IWC was very professional in their presentation and they were competitive with their pricing. They were persistent in following up with me after the estimates were collected, to let me know that they wanted the job. Out of 6 bids that I solicited, IWC was the only one who called me back after their estimate to see if they could have my business. None of the other contractors bothered to call back - big mistake for them. IWC completed the job to my satisfaction, and in a timely fashion. When I needed something, they responded very promptly. I would use them again, should I need anything in the future. Great responsiveness!

I received 3 estimates from roofers. This company was not the cheapest but I felt at the time they would do a good job.The owner presented the estimate and said he would over see the work, however I did not see him at the site. When he wanted to collect the rest of the money I asked if the extra things he promised, (gutter repair and 4 ply wood repairs) were done he said he'd check and get back to me. He didn't. I think if I have a problem he'll fix it but I have not had a problem as of this date. The crew was quick and the roof looks nice. There is one area I have a question about but here in Salt Lake we have snow now and it's covered in snow. The owner seems very nice but I was a little disappointed in the follow up. All in all I think it's definately worth your time to get an estimate from this company.

What can I say - Gerald and IWC scored big with us again! We live in Michigan and purchased a 4-plex in Provo that was in major need of repair. So much so that we seriously considered demolishing the existing structure and rebuilding from the ground up. We had Gerald take a look at our place and he convinced us that he would be able to get the roof and windows in good shape for a reasonable price so we hired him and we are happy that we did. The roof looks outstanding (see separate roofing review) and now the windows look great too. Most importantly to us is that the work was done right. Since we live in Michigan we have relied on a Utah friend who builds spec homes in and around Deer Valley to be our eyes on this project. He is a stickler for details and has no tolerance for corner cutting. On multiple occasions he has called us and commented that Gerald's company "does things the right way" and he is also impressed with the quality of the materials they have used. Having Ron (our friend) say this is a high compliment indeed (about as high as they come in the construction business). We are very happy that we found Gerald and will use him again in the future. Knowing that we have found someone who won't cut corners and who does things the right way is priceless to us!

We recently purchased a 4 plex in Provo that is over 100 years old. It was BADLY in need or repairs and updating with the roof being the most neglected feature (the windows a close second). There were 4 layers of old roofing (one on top of the other) and the roof was wavy with signs of significant water damage in and around the edges and flashings. We live in Michigan so we rely heavily on Angie's list to get work done on our rental properties in Utah. We chose IWC based on Angie's list reviews and Gerald's responsiveness to our initial call and request for a quote. Long story short, we are very happy that we chose IWC! This roof ended up being a very complicated project. Removing the 4 roofing layers exposed a base structure that was constructed very differently from today's standards. The outdated design was part of the problem but the bigger problem turned out to be the corners that were cut by those who had put on the previous layers. This was a really challenging project but Gerald never complained and his team did the job right - every step of the way! This was definitely a case of the beast being turned into a beauty - the final project looks fantastic but equally importantly to us, we know that it was done with a high degree of technical skill and done properly. We are very grateful to Gerald and his IWC team and give them our highest recommendation.

I've had quite a few of my shingles blown off over a period of time. A representative of IWC stopped by my home and offered a free estimate to replace my roof. The following week, the owner, Mr. Sommer came by, inspected my roof and gave me a bid. I wanted to think about it and he called me the next day. I informed Mr. Sommer that would get a second bid from a competing company and he said he would contact me the following week. I contacted another company and got a bid from them which was quite a bit higher. After contacting the Better Business Bureau and receivng an excellant recommendation from them, I contracted with IWC to do the job. The work was done on October 24, 2012 and completed in one day as promised. I'm very pleased with the results.

I spoke to a very friendly person on the phone. They were very helpful. They did not do the work that i was looking for but was very kind and gave me some company names that could help me.

Crew completed work in about two and a half days. Assume original decking was in good shape, as I was not informed otherwise. Crew did a good job of cleaning up debris.

The work IWC did is made to last and it looks amazing. Gerald's customer service is some of the best I've ever had. He's up front, honest and he doesn't try to cut corners on the projects. I had been trying to get another roofing companies to give us a bid, and the bids were ok but not great. I almost went with one company in particular, but then they kept changing their bid and wouldn't call me back when I had questions. It seemed really dishonest to me and like they didn't even want my money. Any questions I had or any extras that we had to do, Gerald explained up front what needed to be done so there was no suprise cost at the end. Any future projects I have, this company will get my business. I am a life time customer now thanks to their great work and outstanding customer service.

The general contractor, Gerald, was great to work with. He met with me and explained the process so that I would know what to expect. We had not quite decided on who we were going to have do the work yet. Gerald kept in contact with me without being pushy and was very personable. We had a budget and IWC price was the best. As soon as we decided that IWC would be doing the work, the job was scheduled within the week. The crew showed up on time and worked hard all day, even in the 90+ degree heat. They cleaned up after themselves before they left each day. They took care of all my concerns that I asked them to. The roof looks great, I'm very pleased. I will have no problem referring all my friends.

I was pleased with our initial meeting with Jerald Sommer. He was courteous and knew what he was talking about. His experience in the building trade meant a lot to me. Everything he promised was delivered, and on time. From start to finish the experience was very good. I am very pleased with the finished product and have had several compliments from my neighbors on how good my home looks. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jerald and his company for roofing work, or any other work for that matter. It's good to work with someone you can trust.

My experience with this contractor was good overall. This particular contractor was doing my neighbors roof so he stopped and talked to us while he was in the area. He agreed to match some previous bids that we had obtained. He also suggested that he could complete the job in its entirety in one day. He also mentioned that he was a little different than other roofing contractors because he installed a ridge vent instead of turtle vents. I called him a week or so later to ask him some follow up questions. I talked with two people and they were both very honest and professional. They actually came to my house that very same day and gave my wife a contract. We paid far less than half initially. The workers showed up when they were supposed to, performed the work promptly and thoroughly, and cleaned up the inevitable mess very well. One thing to note is that the job actually took two days for them to complete. A few days after the work was completed, the contractor called to see how I liked the new roof and answered some questions that I had. I liked the efficiency, professionalism, and politeness that I received throughout the entire process. After calling a few companies for bids where companies didn't even show up, I was very impressed with how prompt this company was.

Great. Roof was stripped and decking applied the first day, along with the layer of felts. Shingles were applied the second day. Finishing touches on the third, which took a couple of hours.

We met with them on a Thursday afternoon, They described the services and we discussed what was included and excluded. They said that they would be out within the next couple of weeks and that they would complete the work in a single day. They came out as they stated they would with a full crew. They protected all the adjacent areas from debris. The crew had the old roof on, sheathing replaced and new roofing up as they said they would in a single day. They than thoroughly cleaned up and left the site. Overall it was a pleasant experience that was finished with quality and in the time promised. I would highly recommend them to anybody and would use them again

Gerald was very professional and the service I received was excellent! Gerald kept in great contact with me throughout my window installation and new roofing process. The workers were also very respectful of my property and my wishes as they worked on my house. I am definitely recommending this company to all of my friends and family.

Well, we decided to take the plunge and replace the roof. It was time. This company came recommended from a friend of ours so we decided to give them a try. We could not have been more pleased with the results. We were so pleased with the roof work that we took out a small loan to then replace most of our homes windows! The crews were very professional and didn't leave a trace of a mess behind. We absolutely love the new windows and they are very well insulated. The installation job was perfect, its as if they are original, except brand new! We have shared our experience with friends in the area and decided to post it here as well. Thanks IWC!
