Description of Work: We've dealt with a basement sewer odor off and on since we bought our home 1-1/2 years ago. We never had any backup issues or clogged drains, just an on and off foul odor. We had a local plumbing company out roughly 8 months ago, and they claimed our sewer pipe outside the house was crushed and they wanted over $5,000 to dig up the yard and repair the piping. We had funky vibes from almost the moment the service rep walked through the door. His diagnosis didn't make any sense, as the yard had no sign of a leakage and we had no issues with drainage. We looked further into the matter, and exhausted all our attempts to fix the issue. We searched for a reputable company, and were referred to Pro Rooter. Brett scheduled us quickly, and came out for a little detective work. We are so impressed with his professionalism and plumbing knowledge. After performing a smoke test, he located the problem within our basement wall. There was a vent pipe that had been crushed in the footings and abandoned open....never capped off.... allowing sewer venting in between the wall. Phew, talk about a crazy find. Several hours after being repaired, NO MORE ODOR!!!! Brett is our hero. Not only did he fix it, but he was an absolute pleasure, and charged a very reasonable fee. Thanks so much Brett :)

+ -1 moreTo accommodate me, Brett came on a Saturday morning, checked out all the drains, and pinned down the problem to the washing machine leak, all in a very timely manner. I greatly appreciate him.
Description of Work: The drain the the basement appeared to be clogged the first time I called. I had previously had a very bad and costly experience and was looking for a more experienced drain cleaner. Brett quickly identified the problem, cleaned the drain for a reasonable price. I called him the second time there was water on the basement floor because I trusted him after my first experience.

Description of Work: There was a back up in the basement bathroom. I used one plumber, but it very quickly backed up again. Brett of Pro Rooter came, did a thorough job and charged less than the previous plumber. I have recommended Brett to others.

+ -1 moreI called Pro Rooter this morning after seeing the recommendations on Angie's list .Brett arrived as scheduled, had the proper equipment and was very thorough in cleaning out the lines and stayed to make sure that water was running through the lines without impediment. The cost was very reasonable for the work involved. I would definitely recommend Pro Rooter to anyone needing a plumber in this area.

+ 1 moreMan showed up quickly once we called and began in a very professional like manner to identify the source of the foul odor that we had in our house. He ran some camera thing down the pipe and once he located the actual problem, he was able to fix it with some type of water jet tool. The also made an inspection of the offending roof vent and helped with a cap vent thing on it that would prevent future problems like this. He was very good at cleaning up after himself and had a great personality which made the entire experience a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
Description of Work: Located the source of the horrible sewer odor we were having and fixed the problem. Turned out to be birds had made a nest that fell into the vent.
