Our kitchen turned out great. However, I can't recommend Kenny as a general contractor. He didn't estimate our drywall properly, our drywall price more than doubled in cost by the end of the project. He failed inspection on the steel beam that replaced a load-bearing wall (it was missing 1/4" steel brackets called for by the engineer). Then he brought over $2 brackets meant for wood and suggested we use them for our steel beam. We ended up having to buy the proper 1/4" steel brackets and hire our own welder to install them. No discount for what he charged us for installing the beam though, we "did that on [our] own". After the beam fiasco, it was obvious that he disliked working with us and dealing with him was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we had already paid him a large enough deposit for the project, so we felt it was best to see it through. At one point, after a miscommunication over which way a door should swing, he called me, yelling about it, and when I tried to defuse the situation by suggesting we talk in person, he threatened to come "confront my wife" about it the next day. I told him he wouldn't, and he didn't. Needless to say, we're really glad the project is over.

The project started out well and went quickly. The build out was good. The quality and plan was good overall. There were some mis-communications throughout and several times where we were asked to buy different items and pieces in order to complete the project. The day before advising us to go buy this or that and they would install it, etc. They were expected to talk to the audio-visual equipment company to coordinate the project and install. The electrical and cabinet placement, etc. It seems they just wanted to build it out and move on, versus making sure it all came together and completed timely and on budget. There were some changes to the original plan and couple things missing and had to demand an adjustment to the final bill, etc.

They were very punctual and were there when they said. The job looked professional after done. My only complaint was that I didn't get a soap dish for them to install but that was my fault. Just wish they would have asked me if I wanted one.

Kenny and his crew did a beautiful job with design and execution of the new spaces. We wanted contrast/interest in the tile work and got better than what we'd envisioned. We wanted tiled inset storage in the showers and Kenny designed and built them for us. The old bathtub space was oversized and Kenny used the extra space to provide a tiled storage shelf. Their workmanship was excellent and they were professional craftsmen who delivered beautiful new bathrooms. They were on time every day and addressed every concern we had. For a custom remodel, Kenny is creative, reasonably priced, conscientious and easy to work with. Sharp Builders will be our first call for the next phase of our home renovation.
Description of Work: Sharp Builders just completed a total renovation of two of our 44 year old bathrooms including complete demolition of both bathrooms, installation of new custom cabinets, tile floors, a custom tiled shower in the master bath and a custom tiled tub/shower in the guest bath, new lighting and new fixtures.
