They did a real good job. They were punctual and very helpful. They explained to me what was going on and they fixed it right on the spot instead of just giving me an estimate. It was nice to get it all done at once. They were prepared and had the equipment. They were affordable and did a good job.

Great. Jason was pretty booked so we picked a date about 6 weeks out. He and his crew arrived exactly on time and had the job done in two days. He even fixed a chip on my porch (free of charge) that had been bugging me for weeks.
Description of Work: Jason tore up my old cracked cement walkway and installed flagstone. I am very picky about these things, so he gave me the address of the place and I chose the stone myself. Although the stone I picked out was a little more expensive than what we had originally discussed, he only charged me for the amount in the estimate, which I thought was incredibly nice. I had a lot of specific needs/wants, and he made sure they were all met. The walkway looks amazing! And it's concrete-free, just as I asked.

When I first spoke with Jason, he was in the middle of a job. I was impressed that he took the time to answer the phone, instead of letting it go to voicemail. He asked me to text him my information, which I thought was better than asking me to call back and leave a voicemail. I'm a little impatient so when I hadn't heard from him after a couple days, I sent him another text. He called me back immediately and apologized. He was on his way to another appointment, but went out of his way to stop by my house so he could give me a bid. He listened while I explained what I needed and he provided his opinion and suggestions. Overall, I was very impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. Before they started working, my yard was dirt and weeds. Jason was onsite the first day to verify our plans and then make sure his crew understood. I found his crew to be excellent. They removed topsoil, added in new topsoil, graded, installed the new sprinkler system, poured rocks for the RV parking, installed the new fence around the backyard, and then installed the new sod. The transformation was amazing. I should have taken before and after pictures so you could see the difference. I couldn't believe how quickly they were able to complete the project. Jason kept in contact during the project and was there the final day to confirm everything was completed successfully. While showing me the sprinkler system, he noticed that the parking strip, which I did not pay them to re-sod, was missing sod where a tree stump had been removed. Jason stopped and cut a piece of sod to fill in the hole. I couldn't believe it. He then didn't like how the sprinklers were running in a section so he had his crew come back later that day to adjust it. I wouldn't have even noticed there was a problem, but he did. We have received countless compliements from complete strangers about how great our yard looks now. I would strongly recommend calling Jason for any landscaping projects.

I'm so sorry Customer that I was unable to return your calls. This was a very busy year for us, especially from May to August. I had a really hard time returning and responding to all the phone calls I received while at the same time getting all the work done that we needed to do. One day I counted 96 calls on my cell phone from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. My goal is to answer every call and return all missed calls, but I was simply overwhelmed during June and July. Again...my apologies.

It took a couple of weeks before we could line up our schedules. Once we did that, Jacob from Complete Landscapes was very prompt in arriving at the promised time. I had mentioned the above set of problems to Jacob before and he proceeded in marking effected areas with flags and making notes on what needed to be replaced. Jacob fine tuned the working sprinklers as well as adjusted the water direction and distance to make sure there was enough overlap. He took about 30 minutes to go to a hardware store to get parts and replaced the ones which needed to be replaced. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work he did. I will be monitoring the sprinklers for the next couple of weeks to make sure they are working as adjusted and the grass in the yard looks fantastic!
Description of Work: Services Performed:1) Tuning of sprinklers - turning heads, cleaning them, etc2) Replacing broken heads and non-functional sprinklers3) Replacing solenoids to enable controller to trigger sprinklers. Some troubleshooting was done for (3) above but everything was said and done in 2 hours.

I called Leo after seeing numerous positive reviews on AL. I had a water leak coming from underneath my RV pad on the side of the house and draining into my neighbors yard when the sprinklers turned on. Since it wasn't a running water leak I was fine with the fact Leo said he could make it happen the upcoming weekend (I called on a Thursday). Leo called me back as he said he would and we set up a time to meet. He arrived early and began work immediately. He found the problem quickly and even found an alternative way to stop the leak without having to dig up the concrete, thank god. This guy is a total sprinkler whisperer as he knew exactly where the problem would be and even found an alternate shut-off point for the water in my house that was buried underneath the middle of my lawn, no joke. All in all, it took about 1 1/2 hrs as he had to run to Lowe's to get a cap for the sprinkler line. I was very satisfied with his work and it cost $110, which was cheap for the cost it could have been had we had to dig up concrete. Since he did such expeditious work, we toured the rest of my yard and backyard where we went over some possibilities of doing some landscape work. I was thoroughly impressed with his vision and will definitely be calling him back for future landscaping needs!

