They had a job forman to oversee the work and then it was inspected by the owner the following day. I would definately recommend this company to anyone looking to replace their roof.

Overall the tear off and replacement of old roof and installing of plywood sheeting took 2 days and went very smoothly. I was extremely satisfied with the service, timeliness and professionalism of Nick and IWC. There was a small issue that arose in the spring, but Nick stayed in contact and stood by the work and came back to fix at no charge. I would definitely recommend this company as they stand behind there work and are extremely easy to work with.
Description of Work: Recently purchased a home and knew going into it that it needed a complete tear off and replacement of roof that was 25+ years old. Roughly 2000 sf roof. I went with a 50 year roof shingle and I am very satisfied.

They stayed to their bid and even did some extra work for me removing an electrical vent. They have great warranty. I was vey impressed and very pleased with every aspect of the process.

+ -1 moreWhen Josh came to do the estimate, he explained how the process would work and answered all my questions thoroughly and clearly. He provided the estimate right then. IWC arranged for the drop-off and pick-up of the dumpster. The roofing crew arrived earlier than I expected that morning. In retrospect, considering the heat, I understand why, but it was a surprise that morning. Most of the work was done while I was at work, and by the time I came home that evening, the roof was done and the area had been cleaned up. So far we've had a couple rain storms and haven't noticed any problems, so it appears everything is good.

The Crew was polite and careful around our house, the Crew seemed to work very hard, and well together to get our roof finished in one, long, hot, day! It was nice not having a project hanging around, though initially, I did not think that would bother me. The Crew did clean up the yard and any mess making the project just kind of go by without being a big deal on my end. I would definitely recommend, Intermountain West Contractors, for your roof repairs, or replacement. My Brother owns a roofing company in Washington State, and has experience working in Utah as well. The experience, materials, and techniques used by the team at Intermountain West Contractors is something I trust. The roof looks Great! I got a new skylight, and my house and garage have been noticeably cooler since the new roof, and upgraded ventilation, just as I was told it would be. A Great Thanks to the Crew, Josh, and Intermountain West Contractors, I will sleep better this winter!
Description of Work: Our roof was in bad shape, I did not think it would last another winter. I knew from experience that I had 2 layers of shingles, and a lot of dry rot plywood underneath from poor ventilation, causing the roof to sag and starting some minor leaking, I also have a sky light I wanted to keep. I interviewed several, at least 10 or more contractors for the job to replace my roof and dry rot plywood. A hand full was good, could have been difficult to decide between. When I meet Josh, with Intermountain West Contractors, I was impressed. Josh came to my house and was the first and only person that could tell me what I knew was wrong with my roof and what the best solution would be. Josh is also the only person that could tell me more then I already knew, like the poor ventilation was causing my shingles to bake from the inside out, causing the extremely poor condition of my existing shingles, Josh explained that the solution he proposed would also help cool my house and garage. I expected Intermountain West Contractors, to be on the high end of the bids and probably not afford them. I was wrong. Intermountain West Contractors came in very competitive, along with some of the other contractors that I was impressed with, though keeping in mind Josh's obvious, real roof experience had already made them a step above the rest.

After the first one, (months ago), Gerald said he would call me back about mitigating the great gulf between what we paid and how bad they were. (They actually never finished the job, but got paid.)

I am just a guy who had a lot of fears going into this and could not be more pleased with the delivery and result. It is so rare to get what you are promised in life. This is one of those times. I would recommend this roofing company to EVERYONE!!!!
Description of Work: We received several bids to have our roof re-shingled with tear off of old shingles. IWC Roof was not the cheapest or the most expensive. We went with them after reading all the reviews online at Angie’s list. I have worked in the construction industry in my 20’s and 30’s and know how difficult it is to find reliable construction workers and was very worried about having my roof re-shingled and have been putting it off for too long. John came out and gave me their bid and gave me a list of 10 plus things they were going to do on the house, even saying they were going to repaint all the pipes on the roof to match the shingles. He quoted me a replacement cost of $45 per sheet of plywood on the roof with the first 4 being free. I had a detached garage also that needed to be done which ended up being kind of tricky. I decided to go with IWC Roof and the next day they scheduled me 2 weeks out. Two days before my roofing date they called to line up the dumpster drop off as they were going to do a tear off of my two layers of old shingles. The day before the big day they dropped off the dumpster and the morning of, they showed up at 6:30 in the morning with 8 guys and got to work. The crew was very professional, and worked extremely well together. They took their time for me to double check their punch list. My roof had a lot of water damage and they needed to replace 27 sheets of plywood. I was there double checking and counting all the sheets they were taking off to make sure that they were not padding the numbers (which they did not). The sheets were replaced, the ice and water shield was placed down two layers back like they said. They used a synthetic tar paper, not the old fashioned kind, gave the roof a ridge vent, new drip edge, built a cricket for the chimney, and cleaned the area all in a DAY!!!! This is not even mentioning the weird extra garage they shingled and the odd roof line they had to deal with. It took way more time then they expected but did not charge me any extra. From start to finish this roofing company exceeded every one of my expectations. They charged me what we agreed on in the beginning plus the 23 sheets of plywood.

+ -1 moreTerribly. They did not have their s**t together whatsoever. No supervisor onsite almost all of the time. Salesman did not even look at the inside of the home, consequently workers cut through roof and into the inside of the house (big cut) on a vaulted ceiling. Owner finally came out and bullshitted me about how they would repair it. He told me they would do it right. They did not. This roof was put on three or four (maybe five) years ago. I have been too ****** off until now to write review. Do not use these guys.

+ -1 moreEverything went great! The crew even had to deal with our street being resealed. The crew was friendly and asked if I had questions or concerns. The owner worked with me on the schedule and getting the shingles here a day early because of the street resealing. When it was all done the crew cleaned up most everything, some small debris was still on my drive and patio when they left but cleaned up with a hose spray. Part of the recover was to replace my turtle vents with ridge vents. Call me crazy, but I swear my house and garage are somewhat cooler now. Two gentlemen came by the day after to follow up and make sure I was satisfied and asked if I had any questions. The office lady that contacted me the next day about billing was also informative about my guarantee and my payment options. All in all, I hope I have a need to use IWC again in the future, just not for my roof. I would definitely recommend them for the services they provide.

Got all my questions answered once (English speaking) manager arrived for quality control check later in the day. Quality of work seems good from my vantage point on ground level. . Believe them when they say they can complete the job in one day! Make sure you check your driveway and the area surrounding the house after they are done!! Found more nails in the driveway and yard after dumpster had been picked up, but this is to be expected with any roofer. Convenient payment options (they did not insist on a deposit, nor was payment required on the same day the job was completed).
