Getting a new roof is a big messy job that takes a decent amount of logistics. These guys were great. Price was the most competitive that I found. Scheduled start date happened right on time. Materials were delivered right when needed. We have a reasonably large home that was reroofed in 2 days! Clean up was perfect. There is lot to clean up! These guys worked hard. Presale and Postsale follow up was great.

We had 2 visits for bids from this provider: 1 for windows. This gentleman who came to our home was punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, we never heard back from him regarding pricing. The other for roofing. Again, very punctual, knowledgeable and friendly employee. We got a verbal bid from him as well and wanted to proceed with the job, but we have not been able to reach anyone to schedule the work that we wanted to be done. Seems like a good company, but difficult to communicate with.

This crew was fantastic!! They arrived at my home the time and day that was scheduled. A large garbage bin was delivered and placed next to my house the day before. Seven workers removed the entire roof, replaced and reinforced beams, built a new roof, and re shingled the house all in one day. The crew was quick, efficient and did a fantastic job. They cleaned up every piece of the old roof and did not leave a single nail on the lawn. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a new roof. IWC provided the best quote for the services performed out of 4 bids. One reason I chose IWC was because of the solid online reviews. Work began about 3 weeks after the quote, which was a couple weeks faster than the other bids. The dumpster was delivered the night before work began. One the first day, shingle tear-off was performed and 1/2 of the roof completed. It started to rain the first evening so they took great care to cover any exposed areas to prevent any leakage inside the roof. They cleaned up the job site after the first day to ensure a safe yard for the evening. They finished the roof mid day the second day. They started both days before 8am. The workers were very respectful. I have a high roof so I saw some workers tied in for safety which made me feel more comfortable. They even painted all the roof pipes to match the roof, however, they painted over wet caulking which I guess is OK, it's on the roof. The dumpster was promptly picked up the following day. The shingles were placed in perfectly straight lines which I appreciated. They used 6 nails per shingle instead of 4. As an added bonus, they left the internet dish on the roof and worked around it until right at the end so internet service was no lost. They pulled up the dish, shingled under it, and replaced it immediately in the exact location so that it even remained properly aimed.

Work crew showed up on-time and worked diligently until job was finished.

This project went super well and fast once the weather finally cooperated and gave us a couple dry days to work with. Gerald was on time for the estimate process and returned all of my calls and answered all of my questions. I really appreciated his simple practical approach to everything. He never made me feel like they were going to to anything unnecessary and also made me feel like they offered a great product and service. Some of the other estimates I received included things that seemed like they just wanted to do them to make extra money and not that they were absolutely necessary. To our relief the final bill was exactly what they quoted. The job took just a day and a half and they made sure that the mess was cleaned up. Thanks again for the new roof. Cheers! Joe

I initially contacted them for a repair estimate for recent wind damage. The owner came out the next day. I told him the roof was 18 years old and had seen repeated wind damage. I knew our roof was not of the highest quality, and is exposed to a lot of wind. I asked for an estimate for a re-roof. He gave me three quotes. 1) For a repair, with a recommendation that it be re-roofed within a couple years, 2) Re-roof with a complete tear-off of the original roof, and 3) Re-roof over the existing roof. He explained that an issue with the 3rd option is that IF there is any underlying problem, that this option just covers it up. Also the warrenty on this was not as good but still 25 years) and it could cause an issue if we decided to sell the house. I verified his advice, and also noted that the quote was well under the averages I could research on the internet. We decided to first repair the roof and then go with option 3. When we explained that, he said they would patch the roof for no charge. The schedule was about 2 weeks out. The patch held fine during the heavy rain we recently had. The dumpster was delivered Tuesday evening, the tear-off crew came Wednesday evening and got the roof about half finished, and then finished Thursday. The original quote was for 1-1/2 days. They found 13 sheets that had to be replaced, the quote included 3, with a stated price for each extra. Given the previous wind damage, I was not surprised or disappointed. This contractor 1) said what they would do, and 2) Did what they said. Their clean up was complete. Even when the dumpster was picked up, the truck driver swept up debris that had blown under the dumpster. Getting a new roof is not a 'fun' purchase, but this team made it easy and painless.