Based on the ‘A’ rating shown for Complete Landscaping & Sprinkler, I contacted Leo to discuss some sprinkler and curbing work I wanted to have done. It turns out they sub out the sprinkler work and I was given the number for Jacob who does that for them. We set up a date to do the work based on predicted weather issues. On the chosen date, Jacob called me a little after 8 AM and explained he would be a little late and got here a couple of minutes before 9 AM. He replaced three valve boxes, three manifolds, and nine control valves. The work was very professional and I’m very pleased with the work. He was going to replace all my sprinkler heads as well, but discovered that my current heads were not what he thought when he bid the job so he didn’t have the correct replacement heads with him. He also determined that there would be considerably more work involved to upgrade the impact heads and therefore more expense. After discussing all this, I decided to forgo the head replacements this year. He was fine with that. The work he did do was 100% professional and I’m completely satisfied with it. However, I’m not happy about the bill. He billed me for the labor starting at 8 AM, not the 9 AM time he actually arrived on site. I brought up the overbilling to Jason, Leo’s landscaping scheduler, and he agreed that I should only have been billed from 9 AM. He also agreed to adjust my landscaping charges to make up that hour’s worth of labor I was overcharged. Unfortunately, that isn’t going to happen. I originally contacted Jason by phone about doing my curbing work and discussed all that I wanted done. We scheduled a date and he said his crew would be there late afternoon on the scheduled date. At 5 PM on the scheduled date I called Jason to find out why his crew wasn’t here yet. He didn’t know but would check on it and call me back. When he called back he said his crew ran into some problems and was given some more work that hadn’t been planned on and they would be another 2 hours or so getting to my place which meant 7 PM. I told him I didn’t see how they were going to accomplish putting in the curbing, digging out the old grass, laying down a ground sheet, and cover it with decorative gravel before dark. He was unaware that I wanted that much done even though I’m pretty certain I discussed it all with him originally. He also said his crew would not be able to dispose of the removed earth and grass and I would have to do that myself. And then there would be a problem for his crew to also get the gravel without scheduling an additional truck to accompany his crew. At this point, I told him that he should cancel the work for now and he should make an on-site visit to actually see what would be involved in what I wanted done, take appropriate measurements, and give me a written bid to include all the work involved and who would be responsible for actually doing what. He agreed to call me back on the Tuesday after the Memorial Day weekend holiday and set up a date & time to come out and do an estimate. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday came and went – no phone call. I called him Thursday evening about when he would be able to come out. He made no apologies for not calling yet and said he would be able to stop by on Friday evening after completing a sod installation in my area. He never called and he never showed. That was last Friday. It is now Tuesday and he still has not called. Apparently, customer satisfaction is not one of Jason’s strong points. I’m now searching for another landscaping business to get my curbing and gravel installed.
Description of Work: I had an upgrade performed on my sprinkler system control valves, manifolds, and in-ground boxes. Complete Landscaping was also supposed to install curbing, ground cover sheet, and decorative gravel around the house foundation.

