Horrible! They left a very dangerous situation with nails left laying around, half done work open and exposed in a very very dangerous way. One member of our family was injured because of the mess they left and ended up in urgent care. We called and called but they refused to come clean up the dangerous mess for almost a week, even AFTER the dangerous situation had already caused serious injury. They said they had other customers so they just left nails and exposed equipment out so that we couldn’t get in the house, to a bedroom or bathroom without passing through the danger. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Completely unreliable. For another job they repeatedly made appointments and did not show up. I took off work day after day to let them in and they just didn’t show up and didn’t call. I posted pictures below of some of the dangerous conditions and a bunch of the bent nails they left in the driveway right where we park the car. The photo with the bunch of nails is of the ones we picked up ourselves that were right in the path that we had to walk or park the car, and being bent made them extra dangerous to us. It was one of those that caused the trip to urgent care

I'm not someone to review companies but I was very upset by my process with this company and want to make sure others are aware of the potential red flags. Let me first start by saying that they were referred to me by a family in my neighborhood who had a wonderful experience with them (want to make sure I'm being as fair as possible here). I chose to use this company for a full remodel of my upstairs (approx. 1700 sq. ft.) and my exterior. Their bid came back the lowest of all the contractors and their time frame was the shortest to completion so I was excited to get going. Our initial meeting was in November '15 and I told him I'd like to get started the first of February - he said that was great. I sent him photos/details of my flooring, tile, rail, door selections, etc. so he could work on putting an accurate detailed proposal together for me. The end of January rolled around and I had still not heard a word from him about starting my job. I finally contacted him and he set up a meeting. HE HAD DONE NOTHING SINCE OUR INITIAL MEETING. Despite this, he told me we were only a few weeks off from getting going. Two weeks came and went and still nothing was done to move my proposal forward. After another week of no communication, he finally brought a tile guy out to measure. I kept texting to get updates to determine when we could get started and he said he was still working on the estimate for me, "but we're really close." His next visit to my home we walked through the electrical updates that needed to be made and rediscussed the tile work. I was purchasing all of my materials myself so his bids were strictly for labor (and materials like hardybacker, underlayment, etc.) I asked him for the tile figures so I could get it ordered and ready for when the job started. My bathrooms are maybe a little larger than average but he was just doing floors and showers. The bid FOR THE LABOR ALONE came back at 13,800!!! Further, the bill had absolutely no detail as to where this figure was coming from. He told me his hourly rate is $42 (which is higher than is stated here on Angies List) and that he refused to provide me with his figures for those basic materials like hardybacker. I've remodeled before so I know those types of materials don't cost a ton. To be generous, I estimated $1000 for those supplies. Dividing the rest of the expense up into his hourly rate, I calculated that his tile guy would have to work 8 hours a day for 7.6 weeks straight to reach the almost $14,000 estimate. He stated his company does not and will not provide detailed bids. I'm so thankful I found this out before he did any actual work on my home. His business practice is suspicious and I would never recommend him to anyone I know. Be very wary and, if you choose to hire him, make sure you question his estimates adequately. I could have lost quite a bit of money if I hadn't pushed for more info from him.

Every detail would take more time than I can today, so these are highlights: 1. Bid and tiling job were done very well, but their billing office is the worst I have ever experienced. 2. They waited approx 90 days to send me the first bill (which I thought must have been sent to co-manager and already been paid). I got a voicemail saying the amount of bill and that it was late, and I was completely baffled. (By then my nephew, who owns the home, could not be reached due to intense new job in CA). I called company that moment and said, "This makes no sense to me. I pay bills promptly, every single Wednesday morning. Why am I getting this bill from you months late?" Do not recall but first some vague answer, followed by "This is days from us turning it over to a Collections Agency. I normally pay bills via online bank, but wrote a check by hand and drove it to their office and handed it to the one woman working there. 3. Last Tues at 11:53 am my nephew in CA (home owner) texted that he got billed too. Same company, same job, same total. I texted he should not pay it, since I already had. I have the check (front and back) in my online system and looked at it. They deposited it on April 23 and it cleared at Cypress Credit Union in Sandy, Utah April 28. I have the teller # and batch processing #. Do not use this company! Incompetent billing office!

They did great work. I did have to call them several times before I heard back from them but when they were ready to do the work, they did it fast and efficiently. I thought the price was a bit high, but for me to do it myself I would have had to take at least several days off of work and it saved me a lot of cussing and fussing. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: We had some dripping water in our basement wall coming from upstairs. They repaired the leak upstairs from the kitchen sink, installed new insulation downstairs, replaced old moldy drywall.

I called this repairman and another one and scheduled the company to come out and bid some repair work and arranged to be there the whole afternoon (since this is a rental house). I had counter top, rain gutters, door repairs, carpet installation and many other little things. I gave the contractor my phone number and email address and he went inside to take measurements and such for the bid. He never got back to me to give me a bid. I don't think the numerous small tasks were worth his time.

ve had no such problems with Advanced, and have used them approximately 5 times so far. I would highly recommend them for anyone with a little job that you don't know who to call, or seems too small to call in the big guns.
Description of Work: We started using Advanced Maintenance a few months ago and have found them to be really reasonably priced, quick service and so far it seems, pretty qualified. We have a commercial restaurant where things are always going wrong in the kitchen. We've used them to change some gas lines, repair a hose that had come away from the wall, fix an oven door that's been broken since we bought it (used) 5 years ago, and right now as I am writing this they are fixing a drippy sink. I've had nightmare experiences with so-called 'handymen' who don't really know what they are doing and end up costing me more money to fix the problem they created. We ha

My wife and I had already moved out of state and needed to get some last minute repairs done to close on our house. Advanced Maintenance was able to work on short notice to complete these tasks and our realtor said they were done well. On top of that they were friendly and willing to forward the paid receipt to the interested party by closing, even though I had paid the wrong amount on my check and left them a few dollars short.
