DELUXE CARPET CLEANING

They really do clean the carpets well. They are friendly and courteous. HOWEVER, one of their reps stole several pieces of our jewelry. Since the cops can't PROVE it was either of them, the company feels they have no obligation and so REFUSES to compensate for any of it. These were heirloom rings and very precious to us, and my husband's favorite watch. They claim to be bonded and insured but they won't act on it. They may clean well but we will never use them again.

The tech missed his scheduled appointment 1 and 1/2 hours. I received a call 10 minutes before the appointment saying he would be 30 minutes late. He missed that time by 1 hour. When I tried to call the office no one answered. I have used them in the past and their work is pretty good. But their professionalism and punctuality is well below par. Won't use again.

UPDATE: Nov 2010: They're STILL calling even after they promised my name was "removed" from their lists. Mixed. I'll review the service below; right now I'm most annoyed with the repeated calls from them soliciting additional business. I've told them every time I do not want them to call me anymore, but they persist. So BE AWARE--once they have your phone #, they may never stop calling you. The actual service: Setting up the appt was simple, and there was good communication. On the day of service, they called saying the tech would be about 20-30 late. The equipment looked pretty old, but I figured it might work OK. Part way through the service, the frayed cord shorted and the motor quit on the machine as well as damaged my GFCI outlet. I know quite a bit about electricity, so helped the tech temporarily repair the plug. The motor, however, was fried. He left to go get another machine & the return trip would be at least an hour. I couldn't wait so just left the house unlocked and he finished. I would have rated them higher overall, but this constant & repeated phone solicitation is so annoying I can only rate them a C. Actually cleaning quality is decent I suppose. They will try to upsell you on more services (I'm sure all do) and I don't fault the tech for the equipment issues. But I would hope the company was better overall: decent equipment, doesn't phone solicit, doesn't try the hard up-sell tactics, shows up on time, etc.

They ended up ruining my sofa. They cleaned it with water and didn't test the fabric before cleaning it. This was fabric that one which couldn't be cleaned with water, and they're supposed to know that. Then, they declared bankruptcy so they didn't have to reimburse me for the damage. When cleaning, they were under bankruptcy and weren't liable for anything they were doing. UpRight Carpet cleaning was the original company before Deluxe Carpet cleaning bought them. Deluxe carpet cleaning had no responsibility to me. They dragged me out for months and had to contact an attorney about the matter. I still have not received anything for the damage. Stay away!!

I thought the work they did was very good. However they did not show up on time.
