Was able to get here the same day I called. Determined cause of problem and suggested replacing only the part that was defective. Stated that if problem occurred again, it was part of a larger part. If that happened he would gladly credit the larger repair with the cost of the part he installed. I deeply appreciated a plausible less costly repair. He worked quickly and was finished in about 30 minutes. Very personable and professional. I would highly recommend.

Today Dean did the diagnostics on two appliances. Bosch dishwasher and Subzero Freezer. Both are major repairs that he has to order parts for. Since the freezer part will probably get here before the dishwasher part, he is going to come and do that repair just as soon as he can and then come back for the dishwasher. I'm impressed that he was willing to do that. Dean was very friendly and knowledgable. He let me ask all the questions I wanted to without seeming to be annoyed. Even one about yet another appliance and he told me what I needed to do for that. He also let me pick his brain about good brands to buy and how to use my oven better. I was VERY pleased with Dean's service and will definitely be calling him again and referring him to all my friends and family.

Dean was awesome-just like the previous reviewers had mentioned. Very knowledgeable, respectful, prompt, courteous. He diagnosed the problem then gave me my options. The price was very fair. He was accurate and skilled in what he did. My dishwasher has worked perfectly ever since! I would definitely use him again and recommend him!

On time, fair pricing. Older style dishwasher, Parts took longer than expected with holiday. Will definitely call again.

I called Dean and told him that my Sub Zero freezer wasn't freezing. He said over the phone that there were a few things I could try first that might fix the problem and save me a lot of money. I had another company (Famous Appliance Service) out to look at it the day before and they told me that I needed a new compressor and it would cost $1030! After doing what Dean had suggested over the phone over the course of a couple days, my freezer re-booted and started working again. It's been a day now and it's still running great. Dean not only saved me a ton of money, but he has earned a new customer. If and when I need an appliance repair again, you can be sure I'm going to be calling Dean at Beehive Appliance.

We did not get the dishwasher fixed, but know what to do to get the best price on a replacement.

Even though my dishwasher was a simple fix that I could have done myself (see above), Dean was very kind about it. He looked at my dryer while I scrubbed the crap off of the dishwasher seal and he did not charge me extra for looking at the second appliance. (He did offer to clean the seal for me, but I did not see the point in him having to clean our gunk.) Even though he looked at two appliances and spent time searching for the part for my dryer, he only charged the service call fee and I appreciated that. The lesson I learned is to not by Samsung appliances (because nobody works on them) and to clean the gunk from your dishwasher seal regularly.

The repairman called within an hour of the appointment time to inform us he was running late and inquire if we wanted to reschedule for another day or have him stop by later that afternoon. We opted for the latter. Upon arrival he quickly diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher---line to the garbage disposal was plugged, and cleaned it out. He then rechecked the unit and it drained fine. After examining the washing machine he concluded that while it could be repaired, parts and labor would cost more than half the purchase price of a new Whirlpool washer. He advised against putting that much money into repair considering the age of the appliance, and suggested some measures we could take when using the washer to prolong its life. He also recommended a couple of replacement models when it came time to replace it. We elected to keep the washer but did not have any repair work done to it, as per his recommendation. The repairman was very cordial, polite, and knowledgeable (he answered all of our questions). His candid opinion that the washing machine was not worth repairing was much appreciated.

Dean did everything he could to save me money. He explained what he was doing very well. He was dressed nicely, spoke politely, and was tidy. He had a lot of experience he was willing to share with me while he worked on my oven. I will use him again.

We have nice appliances and kitchen because of a previous owner, not because of our own wealth. The technician showed up and was very nice and personable. He quoted the price of parts to fix these two issues as nearly $1000. When I gasped, he said, "Well, you have quality appliances, so you have quality problems." In addition, he said it would take 2-3 weeks to get the parts. I gave him $500 as a downpayment for parts. But after he left I went online to find the prices of the parts and found he had quoted 250% of the cost I could buy the parts myself--and that I could get them within 3-4 days. I canceled my downpayment check. We did what we should have done in the first place and fixed the ovens ourselves. We fixed the first problem (oven door not closing) with magnets. We fixed the second problem (oven not programming) by turning the power off for 30 seconds and then turning it back on. Problems completely fixed. Cost? $0 except for the so-called "service" call and check cancellation fee. If this company was in the business to actually serve people and build up a loyal clientele they would have 1) suggested that we try turning off the power (surely they know this trick) and 2) charged a reasonable price for parts. But feel that they came in, looked around, and thought, "Hmmm, these people can afford big bucks," so they ran the scam on us.

We have had a leak in our dishwasher for awhile. We called Beehive Appliance Repair. Dean came out the next day, evaluated the problem. He ordered a new seal and will install it in a couple of days.

I called Dean and he scheduled a time with me. 12-3. At 3, I called him to see if he was close, as I had to get the kids. I left a message and he called me right back and apologized for the delay. The job he was on was taking longer than he'd anticipated and he thought he'd still be at least an hour. Ok. He arrived at 4:35 and listened to my story. He removed the front panel of the dishwasher and started the cycle, looking for leaks or drips. He told me that it was a bad pump. He said that the cost of a new pump is about $310 plus his labor. When I told him that the dishwasher is 10 years old, he said that I should put my money towards a new dishwasher because in a dishwasher that old, the parts will start failing and the cost of repairs will eventually outpace the cost of a new dishwasher. I appreciated the honesty. He lost a sale, but he has gained a forever customer! You can't pay for that kind of honesty. I opted to discuss a new appliance with my husband. If I can choose who installs it, it will be him.

