Our landlord has a home warranty service that covers repairs. They call in and the warranty company assigns a service provider. Bruce Thompson was assigned to come out about our slow running kitchen sink and extremely toxic smell coming from it. Guy shows up w/apprentice type of person. Said the drain was fine, couldn't do anything about the odor -- which they could smell as soon as they walked into our house and that the faucet should be replaced. I asked him if an enzymatic cleaner would get rid of the horrible smell. He said no -- some garbage disposals just smell. With the warranty service none of this was covered but he was willing to replace the garbage disposal for $300 - yep $300. I said no thanks. Then he said he would talk to our landlord about replacing the garbage disposal and I told him that wasn't necessary. After trying again - unsuccessfully - to get us to go for replacing the disposal he then said "oh I have a treatment on the truck that we can try." Oh yeah, I said, how much for that? $70 -- to start it. Another no thanks. About a week later, no change in the smell and now the disposal is leaking. Landlord initiates the service call with the warranty service and says they do not want Bruce Thompson plumbers again - but doesn't matter they are assigned. Different guy comes out -- doesn't seem at all scammy and to actually care about getting the job done and done right. Ends up replacing disposals and the valves -- just like the other reviewer said! LOL! Said the faucet needs to be replaced.The difference in this visit is that NOW the warranty service covered the cost disposal and Bruce Thompson's ridiculous fees! They charged $165 for the disposal alone. Bottom line - would not willingly use these folks.

Their solution to fix the problem were all new fixtures, new garbage disposal, and new faucets. I said I thought our faucets were guarantee and he said he didn't think they were. I called and they were actually guaranteed. The tech that actually gave us the estimate as newer to this company. I ended up fixing the problem myself without any out of pocket cost.
