Wasatch Home Inspections

The home we hired Jim to inspect was our first home we've ever purchased. We were inexperienced and admittedly nervous about the whole process. We were referred to Jim by some good friends who used him for their home inspection and they were blown away by the level of service he provided to them. They told us how Jim spent almost all day going through the home with them and truly inspecting every part of the house. That is what I wanted from my inspector. So we hired Jim. When we met him at the house he was busy checking all of the in-ground sprinkler lines. He greeted us with a big smile and took the time to get to know us a little bit and understand what our concerns were so he would make sure to fully address them. Jim was nearly finished with his inspection at the time we arrived so I followed him around the yard as he checked every zone in the sprinkler system. Jim knew this was to be our first home so he happily took the time to teach me about the sprinkler system, how it worked, and things to look out for going forward. This same attitude of being a teacher continued through the entire inspection process. He walked us through the entire house and patiently answered all of our many questions. At the end of the walk-through, he went through his entire report, line by line to make sure we understood all of his findings. Jim was very friendly, professional, and a pleasure to work with. He is exactly the kind of person I hope to hire for any service I need. I highly recommend him without reservation.

Jim sets the standard of excellence for home inspections. He was thorough and took all the time needed to "leave no stone unturned". I "shadowed" Jim during the inspection. He very patiently explained every step in his very methodical and efficient inspection and answered all of my questions along the way. It never felt rushed. I have had Jim at Wasatch Home Inspections do three separate home inspections for me. He is extremely thorough. On one occasion he found a buried oil tank that the home seller had tried to hide. He is very good at finding all of the potential issues that a home may have. Every time he did an inspection he arrived on time and spent 6+ hours going over the property. He takes very good notes and pictures that he delivers after the inspection in a report. He is extremely professional and gave me the peace of mind when purchasing a home. Highly recommended.
