The attendant was very nice and seemed to do a great job at the time. But upon reflection I feel like he might have been baiting me with possible repairs that might need to be performed and when I balked at the cost he found they didnt need to be done after all. This was just a feeling and it could just be paranoia on my part having dealt with my share of crooks but there it is. The owner was not the service tech but I cannot remember his name. I have also had issues with the A/C freezing up and had trouble cooling on one occasion after the service. I haven't had the problem recur but the weather is cooler, too. This is one of those times I have to trust my gut. Hopefully, I am wrong about my suspiscions and if so, I apologize. But I remain confused as to how to rate the service.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out well. We were quite pleased with their work. They did a much thorough job. I was happy with the price. We have had other companies come and check our heating unit before.

The tune up showed that the machine had a number of problems, such as lack of coolant, and several parts that needed cleaning and additional work. The total cost was a bit higher than I expected, but the work needed to be done. The technician was very courteous and professional in his work, and completed the job without mess and quickly. Good work overall, just a bit pricey.

It was fine. They said the thermostat needed to be replaced but we didn't do that. It ended up just needing a battery.

This was an Angie's List "buy now" offer. I had a new AC unit installed in 2011 and felt it would be a good idea to have a basic inspection done, since I do not myself know how to service an air conditioner. I don't remember the exact date, but the company was prompt in scheduling the appointment, and arrived at the time scheduled. I was away when they came, but my son was home. I was under the impression that this inspection would include checking "under the hood" of the AC unit itself, which had leaves down inside which I could see from the top. When I got home after the inspection, I noticed all the leaves were still in there, so I contacted them. They told me that wasn't part of the service. As such, I'm not sure what was done as part of the inspection/tune up, but I was disappointed that what I felt was a key element was ignored. The presence of the leaves was actually a big reason why I purchased the service. I assumed removing them was part of an AC inspection and tune up. A few weeks ago (a couple of months after this inspection and tune up), my AC unit was not cooling so I called out a different HVAC provider to take a look. It turns out the AC unit itself was clogged up with leaves and also dog hair, which surprised me. I have a large hairy dog but never imagined his hair would get into the outdoor AC unit in that volume, Anyway, this different HVAC provider removed the AC cover and showed me how to clean the unit out and gave me lots of advice on how to keep the air conditioning system running efficiently. I'm certain Humphrey Heating and Air is a fine company, but my experience was not what I expected. In fairness, let me mention again that when I called them afterward to ask about the leaves, they did tell me it wasn't part of the service. For me, though, an AC system inspection and tune up should include checking and possibly cleaning out the outdoor AC unit, which is a key component. If cleaning it out isn't part of the deal, then the company should indicate that up front, and the homeowner should at least be notified that it is needed. If that had been done, I most likely would not have had to call out and pay a second contractor later this summer to do what I believe should have already been done of (or at least mentioned) the first time around.

Chad contacted me immediately after I purchased the voucher to schedule an appointment. I was impressed with his timely response, and even more so with his professionalism. We soon discovered that there was an error on the advertisement of his service in our area. He is actually located in Utah and not in Texas. He immediately contacted Angie's List to ensure I would get a refund and also informed them about the error. He also followed up with an e-mail to let me know he had contacted them and requested a refund on my behalf. I also contacted Angie's List and within a few days received a refund. I appreciated that he cared enough to immediately contact Angie's List, assist me with the refund and also follow-up with me. Truly exceptional service! I wish he was in the area because if this is any indication of the quality of service provided, it's a winner and one I'd maintain a long term business relationship. Involved getting a crane to lift unit yo roof of 3 story condo. Also got an upgraded unit because they didn't order correctly so I got a higher efficiency unit than I pad for. Had a problem with some rain leaking during the next big storm we had and they came right out and revealed the unit without any extra charge.

They came out on time and was able to get my A/C working excellent again.Serviceman even went out of his way and resolved a minor issue at no additional charge. Will get the tune up every year with these guys, highly recommend these guys.

