 + -1 morei feel the tech was under qualified and in a hurry to get out of my home. he didn't take the time to check everything on the list as i have had an issue before and had regular inspections done by other companies. any questions i had were answered in the vaguest terms
Description of Work: Air condition system tune up. its not easy to get the panel off and the gentleman was not out there for more than a few minutes and came in and said my coils were fine, there were no leaks you have a sealed system and didn't finish everything listed on the list of items to check. he did check the compression and hosed my unit down. he didn't clean the system like he was asked. he didnt turn down the blower like i asked him to. My coils previously froze and i wanted to have my system set so it wasnt on high all the time. the response from the tech was Im not really familiar with this system it may take me a few minutes to figure it out. I refused this as i dont want anyone messing with my system who isn't sure of what they are doing. I purchased this Big deal specifically because it says they will check for physical leaks he didnt do that at all. he also said that the other items on the list didnt apply. It doesnt matter if they apply or not they should still be done or more time taken and care given than what was given to me.

 + -1 moreThis was a very good experience. Unexpectedly, one of my air conditioners would kick on. I called another highly rated provider and found the week long wait time for service to be unacceptable. Humphrey Heating and Air was able to come out within two days. The technician was highly qualified, very professional and afforded a number of cost saving tips in addition to providing expert repair of the problem. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: repaired an air-conditioning unit which wouldn't kick on. They also tuned up both a/c units

Helped me to know where my furnace filter was and how to change it when it will need replacing. Showed me about the refrigerant for the air conditioner and other parts. I will use them again next year for another tuneup.

The tech came out and took care of my A/C unit and explained that as an older unit I was almost certainly looking at replacement in the next year or two which was a great warning ahead of the fact. Now I can get ready for the problem before it blindsides me.

Description of Work: Came out to perform a tune up on my a/c unit for $29.00 Doug told me that the distributor cap had to be replaces and that some refrigerant had to be added. I agreed to have this extra service done.

 + -1 moreHe noted the furnace's inducer motor was leaking water into the furnace. He tightened the screws and suggested we keep an eye on it but we wouldn't see a problem until next winter when the furnace is used more. Doug was very professional and helpful. We would definitely use them again.

 + -1 moreI had a great experience with Humphrey Plumbing Heating and Air! Shane called me 20 minutes before the scheduled time to inform me that he might be running late because of traffic accidents on the highway. He ended up showing up only a minute past the time scheduled and he got straight to work. When I scheduled the tune up I had asked if they would send someone who didn't mind me asking questions about everything they were doing, and Shane delivered. He didn't mind me hovering around him as he worked, and he answered all my questions related to what he was doing and how the A/C unit and the parts inside worked. He showed me the correct way to clean the A/C unit and informed me that I can loose up to 20% efficiency if the outside of the A/C gets dirty. Shane did a great job and exceeded my expectations for the price. I would definately recommend Humphrey's, as they were efficient, knowledgeable, professional and friendly.

 + -1 moreThey were great. He made the diagnosis the next day after I've purchased the deal, but the work was a month later. I really enjoyed working with this person. He was available at 10 pm on a Sunday to talk to. It is a small business, so the phone number is his personal cell phone. He was able to come in the next day, even though in Utah it was actually for some people a holiday. His price was pretty much what everybody else quoted and it is so far so good.
Description of Work: I have used a Big Deal for Humphrey Heating and Air. He had to come and diagnose the problem with the AC and then he had to pull the whole unit out to get the parts that were not working. He ordered them and put the whole thing back.

 + -1 moreI thought that the $35 would cover the diagnostic, but I ended up paying an extra $65. In my estimation, there was a very minor thing Humphrey Heating and Air had to do and he said that the sensor had some calcium build up and he said that is why the heater was not kicking on. He did do the work, I just didn't like being overcharged.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal from Humphrey Heating and Air for service call and diagnostic of the problem. I won't use him again because of the cost.
