Furnace engineer did a very thorough inspection of the unit including the electronics. Provided excellent feed back on the condition and recommendations for future maintenance. In addition, they installed two smoke/ CO alarms that tie into my existing NEST smart thermostat. Would definitely use again!

I chose this company based on an add on Angie's list touting a complete heater and air-conditioner tune-up for $85.00. That seemed reasonable to me and I paid up-front as required. The technician came early which was nice. He was surprised to learn that he was to check-out the A/C as well since the weather was too cold to do an accurate job. But he said he would do his best and then promised, in writing on the invoice, a free A/C tune-up next Spring. As for the heater, he listed a few problems he found I am unhappy over the fact that Humphrey Heating did not know that the weather would affect the A/C tune-up, but accepted my money for it nevertheless.

Took advantage of the Angie's List offer for a heater pre-season check-up. Technician used a camera and found cracks in the heat exchanger of my 25 year old heater. Told me I could use it but it could be dangerous because of the carbon monoxide possible leakage. The system was 25 years old so this was not a suprise. The tech gave me three options for a replacment ranging from $2,200 to $3,500. I chose the middle one my gas bill is only $ 600 a year so the extra cost of a high efficiency unit was not justified. The next day two other techs came and removed the old unit and installed the new one. The new unit is considerable smaller than the one it replaced so it took some pretty extensive duct work. One to the techs stayed until almost 8PM to get the job finished. So far, about ten days, everything works as advertised.

Doug Balog was a great technician. Performed the tune-up, answered questions, and offered suggestions. He didn't try and upsell me on parts/services Very professional. I will use Humphreys in the future.

There were two men that came. The main person was very professional and did all he was supposed to do and told me what he found in the inspection of the furnace. The second person he brought was a little hands on with things not to do with the inspection. The first gentleman told me they accidentally hit the button on the washing machine and let some water in the machine and I might want to drain it out. When I looked at it the buttons had been pushed on the front of the washing machine. As they came upstairs the same young man started touching Halloween decorations and the other gentleman told him to leave things alone. Overall I was very pleased with their work.

Wanted a full service for my furnace because previous service technicians stated that it needed to be cleaned. The Humphrey technician only looked at it and said it was ok. The technician may have vacuumed it out a bit but nothing else was done. A week later the furnace totally crashed and we ended up buying a new one from another dealer.

The service technician Justin called to inform me that he was running late, but he did show up within the time he told me over the phone. The inspection/tune-up focused primarily on cleaning the unit, checking to make sure it was operating efficiently, and performing a camera survey of the heat exchanger. The latter took the most time but he was quite thorough in his examination of the exchanger, considering the furnace was over 10 years old. Justin was very personable and provided me with some good information regarding criteria to look for in a new furnace when it comes time to replace our current one.

I scheduled the appointment and paid through an Angieslist special. I was contacted by the provider to set an appointment and they were able to schedule a time for the technician to come over that accommodated my work schedule. The technician called before hand to give me notice that he was on his way. Once at the house, the technician checked out the furnace and tested several components. He found that the system was overheating. He said the furnace was 2 to 3 times too big for the home and didn't have sufficient return air to properly operate. He suggested upgrading to a more efficient furnace that is properly sized for the home as well as adding an additional return air opening. He also provided some estimate to install a variety of new furnaces. All and all, I was happy with Humphrey.

I was very pleased with the whole experience as well as the education I received on how to keep this system functioning. I will buy a furnace from Humphrey's when my 15 year old one eventually goes. They will also do all my annual tune ups.

What they thought would take 8 hours to installed only took 6. They did a superior job.

I assume tuned up my air conditioning unit, no way of knowing for sure what was done as I saw no difference after the tune up. I felt like the serviceman was more interested in telling me what a bad choice I had made my purchasing the air conditioning unit that I had purchased then in servicing it. I felt like I paid $50 for a sales call.

My A/C was fine and has worked to this date with no problems (8/9/2015)

He was supposed to come out and clean the air conditioning but he never did. Then he had turned it off and never turned it back on. I thought my air conditioning was broken when he left. He said I needed a new part, but I have a home warranty company to do that. They said the part was affecting anything. It's a $30 part and a couple of hours of labor and Humphrey Heating and Air was going to charge me $800. That's ridiculous.

