They are pretty thorough. Jared Senn was the guy who did the inspection. He is great. He is very punctual. You set up an appointment with him, and he will go to the house and inspect it. Once he finishes, he does his report right there. He will walk through everything that he sees. I continue to use him.
Description of Work: I used Pillar To Post for a home inspection. They inspect the electrical appliances, furnace, water heater, roof, attic, foundation, cracks, plumbing leaks, under the sinks, etc.

Inspector was professional but failed to identify two problems that we discovered within 3 weeks of the closing; a leaking hot water tank and a defective oven. Pillar To Post was very unresponsive and insisted the problems did not and could not have existed at the time of the inspection. We found it almost amusing that when Pillar To Post finally did return to look at the oven, they stated that it was functioning because it came on, never mind the fact that we had no idea of the oven temperature or remaining time on the timer due to a nonfunctional display. As a result, the repair charges were over $700 for repair of our oven and over $300 for replacing one of two hot water tanks. Because we did have a homeowners warranty, we only paid the deductibles and cost to bring duct work up to code. Approximately 7 months after this fiasco began we received a check from our realty company reimbursing us for our expenses.
Description of Work: Foor hour visual home inspection prior to closing with verbal review of findings and inspection report.
