+ -1 moreWe are happy with the overall design-- however it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. Poor communication was the biggest frustration-- he said he would be done in a month, it took over a year. He put in a playground area we didn't want-- resulting in a mosquito infested mudpit. We didn't know when his guys would come. I feel all our problems could have been prevented if we had put the design and price quotes on the table and discussed it throughout the project to be sure we were all on the same page. Our fence blew down twice in the first year-- we had to pay $500. more to have it reinforced to withstand the winds in our area-- even though it was "guaranteed". The grass was an uneven choppy patchwork-- we asked him to come back and fix problems several times-- which he did. Now that it is done-- we love it! It is a great gathering place for our family-- we love our pergola patio area with the firepit, the trampoline and grow boxes.
Description of Work: Carey is an amazing designer-- we loved his landscape design for our yard so we hired him. The pergola and cement work were done beautifully. His crew installed a vinyl fence, an inground trampoline, a patio, a firepit, a boat pad and grow boxes. They put stairs coming down from our deck. We had a misunderstanding about the playground area he put it in which we didn't want. He was in the hospital for months with back pain so we hired another landscaper to fill the muddy area with grass. Carey billed us $2000. more than his original worst case scenario estimate-- while we felt he should deduct $1000. to cover what we paid the other landscaper to fix his playground area mistake.
