I couldn't get on here fast enough to rate this provider! Mike arrived right at the beginning of my appointment window and was extremely knowledgable and conversational during the appointment. He performed a tune up and replaced our refrigerant for the price I paid via Angie's List (which was such a delight!). He diagnosed the issues we were having and took the time to explain what he was doing. I appreciate that he took me seriously enough to explain my system and what he was doing. My favorite part might have been that he took his shoes off each time he entered the house AND kept his voice down when I mentioned my babies were sleeping. Such a pleasant and professional experience. I'd have him come back without hesitation.

Took the day off work to get a few things done on the house. They did not call or show up for the appt.

After our furnace quit on our renters in the middle of winter, we called multiple HVAC companies to compare prices. Not only did High Country HVAC provide the lowest bid, they really impressed our tenants with their professionalism. So far everything has worked as advertised and we're very happy with the timeliness of the work, professionalism, and the price.

It took several tries to finally set up a date and time. The tech took the time to look at several other gas heaters even though that wasn't part of the deal. He explain to us how our furnace and AC worked,what was good and was not so good. The AC was given a good cleaning...all the dog hair and dirt removed and the AC was tested for effectiveness and efficiency. Over all I was very pleased but gave them a B in responsiveness because I asked to order a part for one of the other heaters and he said he would get back to me but hasn't as of yet. I don't know if he had to order the part and it's not in or if it wasn't followed through on. They strike me as a very good company that gets very busy. Guess I will call him.

Everything is working is fine and I was happy with their work.

We came home from the Best in the West Rib fest in Sparks Nevada on 1 Sept 2012. The house was rather warm and the thermostat said to call technician. Yeah right! So we called the folk who installed it around 7 years ago and they came right out. The man did something to the thermostat and it started working. He then checked the Freon level supposedly added a pound or two charged me around $125 and left. I said to my wife: We still have a problem. Low Freon was not what caused the problem. Sure enough a few days later it happened again. We called them back out and the same guy came back played with the thermostat and it worked again. This is when we had a heart to heart. I was not going to be calling Him every week. So we talked about about a new thermostat and it was going to be around $800. He was a nice guy and did not charge me for coming back but I also knew that this was the last visit from Them. So true to form it stopped again and that's when I called High country HVAC and explained the situation to them. We set up a meeting time for Wednesday after my work. I told them that they needed to be gone NLT 6 pm because I had Bible study on Wednesday night. He said He'd be there by 5 pm and to my surprise He showed up at 4 pm. I liked Him already! He came on in took a look at the thermostat and proceeded to explain to me what he saw from the codes etc. on the thermostat. I told Him what I thought and He listened. Who ever heard of such a thing? Listening to the people who live in the house! Again we talked about a new thermostat since mine was out of warranty. Yep! But His thermostats were about $350. But before He left He said let me see your furnace. I showed it to Him and He pulled a few panels and again started explaining things to me. That's when He noticed that the relay that sends a signal to the thermostat was loose. That explained everything. Looked like we had a bad thermostat but the thermostat was only doing it's best with the signal it was receiving. Just in case we were wrong He ordered the new thermostat which would take 10 days or so but with the understanding that if I did not have anymore problems in the mean time that I would not have to buy the thermostat. He called me when the part came in and I said we had not had any problems and He said ok. That was that!

The technician called a head of time to setup an appointment. He showed up on time, and was very professional and courteous. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what he was doing. I will definitely hire them the next time I need work done.

My experience with High Country HVAC was positive from the beginning of initial call to the time when the service technician, Mike, left our home. JC, the manager who initially took my call, handled it with efficiency and professionalism. He addressed each of my concerns directly. Never having used High Country HVAC in the past, I was anxious to compare their service to that of another local company for which we'd used on several occasions in previous years. My experience with High Country HVAC was both pleasant as well as educational. Mike imparted his knowledge regarding heating and cooling units willingly. The information which he shared (in a reassuring manner), was invaluable, pertinent, and extremely useful...in my opinion. I didn't feel at anytime Mike talked over my head nor did he talk down to me. Instead, he spoke to me in terms with which I was able to readily understand and relate, pleasantly pointing-out certain details and patiently explaining other aspects. I also very much appreciated his calm, friendly demeanor throughout his entire service call. During Mike's call in our home, I had an occasion to call the High Country main office inquiring about a related issue. Once again I spoke with the manager, JC. He greeted me respectfully, seemed pleasant--- and once again, my questions were addressed and handled directly and efficiently. Lastly, the positive customer service experience combined with the efficient manner with which my concerns were addressed and ultimately handled prompted me to to sign-up for and commit to High Country HVAC's yearly maintenance and equipment inspection plan. I will most definitely recommend their service to other individuals. Thank you, Angie's List and thank you, High Country HVAC for a positive experience.

I was impressed. They were very professional and reasonable. I also have them coming back out soon to rerout some of the duct work in my home.

It was on Angie's List big deal. My husband was here when they did the job. My husband said that he was very impressed with the technician, really taking time to explain to him that we didn't really have to buy a furnace cap to the furnace and what kind of furnace cap would help us to use the furnace better. The technician was very thorough and took a lot of time to explain things, my husband appreciated that.

Called High Country for and estimate. They made an appointment within 2 days. Estimator surveyed the whole house to determine the right sized HVAC for my house. They use an excellent computer program that identifies many different right sized (not too big or small, or too expensive/cheap) options for any house. They gave me options mostly based on efficiency of the system. Estimate options ranged from $5000 to $12000 based on A/C or no A/C replacement and efficiency of the system. They didn't try to oversell expensive equipment. I went with $9000 A/C and furnace with fairly standard duct work. Estimator informed me about all my rebate and tax credit options. Install was awesome. They showed up on time and as soon as I let them in and showed them around I was able to go to work while they worked. Installers are not allowed to smoke, not even if they walk off your property. They use boot covers and drop cloths to make sure there is no mess. Job took 1 day as promised and very through explanation of the new system. They also made 2 follow up calls to make sure everything was working just right. The guarantee craftsmanship and if you aren't totally satisfied they will make it right. Even if it is so minor you wouldn't necessarily bring it up, they have a separate team come out in 6 months and a year to check on the quality of the install and make sure everything is working great. I was completely satisfied and totally trusted this contractor. They may have been slightly more expensive (by 10% max) of the cheapest contractor I found. In my opinion $900 on a $9000 was well worth the peace of mind. Equipment was Lennox 95% effeciency 2 stage furnace, two stage A/C, humidifier and media Filter.

I appreciated his expert advice and the fact that he didn't try to convince you spend $10,000 on a new furnace and air-conditioning system

They provided a detailed and accurate estimate within a day of calling. When we decided to have the work done, they were able to do the work within a week of calling. The work itself was completed within one day, and was done professionally and consistent with the estimate.

Mr. Bowton, who is one of the technicians, was great to work with. He was very professional and did a great job. They are always very responsive and come quickly when I need them. I would highly recommend them.

I am satisfied with the job that was done. Our furnace is functioning properly again and we have not had to have anymore work done.