Our washer was out and they scheduled to come on the same day I called. The appointment was a 3 hour window, and they came at the very end but they did call about 15 minutes earlier to confirm. In just a few minutes he was able to tell us that the washer would be less expensive to replace than repair. We paid the fee for a service call and started shopping. Although we didnt use any repair service, they were good to work with and we'll call again the next time we need this type of work.

Would highly recommend Beehive. Had some problems with my washer and they came out in a timely fashion, making sure they called first. And they showed up on time. The problem was minor, and I was a bit irritated with myself for not reading the manual and taking care of it myself (socks and other stuff stuck in the filter). Not irritated with Beehive - they were top notch. They were able to fix the problem and showed me how to do it myself so they did not get called out again. They even put in some new screws that I could remove with a screw driver instead of those goofy hex heads. Gave me some good pointers in getting the most out of the washer, and were very clean and professional. Explained the reason for the problem and I appreciate their honesty - as it would have been very easy to sell me something I did not need. Actually seemed almost apologetic that the problem was so minor. Perhaps minor to an experienced professional, but something I would have been messing around with for 3 or 4 hours. Great experience and I would not even consider anyone else if I have a repair issue with a large appliance. These guys do business the way folks used to do business. Very professional, honest and customer service orientated. Again, highly recommended.

I first called Action Appliance (found on Angie's list). They informed me they didn't work on this brand, as it was no longer manufactured. They kindly recommended the Beehive Appliance. I then phoned Beehive, on the list as well, and Dean Dahle came over the next morning. He said he had trained on this brand, and within a half an hour it was up and running. He was prompt, courteous, professional and did not tell me to buy a new range. Apparently, this brand was a good one.

Our very old electric oven began to short out and stopped working. We thought it might be irreparable due to the age of the appliance and likelihood that replacement parts (element and connectors) would be impossible to find. Two other appliance repair companies couldn't handle the problem so we had been without an oven for several months.The oven was original equipment in a home built in 1960 so it was going to be very expensive to replace as structural remodeling would be required to accommodate a new oven. Dean Dahle of Beehive Appliance accurately diagnosed the oven's problems in short order, gave me a reasonable estimate, found workable replacement parts and had the oven fixed and working within 9 days. Beehive Appliance provided professional, friendly service at a very fair and reasonable price. They will be my first choice for any home appliance repair in the future.

It appeared that my double oven was not reaching correct temperature. The serviceman checked both ovens and found they were reaching correct temperature. He then gave me some hints on how to better place food and when to use convection. When I purchased this house, the previous owners neglected to leave the instruction manual. The repairman was pleasant and professional. He was timely. I would use them again.

Dale answered the phone promptly, and was courteous and professional. He scheduled to come the same day and was on time and friendly. He addressed the problem I was having with my dryer, and indicated the issue was blockage due to lint build up. He cleaner out the inside area of the dryer and also indicated that I should have the line cleaned out (he does not provide that service). I was really happy that he was honest and did not try to perform additional, unnecessary work. He also looked at my stove, as the self cleaning mechanism is not working. He knew exactly what was wrong, ordered a part and indicated he will return to finish the work once he receives the part. I was very happy with his professionalism, honesty and knowledge. He's been in the industry for several years, and does all the work himself. I would highly recommend his service.

My Kenmore washer was not finishing its rinse cycling. We kept getting an error code. The water was dribbling out the exhaust hose. I looked up the code on the internet and found it had to do with the water pump either being clogged or faulty. I opened the bottom of the washer, found the trap and cleaned it, hopeful. But I still had the problem. So, fearing the worst, I came to Angie's list to find a good repair service. Whenever possible, I like to patronize nearby businesses, but Beehive Appliance Repair service, some seventeen miles away, had an excellent rating. I called and was told they could have someone here at 2:30 p.m. that day. Great. Come 2:30 p.m. and a friendly service man named Ryan appeared. I told him the history and he started to work. All the while I was wondering what water pumps cost. About twenty minutes after he arrived he said he was finished. Excellent. I went to the laundry room where he told me what had happened. A hose had been clogged with lint and hair. He had extracted it, run a diagnostic and everything was functioning properly. I asked him what I might do to prevent this happening the future. You know, he could have said "nothing much" or something like that if he wanted to assure a future visit. But he showed me where the hose was, told me how to access it, then told me where a hidden a catch was that I could get to easily, just inside the washer door. Besides more lint and hair we found a sock there (I now know what happened to at least one mate to an orphaned sock! :D). We cleared it out. It's easily accessible, so now I check it after each load. In chatting with him as we were finishing, he told me that they were a family business. I like that Dad's the owner a son and son-in-law are the service people and I believe a daughter handles the books. This is perfect for me. When I call, I am most likely speaking to the owner, none of this "for washer repair, press one" stuff. I will definitely use Beehive Appliance repair again. I even called my sister who much appreciated the referral. Terrific overall experience. Ryan was personable. Though I'm older than he is, I felt like my very knowledgeable "older brother" had my back on this thing.

I called 2 companies before Beehive but was told they don't work on LG appliances. Beehive gave me a same day appointment. The repairman came within the schedule window. He checked everything in my refrigerator including taking the back off the inside to see if there was ice build-up behind the panel. In the end, my compressor is bad which will cost more that it is worth to fix so I decided on no repair. I was only charged for a visit which I thought was a bargain considering everything he did.