They called me to set up the appointment which was great. One less call for me to make, so I thought that was a nice touch. I did use the coupon on Angie's List. Chad called about 20 minutes before our appointment to let me know he was on his way. Also very nice. He was very professional and efficient. He changed out our filter and let me know how often it needed to be done to make sure it is running efficiently. We have been using it quite a bit since it has been so hot. We also haven't had it serviced in two years. I didn't want to have them come when something was wrong. So with the coupon it was a great opportunity to get it done. I felt like I got a good deal and good service!

Chad did a fabulous job. He was efficient and did the job quickly. He was much more knowledgable than other A/C people we have had come to our home in the past (they were not from Angie's List!). This was done from one of Angie's 'big deals' and they did not charge me anything extra. It was very straight forward and I would trust them with bigger jobs in the future.

I bought a $39.00 A/C tune up deal from Angie's List. We scheduled quickly. Only problem was that he hadn't brought a ladder so that he could access my roof. So, he had to leave and come back later. Fortunately, my schedule was flexible that day, so it was fine. Overall, I was pleased to have everything checked out so quickly.

They were very courteous and responded to all of our questions and subsequent emails punctually and professionally. We ended up going through a different company who was able to give us a lower bid, but we appreciated Humphrey's assistance and would consider using them in the future.

Chad was very responsive - he fit us in his busy schedule during a very busy HOT week. His communication was great when his first job of the day was more involved than planned. He didn't keep us waiting around without a phone call. A courtesy that was very much appreciated. Chad fixed the problem quickly knew what he was doing and was very professional. My husband I would both call him again for any heating/air issue.

We purchased the inspection and tune up through the Angie's List Big Deal for a special rate of $39. Humphrey's contacted us the very next day to set up an appointment for later that same week. They arrived on time and were very professional. They recommended that we may want to consider adding some coolant and replacing a part, but my wife told them she wanted to talk it over with me first they professionally accepted that answer and did not pressure her, instead they left a note on the receipt explaining their recommendations and how much they would charge for the work to be done. I appreciated their professionalism and honesty.

He was on time looked everything over. Did not seem in a hurry. Everything works well.

Even though it was a little high in price, I was satisfied with the service. Overall, it was good work. I was satisfied. Even though the price was a little high, it was actually service that I needed done. They were very quick and efficient. They just kind of advised me of what I needed done, advised me of what the prices were so it was good. They kept me very informed.

It turned out okay, it cost me extra 400 bucks but I guess I needed to have it done. I'm just hoping that he would tell me the truth about the motor. I also ordered the service for my daughter and he basically did the same thing for her; to go in and change something out and cost $400 for her and all I can do is believe him. But all air conditioning were working fine. It's been working quite well, in fact he said he put the motor that's supposed to be in there, he said that the one someone else put in was not the right motor for it and it seems like it's blowing out even colder air this summer than was last summer, so I'm satisfied. He's very friendly, seem knowledgeable. I know when they went my to my daughter's, there's actually two of them worked on, there was only one that came to work on mine. I think from what I heard they actually shouldered what was happening to her, it was actually in her furnace where the coil was freezing up and they showed her that it was icing up basically and there's something else that they can do to it, but it would probably continue to ice up which apparently it did so she told them to go ahead and change out whatever they needed to fix it. When he had something came up, he called me immediately and told me he was going to be another hour or so, so he was at least following up letting me know he was gonna be late. I think he was on time to my daughter's appointment and he was very apologetic for showing up late.

It turned out pretty well. He came and did the service. It was fine. He was on-time. We thought we were going to get the $40 deal and we ended up spending $300.

The workman cleaned and serviced my air conditioner unit. He was very professional and knowledgeable. While no one can perform miracles on a 35 year old unit, he provided me with good options for prolonging its limited life, as well as costs on a new unit.

Great! Very efficient, trustworthy and professional. They fixed a problem that I didn't even know existed.
