could install the closet I described. He could start immediately. When the contract came in, 100% of the payment was required upfront. When I asked why it was needed at the start of the project instead of at the end, I was told it was because it was a job that would take a single day. When the day arrived, the crew did not show up until 4:30PM. They did not have matching flooring. They did not have any flooring at all. They assured me they would order the flooring Id requested and they would return in one week, when the product arrived, to complete the one day wonder job. But when the time arrived instead of installing the same quality brand, we were given a cheap Home Depot look alike that bounces in strange ways when we step on it. When I asked if the bouncing could be addressed, the response was, that just happens sometimes. The closet blueprints I had requested to see repeatedly (as allowed in section 5 of the contract) were not given. The closet I had requested was not provided. Instead an entirely different closet system was installed. Despite the contract saying in section 9 that the contractor would provide times when workers would be on sight, I had to ask every time I saw that the work was not finished what time workers would be back. Even then, workers were unpredictably 1-5 hours late to agreed work times. Workers would leave the work site without notice, leaving doors and gates wide open and unattended for hours on end (This is in the contract as being your responsibility and fault if you fail to notice). The work that Id paid for up front because it would take one day took two weeks. The work done was not what I had paid for. I was not at all valued or respected by this company. When I reviewed the contract to address these grievances I found that the contract I had read and thought I understood did not at all protect me or my rights as a home owner, to the extent that when the workers asked to borrow my $20 broom and got paint clogged in the bristles, I was the one held accountable for letting them use it. The contract works like this to the extent that any materials that go missing from the home are considered the owners responsibility for not better protecting them. There was no justice or compensation for having all of the wrong materials installed outside of the agreed upon times. When discussed with the company, their response was, we will do better next time. There certainly wont be a next time for me. This company was an absolute nightmare to work with.

I would not recommend this company. I like to think our project manager Johnny is a nice person but has zero skills in project management. He did not request permits prior to starting our basement project. Failed to communicate with the city in a timely manner to acquire permits. Sent workers to our house without notice. Never did a final walk through to check the quality and â customer satisfaction guaranteeâ He also refused to speak with me in the phone and would only text which I find almost comical, considering he is a â project managerâ . We also had to our our bathroom install on hold because he had no one who was familiar with waste injectors. So, they opened up a permit, which we paid about $1200 for and they never complete the work. Iâ ve called, texted and submitted a form on the website asking to finish up our bathroom and could not get anyone from the company to complete our bathroom. After that, we decided to go with a different company and wanted to get refunded for the permit that we opened for them to work on and they werenâ t able to refund us. I then asked Amanda their â permit personâ to send us the information to contact the city about the permit, and she never responded. Amanda, also set up several inspections without telling us the time and date till the day of and she frequently would schedule inspections without asking if we were available. Messiah, who seems to be the finisher, packed up his bags and equipment with many things unfinished towards the end of the project. I then had to send send many pictures to Johnny, letting him know that Messiah needed to come back and finish. The workers, especially Messiah, were very messy. I left multiple signs, asking him to please wear covering on his feet but failed to do so. He tracked dirt and drywall residue all over our house multiple days in a row. I even provided him with booties, and he did not wear them. We had drywall dust throughout our entire house that got sucked up through our air conditioning and blew out into all of our rooms throughout the entire house. As experts, I would expect them to make sure things are in place, so this does not happen. like covering the air vents, for example. On the financial this company is also not a good company to work with because unless you have $50,000 in cash to work on your project they will be a 10% transaction fee for using your credit card. It is again, comical that a company working with people who have to spend thousands of dollars on their basement would expect you to pay cash. When I went to pay for our basement, there wasnâ t even a credit option available to make a payment. We then had to make a special arrangement for us to pay with credit. last thing Iâ ll add is that on multiple occasions Iâ ve put specific notes on the design mockups and blueprints for the designers and for Johnny to read and then once work started it was as if he never read the notes that I left and work would be done incorrectly.