I left a message with the phone number provided for the company. Leo returned my call within a day and scheduled a time to meet with me to see the old fence and what it would take to replace it. He created a bid. Leo suggested metal posts even though we were going to install a cedar fence. I wanted to stick with wood posts, but was swayed by a trusted friend to go with the metal posts. this is a decision I wish I had not made. It was also decided that we'd go with a "good neighbor" fence (alternating which side faced the yard each section). I don't think Leo's crew had ever done a good neighbor fence using the metal posts before. They realized that they would need to use twice as many brackets to accomplish this which did require the cost to be a little higher than the original quote. I didn't know that this good neighbor configuration was going to create about a 6" gap front to back at each post. Not happy with this gap, we discussed options. Leo and his crew thought it best to insert a fence slat in each gap. This not only reduced the size of the gap, it effectively hid the metal posts from view, making everything look much better. It really is a nice looking fence! They also used a high grade wood for all the slats making this a quality fence. We also ran into issues with the grade difference along one side of the fence line and with a big drop off along another side. Leo's crew was able to handle these "issues" as they arose and put up two small retaining walls. There was an additional cost because of them building one of the walls. Leo used my own blocks to create the small area needed to keep one of the posts in place at no extra charge. I was very pleased with the extra effort to make everything work for us. Finally, a few weeks after completion, we had a giant wind storm (80 mph gusts) which loosened all the posts along a stretch of fence. Leo had his crew remove all the sections of damaged fence, the posts reset, and our fence put back together within three days of the storm. All at no additional charge! He really does back his work! In summary, I think this company went the extra mile at almost every turn to be certain that we'd be happy with the final result. The cleaned up after themselves. And they stood by their work, willing to fix any problems after the fact, even when mother nature was the cause of the problem. I highly recommend them!
Description of Work: Tore out and replaced old cedar fence with a new one. Also put in small block retaining wall because of grade problem between properties, and a very small block section to help hold a 10 foot post on the edge of a drop off area along the fence line.

Cost --------------- Original bid was 40,800.00. This bid was right on par with one other bid I received and below two others. The high bid I received for the work was 52,000.00. I was able to negotiate a price of 40,000.00. This was the actual price I paid, there were no surprises on cost. This is impressive because we had to do several work order changes during the process. The largest which was to add a fence along the terrace in the back yard to prevent my young children from falling off and getting hurt. The materials alone for this work order were over 500.00. We also had trouble with the stones for the stairway; had to send them back twice, once because we just didnt' like the look of them, and the 2nd time because the stones were not matching. This caused a considerable delay in the work and I am sure added significant costs to the project. Also, a rain gutter was damaged during the work, and was professionally repaired. Some of the cement cracked on the day after pouring and was broken out and replaced at a substantial cost. I had him add a low voltage line for future lighting projects. And on top off all that he added sod on a side of my house that was in sad shape, but, that work was not in the original bid. All of this and not a single dollar over our original agreed upon price. Service --------------------- Leo and his crew were top notch. Leo was easy to work with and had lots of good ideas on how to do the project. The workers worked hard and were always on time and courteous. Leo always answered his cell phone when I called. A big plus. Overall -------------------- I give the highest marks possible to Leo and crew. They do what they say they will do, and then some, and stand behind their work for the price they agreed to. I can't ask for more than that.

My experience with Leo and Complete Landscape and sprinkler was excellent. We wanted our front yard to be cleaned up with removal of some grass, installation of flowerbeds and new plants and revision of irrigation. Leo was very accommodating and worked hard to get our project. He matched a bid from a competitor and based on his Angie's list rating we went with him. We were very happy with the results. Leo was able to start when he said that he would and the project was finished in two days. His workers are amazingly efficient. Leo also had them revise our rain gutter system so that they would drain under the grass, cleaning up the look and getting the water away from the foundation. His price was competitive, his work was excellent and efficiently done and our lawn is already receiving complements from the neighbors. I would unhesitatingly use Leo and Complete Landscape and Sprinkler again.

I called Leo to find out how much it would be to help my husband and I finish our sprinkler system. We needed an estimate for how much it would be to tunnel under the driveway so that we can run the main line to the backyard and how much it would be to connect our sprinkler system to our main water line. The response I got was 'Yeah, that's not something I would be interested in.' Seriously? The last time I checked your company preformed Lawn Irrigation. I was under the impression that the economy was such that most company's would be happy at the prospect of taking my hard earned money. I guess not. I am not going to be contacting you again, I'll tell you that much.

