For some of the work an arborist wasn't present and the crew asked me what to cut. I don't know, that's why I hired an arborist & was paying for what I thought was a premium service (sold as one, said it was more expensive, do to higher Cali etc workers and knowledge) The grove they cut was (I found out later) not supposed to be pruned until the fall, before dormancy. The timing made them susceptible to disease. Which happened & now need expensive treatment to fix. Some of those trees died & had to be removed. The two elms they worked on have dropped limbs (multiple, 3 very large) 15-25 ft long, luckily missing people or property. The ash was looked at by another arborist who said it needs to come down for safety, they had pruned it & left it up. They did say it was decayed at top branches, but also stated it was good for another 10 years. The whole thing didn't go smoothly, from the poor communication to asking if I'd drive out a check to them. I needed help with the many trees on my property over the long haul, and instead got a breeze in and out service at a premium. I will add the positive. Recently, service was Last year, my big trees have stopped dropping wood everywhere in the slightest wind. It's a reprieve and I believe it's do to pruning along with the wind throwing down deadwood.

My advice would be to get an estimate first. I asked to have them trimmed as in the past but did not get an estimate. They could not provide me information or bill from the last time I had them trimmed.
Description of Work: I have used their annual tree care services for years and been happy with the work. However, they trimmed two small trees and charged me $300 which was twice the amount they had charged in the past. When contacting them they said they could not send out a crew for less than that amount. They did not need a crew to trim these trees.