We had a roof leak, so used Angie's list to identify 3 contractors. We made an appoint for IWC to inspect the roof and provide an estimate on 5/13/15. A half hour after the appointment, I called to see where they were, but got no answer. A little while later, the "owner" called and said something had come up and he needed to reschedule. He wanted to provide a quote over the phone - which I refused. How could he possibly provide a quote on a repair when he had never even seen the issue. I told him I wanted to know if the roof was repairable or needed replaced. We rescheduled for Friday 5/15. Again, he didn't show up and didn't call to say he wasn't coming. There is no chance I would hire or recommend this contractor to anyone. I wouldn't trust my home to someone who can't be bothered to keep in touch with potential customers.

Kendell and his crew installed gutters and downspouts in areas that were missing. They also performed some minor repairs on existing gutters and flashing. Kendell advised me on future maintenance of my gutters and roof. He went out of his way to further protect my home from possible water damage. It was re-assuring to know that Kendell, the one who gave me the estimate, was also the one who performed the work. I was anxious to have my gutters installed before the next wave of rain storms. On short notice, Kendell adjusted his schedule to fit me in. Him and his crew were punctual, professional and very trustworthy. It rained the next day, and the gutters worked as designed and the repairs held up. I'll seriously consider Intermountain West Contractors for future roofing needs.

The put on the new roof with all the bells and whistles in a day and a half. Impressive. That includes shoveling off 6" of snow the first morning. They even cleaned out the rain gutters and worked well in conjuction with the contractor who put in the new swamp cooler. Gerald was very personal to deal with and was accomodating when a communcation error occured. New roof looks great and looks like it will last.

We just had our roof replaced and IWC was great. They were the best price we could find and really great quality. The crew was respectful and professional and they were very efficient. They came within days of signing the agreement. The new roof has really improved the appearance of our home (and our peace of mind during storms). Thanks IWC!

Gerald was very professional and friendly when he came to give an estimate for re-roofing our home. He provided a thorough explanation of options available and the associated costs. The estimate given was very fair and I had no hesitation in choosing Gerald for the job of re-roofing my home. The work was done at the agreed time and in a very timely manner, even though the weather did not cooperate! Clean-up after the job was well done and thorough. I would highly recommend Gerald and IWC, working with them has been a pleasure.

It was wonderful. He was very responsive to my request and professional in his evaluation. He told me that the roof would be fine for another 5 years, but to keep them in mind when it did need replacing. His honesty and integrity are admirable. Intermountain West Contractors were fantastic to work with! They beat two other bids by thousands of dollars! I couldn?t believe it when I was told they could do the job in one day, but they did. My roof was over 4,000 square feet. The quality of materials, Owens Corning, was top notch. The 8 workers were fast and polite. When the job was finished they cleaned up perfectly. They kept all of their promises. I have some income properties and when the time comes I will absolutely use them again!

I had a few roofing contractors come and give me a bid before Intermountain West Contractors showed up. When Gerald showed up to give a quote he was very easy to talk to and very informative of his product and how he installed to give the best protection possible for my roof. Besides getting all the right features for the roof I was concerned that this was it was going to cost a lot of money for what he proposed. He came In at a much better price than anyone else. Installation crew let me know what was going on everyday and they did not mind me hanging around watching what they were doing at times. And then when they were done they did a very thorough clean up making sure to remove any nails, which was a concern of mine since I have children that play in the yard. I would highly recommend Intermountain West Contractors to anyone that needs to replace their roof.

My search for a roofer began with 9 bids. Gerald arrived promptly for my appointment. Right away he set my mind at ease, he is a clean cut, mild mannered and friendly young man. Gerald spent a good amount of time on my roof checking the integrity and looking at some of the issues I was having. He explained everything in detail including the reason I was having water penetrate into my living room-I needed a cricket behind the chimney :). No one else mentioned that. He also mentioned that ridge venting would greatly save me in energy costs, and that the ugly whirly's could go. Super! I did a lot of research on which product to use before I started my search for a roofer, knowing that Owens Corning Duration was the way to go I was pleased to find out that this was in fact what IWC uses. Gerald explained every part of the sales contract in great detail and It was the best bid, best warranty, and the best product! The crew completed the job very quickly and the clean up was perfect. My roof looks absolutely awesome! Thank you so much Gerald and crew, I am thoroughly pleased with the work that you did.

They just completed my roof and I couldn't be happier! Gerald came to my home anad gave me his bid, it was much less than others I had. The roof is BEAUTIFUL. They came on time and completed the job in 2 days, leaving my yard immaculate, you would never know that I had any work done. They are fast & efficient and go way beyond anything I could have expected! I wish I could give them a higher grade, A+++, for sure! Professional, courteous, OUTSTANDING. I will not hesitate to call them again, I will look no further when I have a job that they will do.

