I recommend this company, have reservations about doing so. He seemed quite competent and had years of experience in a number of areas. However, an interesting thing occurred regarding his inspection of gas line emissions. He claimed there was a gas leak in the home but couldn't pin point it. And supposed his nephew could smell it and was very sensitive to gas. His detector would sound an alarm indicating it was picking up gas emissions. The gas company was contacted and responded shortly after the inspector left. That company professional did a thorough inspection and found no gas leakage at all, and provided a signed report. His assessment- his detectors cost $5,000 but home inspectors typically use very cheap units in the range of $500 or so. The professional stated, quote "those cheap detection units can be set off by bad breath or a fart", and are often not calibrated properly. Given this I seriously doubt if the inspector's nephew is so sensitive to gas. Probably psychosomatic, and just power of suggestion. Now, it of course is much better to claim a gas leak and have none, than to not find a leak when there is one. Other than this the inspector seemed quite competent and professional, but the home was in very good condition and a relatively easy job.

Prompt, courteous, thorough and very knowledgeable.

Steve and Stephen were a few minutes early. They explained what they were going to do, how they were going to do it and how long it would take. They did exactly what they said. The inspection was thorough as it could be without disassembling the house. They inspected all aspects of the house from the roof to the foundation and tested all of the applicable systems. We had a few concerns since this is a modular home and Steve handled them all. We came to find out he's lived in a modular home for 30+ years so he was very aware of the quirks associated with such construction. Steve called and left a voice message that the report was ready and he would welcome any questions we might have. The report was in our email inbox before we got back to Las Vegas from the Cedar City area. I emailed Steve with a few questions and he promptly replied. We were very happy with the work and the price and would recommend them to anyone needing a home inspection.

They arrived on time ready to go. They inspected the critical things in the condo that I am purchasing. They noted simple fixes that can be made and did not find any major problems with the property. I was very pleased with their service!
