Monster Pest Control

I tried working with a couple other pest control services before finding Monster Pest Control. I don't know what it is with some businesses, but they weren't very responsive after our first contact and getting their quotes. (I went through the same thing last year with three masons when I had to have my chimney crown replaced.) I gave up on those two and found Monster. Wow, what a difference! Trevor was very responsive, and he matched the lowest bid I got from the other business. I guess he could tell that I like to be involved with what's going on (I'm an engineer and I'm always curious about things) because he explained in detail the cause of the infestation and how he would proceed to eliminate it. At first it looked like it would involve drilling some holes in one of the floors in order to access a space under the floor that has no crawl space (due to it being built before building codes were in place). I had a suggestion on how to apply the termiticide that would reduce the size of the holes to be drilled and Trevor was receptive to it. Ultimately Trevor went the extra mile and found a hidden access panel to the crawl space that the first two guys missed. (Given the way the foundation was built, he figured there had to be an access panel. And sure enough, buried under a layer of plaster he found some screws that just needed to be removed to open it up. So no drilling of the floor was necessary.) In the beginning I told Trevor I wanted the Termidor Perimeter Plus treatment, which consists of a spot treatment where the termites are found and then an outdoor treatment around the full perimeter of the house. (This has virtually a 100% success rate and I'd recommend it to anyone who has an infestation of subterranean termites. It also prevents future infestations.) I asked Trevor if he could do the spot treatment right away but wait a couple months for the winter moisture to dry out before doing the exterior work, just to make sure the Termidor soaks deeply into the ground. Trevor was happy to comply. As part of the perimeter treatment, a trough is dug around the foundation and is filled with Termidor termiticide. I have a patch of ground cover I'd been nursing along for a couple year, getting it to spread along a length of the foundation. I didn't want that all dug up, so I thought of a way of applying the Termidor without digging a trench there. Again Trevor was happy to comply with my wishes. It's now been five months and there's been no further sign of termites. I'm now a big fan of Trevor's. (Trevor owns the business. He has some videos posted on YouTube. He is a real good guy and he does a real good job. I haven't seen a spider in years. He takes a lot of time, and doesn't rush the job. He sprays for spiders, ants, and other pests. We have a giant rock wall 3/4 of the way around the perimeter of the yard that he sprays. The price is good. He is responsive, punctual, and professional. I will use this provider in the future.

My daughter hired this company to treat a pretty severe gopher problem in her yard. She says: "The owner was courteous and professional. He quoted us on a 30 day "guarantee" - my mistake was thinking that meant 30 days of a gopher-free home, but the company's policy is to provide service for 30 days (so be sure to ask!) The owner spent a lot of time treating our yard and talking to my husband. When the gopher holes returned within the week, he came back. The turnaround time was about 2 weeks - a little long. After more gopher holes showed up only a few days after the second visit, I called again. The owner did not return my phone message so I called again two days later. I was told my yard would be treated (though it would be about 2 weeks wait....again), but nobody showed up. Two days after the scheduled visit, the owner came and treated the yard. The owner was very pleasant to work with and he was very thorough in checking for every mound and hole during each visit- but we STILL have more gopher holes (only two days after the last treatment). We gave it about a month - and decided to try something else, since there would be charges for additional service. Our yard is not much better than when we started. My biggest frustration was waiting 2 weeks between calling to report seeing new mounds and actually getting them treated. With the one exception noted above, the owner was great in getting to my calls in a timely manner and answering my questions. The company seems nice to work with and professional - but does not seem to be effective with gophers."

Trevor went above and beyond! I have used other pest control companies in the area (in our previous home) and still saw a lot of unwanted activity even a couple of weeks later. So when we moved early this month, we switched to Monster Pest Control just to try someone different. He arrived promptly and was very personable. After spraying every last nook and cranny inside (especially where I had seen black widows) he sprayed everything and more outside. He literally worked for about 2 hours spraying down the window wells outside, into the eaves, even in my mail box where there was an egg sack. Then he treated the front yard with granules to prevent insects from wandering in. I was just really impressed with how much more he was willing to do than the company we had previously used. We'll keep him coming back regularly for maintenance!

I called for several quotes and saw that Monster was highly recommended here so I called them as well. Their price was on the high end but when I told him (the owner) about other quotes he immediately said he would beat them. He showed up first thing next morning and was very courteous and spent time discussing our concerns and told us how he would treat our yard. He ended up spending about an hour working on our yard and was very detailed. This is about 3 times as long as others have normally spent, so I felt like he was very thorough. His final price was $75 and I gave him a $25 tip for the great service. Well worth it.

The 3rd time is th charm. I have had two other companies in the past and was very disapointed with their work and professionalism. Trevor from Monster Pest control was great from start to finish. He did a very complete job and explained everything. I reccomend him highly.

Everything went very well. He has offered to return for free if there are any more problems with the birds.

This spring we had lot of ants and spiders all over our yard. My wife refused to even go on the grass. We called Monster Pest control after we saw an sign. They gave me a fair quote over the phone. The technician Trevor which later I find out owns the company came out upon arrival verified the price of the treatment and promptly I was very impressed with his appearance and professionalism. He began to spray telling me where the critters were hiding while he did it and I thought that was all he would do, I mean most of these companies all they do is spray, but then he put some kind of granules down as well. He spent about 20 minutes treating my lawn and garage area. I am very satisfied with the service I did not need to call him back over and over like some companies I have dealt with in the past and my wife did not seen any spider or ants all summer. After all is said and done I would have paid $80 for the service but I am glad they are priced right. If I need an exterminator again I know who to call.