I had a pleasant experience, Gerald the owner, came to my home and gave me a bid to replace my roof. He was to the point and did not sugar coat anything. Easy to talk to and work with he was upfront, honest and thorough about the replacement of my roof. I did have other bids after Gerald left my home and the other bids did not compare. My roof was replaced in one day! With upgrades and updated materials my roof looks great. The crew was fast and efficient. I was walked through the entire process, from the Intermountian West Contractors secretary to the roofing crew they answered my questions completely. I would recommend this company to my closest friends. Even the company that delivered my shingles had high regard to Gerald and his company. No need to get more bids you've found the right company to replace your roof.

Great experience working with Gerald and his team. They got my roof done very quickly. Almost anytime I had a question they got back to me with an answer very quickly. The job they did was excellent, and the price was reasonable and actually lower than other places. They had a gutter guy work with them so I was able to get the advantage of the two of them working tougher - especially because it required some coordination. Gutters and shingles look fantastic. They went out of their way always asking if I was happy with everything. Guys cleaned up well the job and garbage, and after the shingles were laid they took time to make the details stand out - sealing any cracks, and painting the vents up top so they matched and looked good with the roof. Great job!

very professional. crew arrived on time made incredible progress-2 and one half days to complete job that could have taken a week. placed tarps around house to catch debris. very conscientious in clean up. followed up with replacing rain gutters by a young crew who went over board to make sure the customer was happy with the job.

I was impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism of this company, and the value of the work. Gerald came out to do the bid on the project; it came in at the lowest price, and with the same or better features as other bids. Once we decided to go ahead with the project, Gerald met me that same day with samples to choose the color, and they were able to schedule the work to be done the following week. I was surprised at how quickly the work was done, in just a day and a half. Things don't always go with a hitch, but I believe sometimes a company's strengths can be seen in how well they deal with problems as they arise, and perhaps even use them to seek ways to improve their processes. To be fair, there was an oversight regarding the building permit; yet, this issue was remedied as quickly as possible, without excuses, and to my satisfaction. Throughout the project, everyone I spoke with, including Gerald, Chris in the office, the foreman, Joe, and the guys on his crew were all very professional, courteous and helpful. I felt like they really went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the work, and I appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction. I would definitely recommend them, and would use them again.

I am very impressed with Gerald's eagerness to make the customer happy. The price was fantastic, and he willingly threw in the tiny stuff like fascia fixes without itemizing each thing. The quality of the roof is outstanding, and it looks great. I liked that he had several color options and an automatic 10-year warranty. Kendall did a fantastic job with the gutters. I had two trouble spots, which other gutter installers told me were simply impossible to install gutters. Kendall initially demurred as well, and I begged him to find a way - not only did he successfully install gutters, he managed to make them attractive as well! My only (small) caveat is that the communication within the company is messy. I felt like I was project managing the whole process, explaining the same thing to Gerald, the foreman, the workers themselves and the secretary and having to stay on top of what needed to be done and when. (I.E. The gutter people showed up to do the gutters when the roof hadn't even been done. The roofers ran out of supplies and had to wait for them to arrive and didn't inform Gerald - when he called to check on the job, he was surprised to learn it wasn't finished. The secretary called two or three different times to request payment, and I had to keep saying the job isn't finished.) However, for the quality I got at the low price I paid, I was fine handling communications - I just would have like to know beforehand that I was going to be doing that.

I am an HOA Committee member for a small town home complex in Utah. We have 3 buildings with a total of 16 town homes. We were in desperate need of a new roof for all 3 of our buildings. I had a total of 4 different Roofing Contractors come out and give an estimate. No other contractor was able to beat IWC in price, warranty, or quality! Intermountain West Contractors' CEO, Gerald Sommer, came out himself to do the estimate. He sat down with me and gave me accurate estimate. . .no hidden fees, etc. He was very professional and even came to an HOA meeting to explain what would go on with the job, explained all that was included with the job, etc. and answered all of our owners questions. His crew arrived on Wednesday morning and got right to work! They were done with all 16 Town homes/ 3 buildings by Friday Afternoon! They were fast and efficient! They paid close attention to details making sure that every scrap and nail and staple was picked up everyday! Not just by the end of the job! Gerald was also able to help our owners out with financing as we had to do a special HOA assessment for this project. He was able to get our owners 0% interest for 1 year!!! Work was performed to schedule. Very fast work. Very good clean-up. Gerald did a great job and excellent customer service. I would definitely use him again. Only complaint is the gutter contractor he subcontracted with has not followed through.