Unfortunately, I am not able to post a few pictures of before and after the work was done and after contacting Angie's list representatives on two different occasions about the problem, I was put on hold both times and then hung up on. Simple mistake by hitting the wrong button or maybe the right button I don't know but for this time I would rate Angie's list as a C
Description of Work: After reading some prior reviews, I contacted them for an estimate. The estimate came in about $400 more than another company I was considering as well. Leo (the owner) and I talked and he not only met the estimate of the other company but came in lower and also included extra work done as the job proceeded. The workers were prompt every morning and worked tirelessly throughout the entire day. The work was completed in 2 and 1/2 days faster than I thought possible with the condition of my yard. They not only cleaned and redid my yard but had to take apart a neighbors fence and use his driveway as my back yard was basically land locked. After finishing my yard, they restored the neighbors yard as well, to the point that if you didn't see the loads of dirt, sod and gravel brought in to my yard after being deposited on the neighbors driveway and small grass parking strip you would have to think they had to air drop all the materials. Another reviewer said something about not using Leo, then you lose and I totally agree. I would more than reccomend Leo and his crew, his prices and above all the end job.

I was thinking of a complete replacement of the system and called Leo at Complete Landscape for an estimate at the end of May. He informed me (not to my surprise) that he was fully booked until mid-August, but he gave me the contact information for an associate he has worked with who would be able to come out sooner. I contacted the associate and made arrangements--he was to come out in two weeks. This was great, and with all the rain last Spring, the yard was ok--so no problem. Unfortunately, he ran into some issues related to his National Guard service, and had to postpone twice. Finally he was set to come out the end of June, but then got a serious knee injury and had to call it off again. I contacted Leo to see what I could do, and he took full responsibility for my not getting service yet. He came and fixed the system on July 2 (Saturday of the July 4 holiday weekend.) He was very fast, knew just what to do to get it right first time, and had me up and going right away. Unfortunately, my secondary water pump was not operating properly, so he could not charge the system and check for leaks and adjust the sprinkler heads. We thought it was an issue with the water level in the canal, so he left and told me to call him when I had sufficient water pressure. I called the city and they got the pump working (it was a worn connection that allowed air to enter the pump). I was then able to get the associate to come and adjust the sprinklers and replace or cap a couple more that were not evident until the system was fully charged with water. Now the system is fully operational. I am very satisfied with Complete Landscaping and their service. Leo is amazing and very customer oriented.
Description of Work: After the severe winter this year and removal of sod to put in a garden, my 20 year old sprinkling system had several issues including a few broken heads and some major leakage. They replaced a valve and unclogged another valve, capped off some sprinklers I no longer needed in the new garden area, and replaced some broken heads.

Overall very satisfied with the service. I had never used Angie's list before but specifically joined it to find this type of service to accommodate my needs. The responses and communication from this company were excellent. I'm one that wants to be informed promptly and was happy with this attribute of the service. The work was performed as requested. When it was finished I was notified to please examine the job and let Leo know if it was satisfactory. I responded that overall I was happy but there were a couple of items I would like re-examined. Leo responded promptly and took care of the items I was concerned with and then some. No fuss, no arguing, no negotiation; just took care of it promptly and I am very satisfied. This was a "clean-up" job, not overly complicated, but important to me nonetheless. I feel I was treated fairly for a job that I have found does not garner a lot of interest from other service companies. Will look to this company in the future if the need arises.
Description of Work: Cleaned up a raw land residential building lot of approximately 1/3 acre. Lot becomes overgrown with weeds, has trees/shrubs that grow and become a nuisance and collects garbage. Specifically weeds were mowed and trimmed, trees/shrubs cut back, sidewalks cleaned up and mow strips grubbed down. Trimmings and waste gathered up and removed.

While we "fought" with a very wet, soggy May the project went very well once Leo got started . We can control many things, but the weather is not one of them. Leo was very good at communicating with me and once they got started, things went very well. I could not be happier with how things went.
Description of Work: Leo and his crew excavated my front yard and park strip and replaced the lawn with a variety of low water perennials. They installed weed fabric, mulch, and dry stream bed boulders throughout the yard. In addition, they replaced an old sprinkler system with a water-efficient drip system. Prior to starting the project I decided to replace my driveway and Leo gave me the name of a very good contractor to do that work as well.
