Great! Quin was careful with his bid for cost and time needed. Most of his subs were wonderful. He did a beautiful job. He kept us informed on the remodeling progress with phone calls, emails, texts and photos. Quin is an honest, hard-working contractor.

we live in salt lake (280 miles from the job site) and he was excellent at keeping the project going and updating us via texts or emails or phone calls. he and his subs did excellent work and offered lots of ideas on how to do things. Quin is very personable and easy to work with. i highly recommend him. He was fair and straightforward with the money aspect of the job as well.

We engaged this company based mainly on a favorable Angie's list review that said they did a great job for absentee landowners. Unfortunately our experience proved to be less satisfactory than we had hoped. The completion was promised as '2-3 weeks, a month tops' and ended up taking more than 3 months. The flooring work was excellent although the leftover grout was dumped in our yard and never cleaned up despite promises from the contractor (still on our to do list). The electrical work was excellent, sadly the painting was disastrous- one room painted wrong color, light fixtures and switches and wooden floor and patio got paint hits, one bathtub was damaged, furniture that we had carefully stacked for covering, per close coordination with contractor, was summarily dumped in the garage, incurring some damage. Painters also left massive amounts of trash in the yard and some switch plates were broken or missing. Owner of painter admitted after the fact he had not been on site supervising and none of his crew spoke English, so overall contractor was not successful in communicating with them, apparently. There were in fairness initial delays in ordering floor tile. These didn't account for as much delay as we ended up with, however. On the whole we felt like we were an 'out of sight, out of mind' customer whose work got bumped back when other jobs came along. The contractor did make some price adjustment to reflect delays and disappointments, and did come quickly to clean up most of the painters' mess and have the room color fixed- but on the whole we'd have to think twice about using this company again, since months later we are still cleaning up the mess (and repairing things where their repairs have already proved to be unsatisfactory).

They were on time. They were clean. They did what they said they were gonna do and stayed within the budget.

Over all it went very well. It took a little longer than expected however I made some changes after work commenced. However I prefer a quality contractor who is a professional and will do quality work rather than someone who will work faster and take short cuts. I am very satisfied with the results and highly recommend Denning Construction.

The process went very well though it did take longer than estimated. However that was due to a subcontractor for the cabinets that does excellent work however he is a little disorganized and was way overbooked based on how fast he can produce product. Over all I am extremely satisfied with the job. I would rather it take a little longer and turn out the way I want versus it being done quickly or unprofessionally. Quin is a very professional, easy to work with gentleman and I plan on using his services in the future.

He did an excellent job on the wood beams. The doors and locks were fixed as well as they could be given some structural issues.

Quin Denning, of Denning Construction was hired to do a remodel on a rental property that we had purchased in St. George. The property is an old (1940's), adobe/concrete/stucco structure that was rather run down. We needed somebody that could act as a general, but also be capable of doing the bulk of the work themselves. Mr. Denning fit the bill perfectly. Mr. Denning did a majority of the interior work himself (interior framing, door installation, mold remediation and drywall), while employing quality sub-contractors to do things like roofing, HVAC, and electrical and plumbing. Since we do not live in St. George, most of the work was done in our absence. I was certainly a little uneasy about this but had no other choice. Mr. Denning, however, made the whole process fairly easy. He called on a daily basis to update me on his progress and made sure I was kept aware of any issues that arose. At one point he even called to tell me that there was not as much mold in the house as he had originally anticipated. So, he told me he would knock $1000 of our bill! Seriously, who's ever heard of a contractor doing this? Bottom line, Quin Denning is honest, professional, knowledgeable, and dependable. He does quality work in a timely manner and uses professional sub-contractors. He makes sure the job is done right the first time, and if for some reason something goes wrong, he'll go out of his way to make sure it's taken care of. His estimate was a bit higher than others we received, but the peace of mind of hiring a quality general was well worth it. I will be using Denning construction again for my future projects.