Went well. Another company was trying to up-sell us so we got Humphrey's to give us a second opinion and they were reasonable and timely and recharged our AC which has had no problems since.

I worked with a gentleman named Matt, I was extremely impressed with the service and the technician was very friendly and helpful. It was incredible all the things he did for just the $25 coupon, he came right on time for the appointment and was very prompt efficient and reasonable.

Awesome to work with and very responsive. They were able to come out quickly to diagnose the problem and within a week I have the new AC unit installed.

Chad and his team did an amazing job for us. We actually had a miscommunication on the furnace unit and after finding out the mistake, Chad installed the correct unit the next day with no questions asked. I would highly recommend Humphrey Heating and Air. The crew was professional and punctual and they did a fantastic job for us.

We scheduled an AC and furnace tune-up with Humphrey Heating and Air, and the day before they came we turned on our AC and found that it wasn't cooling our home. Matt came and, after performing the other aspects of the tune-up, was able to diagnose and fix the problem with our refrigerant leaking. A few weeks later we noticed that the outside compressor was having trouble staying on when it was hottest outside. Matt returned and repaired this problem free of charge. I already recommended Humphrey Heating and Air to my parents, who were able to get their two furnaces tuned up for the price of one.

My air conditioner was not cooling, so I purchased the service call with a diagnostic of the problem. They were fantastic in calling and scheduling the appointment and the service guy that came out seemed nice and professional. He checked things out and told us the compressor had gone out and a new one would be $1600. He asked how old my air conditioner is and then suggested maybe replacing the entire unit. We got a bid to do that for about $4500. Neither of these options was in my budget so we installed a few window coolers and set up some fans to try and get us through until we could save enough for the repair. Two days ago, on July 13th, we were removing a wood fence on our property and a man stopped to see if we were giving it away. As we were talking he mentioned he is an air conditioning service man. I told him about our conpressor going out and he said he would be willing to give us a second opinion/quote. I paid him $75 for a service call to look at it. Within 15 minutes of his arrival I had cool air. He said when we replaced the furnace this winter there was a wire that sends a signal from the thermostat to the air conditioner that was unplugged but not replugged. He was able to diagnose the problem by using a voltage tester that showed no voltage going to the unit. Needless to say, I was happy to have a $75 dollar fix, but started thinking about why Humphrey wasn't able to do the same thing. I have to conclude that either the service man wasn't qualified or they were taking advantage of my lack of knowledge and trying to sell an expensive repair. Either way, I'm pretty disappointed that we have sweltered in the heat for a month saving up for a repair that we didn't even need.

I had to call because my central air stopped working. It has been in the 90 degree weather so my house started heating up fast. I called Humphrey Heating and Air, because I have used them in the past and I feel they are very trustworthy. The worker was very polite, worked fast, and told me everything that he did. He was knowledgeable and had my central air working to cool down my house in no time. I would absolutely refer them to anyone in need of heating or air. I will definitely call them again.

I have a 1940s bungalow which offered numerous challenges for an A/C install. I received three bids from the highest-rated HVAC businesses on Angie's List. Humphrey's was not the cheapest bid, but I was most impressed with their proposed method of install, and they did lower their price to meet the price of my other bidding finalist. The install took an entire day, and the guys stayed late to finish the job. They left the area tidy afterwards. Because the install was done in late March, it wasn't until about six weeks later that the system actually turned itself on to cool the house. Unfortunately the system did not work as it should've, and I was pretty freaked out about that, having just spent $5,000! I called the company on a SUNDAY. Two of the guys who originally had installed the system came to my house within maybe an hour ON THEIR DAY OFF to fix the problem and retest the system. I was very impressed by their commitment to their work (and I hope their bosses are too!) So far the A/C is working as advertised, although not perfectly because of the limitation of the vents in an old house. (My choice to not replace them.) I am very satisfied with the excellent work that Humphrey's did, and would gladly recommend them to anyone with a challenging HVAC project.

The provider showed up on time and proceeded to service the units. Everything went well no upsells or anything.
