We couldn't be happier with the work that was done, everything was done as promised and on time. About a week after the installation was done the system sprang a leak from a pipe junction that had not been installed quite correctly. Luckily, we caught it before it got too far along, although our basement did have about 2 inches of water in it by the time we figured out what was going on. We called the boilermaker, they came right over, fix the leak, and cleaned up all the water in no time. Highly recommended!
Description of Work: We had a new, high-efficiency boiler installed, to take the place of the old boiler that we had in our basement that was dated to about 1915. We also had them install a water tank to take the place of our old water heater. We now have an endless supply of hot water that never runs out, just like they said.

i called and he returned call and gave me bid on phone for gas line-i called and scheduled gas line installation-he was prompt and thorough-he also installed the dishwasher when it was delivered with the stove and removed old dishwasher-at initial visit he installed a new sink faucett also-very fast and thorough -

They were available and they seemed to know what they were doing. They had to come back several times so I was not a 100% happy with them coming back. They didn’t seem to be quite as thorough but they seemed to get the job done. I don’t know if I would have got a better price but I used Angie’s List as a reference and checked them out. They seemed to do a good job when it came to quality. They seemed to be fairly responsive and fairly punctual. I would consider using them again; however, I would try and shop around and see what else is out there, and if I got a good reference from someone else, I would try them instead.
Description of Work: I used the service of The Boiler Maker Radiant Heating and Plumbing a week ago to change a water heater and to clean a boiler. They did a few other things.

Response from The Boiler Maker Radiant Heating and Plumbing
I would first like to thank the clients for the work. I first came to job to offer a free bid for the work. They do live about 45 min. from my place of business. They were having boiler problems. I could not run the boiler to diagnose the problem because the system was low on fluids and had a flow switch to fire the boiler. I could not put any more fluids in because the indirect water heater was leaking. In order to replace the indirect water heater the boiler had to be pulled completely out. I gave them a price of $1,200.00 to replace the water heater, to make some minor repairs and diagnose any other problems after I could fire up the boiler. They said ok and we scheduled the appointment. On that day my helper and I showed up and began the work. Come to find out the water heater was half full of sand because they are in a well system. We were there until after 7:00 pm (a lot longer than was bid for but the price did not change). When we were able to fire the boiler we discovered that the boiler needed a really good cleaning because flames were burning to the back of the boiler. There were also a couple other things that needed to be taken care of. We agreed on a price and I returned the next morning. I got the boiler cleaned and did not need to change one part so the price was adjusted. I talked to the client and he asked if I could reduce the price even more. So I reduced the price $50.00 and told him that would expect him to call me with any other problems (heating or plumbing). He agreed. The next day they called and said one zone of heat was not working. So I went back up and found that a pump was not pumping. I found that a wire inside the electrical was loose and I fixed it. This was not a part that we worked on, but I did not charge for this call.

I cannot praise this company enough! This guy is super honest, affordable and knows what he is doing! My husband usually likes to do our home repair himself but we had a problem with our boiler’s electrical that he couldn’t do so I got online and found fantastic reviews about The Boiler Maker. He was even more amazing than the reviews even said! He fit me in right away since I had renters moving in the next day. Then he didn’t even charge me the driving fee we had agreed on since he ended up going that way anyway. Plus he was very quick with his work and only charged me for the time he was working, not all the time he spent telling me step by step what my husband needed to do for the other repairs we needed but had decided to do ourselves. Can you believe it? He spent about a half of an hour (not paid) teaching us what to do so we didn’t need to hire a plumber! Wow! What a fantastic guy!
Description of Work: He redid all the electrical wiring for our boiler. Our previous renter's dog was housed in the utility room and the dog had chewed it all to bits. The Boiler Maker came in and quickly repaired it. That was in the Fall and it is now Spring and our boiler has been heating our house perfectly all winter.
