From the moment I called to inquire about pricing and bid, Jim was very polite and quickly schedule a time for him to come by to measure the windows. He was in and out and provided a lot of great information and left a sample film for my husband and I to review. I didn't have to think about it, I had read the reviews and liked the product and I immediately scheduled a time for him to install the film. We scheduled two half days that worked out perfectly for both our schedules. Jim was professional, on time and we kept in communications throughout the process. I would definitely recommend him and would use him again. We chose the darkest tint since we like the sun out and like our privacy. Jim, the owner of the company came out and assessed the windows in our new home and he actually (and very honestly) said that the current tint looked like it was in very good shape except for one window that had bubbled some due to its proximity to the hot metal roof. I was truly grateful for his honest assessment so we avoided unnecessary costs. He scheduled a day to come out and replace the tint on the one window and it turned out beautifully. He was also a wealth of knowledge and provided some valuable information about window tints, the expected lifespan of the tint and UV protection as well as proper care. I really knew nothing about tints before, so it was really helpful. I would definitely hire him again as some of the older windows need the tint replaced.

After having Alpine Custom Window Tinting install tinting film on 13 windows in our home, we are more than pleased with the results. I only wish that we had this work done years ago! When I initially telephoned company owner Jim Hall, he explained a bit about the process and arranged to come to our home the very next day to provide a bid. Jim arrived promptly as scheduled. He measured the windows that we were considering having tinted, and explained the tinting process, along with the benefits and options (without any pressure at all). He showed us the different film options for varying levels of privacy and UV/heat/light/glare reduction. He left us with a few samples to consider, along with a written proposal and printed information about the product and warranty information. It was evident that Jim has been doing this for years, and that he cares a great deal about customer satisfaction. Jim explained that he takes pride in doing each job himself. He answered all questions, and kindly answered even more questions when I called him back to schedule the installation. The job included some very large windows, as well as smaller windows. Jim arrived well-prepared, and had even precisely pre-cut the larger window film pieces. Even with the largest picture windows, the film was seamlessly installed. Jim took the time to have us take a careful look at the first window he worked on, just to make sure that we were happy with the tinting shade and privacy that it afforded. True to his word, Jim meticulously installed the window tinting film with precision and care. He worked quickly and in a professional manner. He was respectful of our home, made sure that everything was in order, and that we were completely satisfied before he left. Our windows are now beautifully tinted, all while maintaining our view. I didn?t realize that this could be accomplished at the same time that we were maximizing privacy and minimizing incoming heat and UV rays! It was a pleasure doing business with Jim / Alpine Custom Window Tinting. We are so pleased that we had Jim measure all of the remaining windows in our home, and he guaranteed the written bid on tinting those windows for a year. We will definitely be calling Jim back for additional work.

We are very satisfied with the work, our main floor bedroom and 2nd floor used to be intolerably hot in the summer. After we had our windows tinted, our house is much cooler. Alpine came out promptly, within a few days of my initial call. He was able to install the tinting on the same day as the initial quote and it took no longer than an hour. He was respectful of my home and cleaned everything up as he went. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Jim works only by himself , so that he takes care of everything himself. He came on the dot, showed me what the film would look like on the window, I approved of the scope of the work and the price and he got to work right away. I also wanted him to put film on a wrought iron security door, but he said it might crack the glass because of the metal on the door and he would not install it. I thought that was admirable, as he could have made more money and I would not have been the wiser. He worked quickly and neatly and even cleaned the top of one of the blinds that I could not reach. He explained exactly what he was doing, told me how to care for the film and explained the warranty. I already see and feel the difference in the rooms.

JIM SHOWED UP ON TIME AND INSTALLED THE TINT ON MY WINDOWS. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EASY TO DEAL WITH. I'LL GIVE HIM A CALL AGAIN WHEN I DECIDE TO TINT MORE WINDOWS.

He showed up a little early so I could make it to work for a meeting in plenty of time which was considerate. He was nice enough to give me three separate bids based on the different windows in my house that I may want to tint. I decided to do the minimal number of windows for the time being, and he was happy to do those for now, and let me know my bid for the other windows would be good through the end of the year. He was efficient, had very good product knowleged, and the windows look great! If I decide to tint more windows, I will definitely be calling him. I also thought his price was extremely reasonable.

My condo had a window that let too much sunlight into the living area. Since the condo has vaulted ceilings and the window is high up on the wall closed to the ceiling ,and since the window has an odd shape, blinds or curtains were not a solution, so i decided to get it tinted. I found Alpine on Angle's List and contacted the owner (Jim) by email. I asked Jim if he undertook small jobs like mine and also, since I'm in Salt Lake and his business in Alpine, if he worked in Salt Lake. I received a reply promptly with answers to both my questions affirmatively. I wrote to him again describing the job, and again he responded quickly asking the dimensions of the window so he could quote a price. I couldn't measure the window because of its location, so i sent him an estimate and he sent me a price quote of $ 95. i thought it was a good price and asked him to do it. He called me to arranged a time. The appointment was set at 10 AM, but Jim himself, not an employee, was at my doorstep at 9:50 AM. I was very pleased because my experience is that repairmen, handymen, home improvement professionals are perennially late. Jim is friendly, cheerful, and personable, and presentable. I immediately felt comfortable with him. He showed me sample films and explained to me their pros and cons. After I picked a film, he got to work. Since the window is high up on the wall, it hadn't been cleaned since I bought the condo fourteen years before. Jim had to spend a lot of time cleaning the window. After the job was done, instead of just telling me to call him if there were any problems, he filled out and signed a formal warranty form. I got life-time warranty on the film and, to my surprise, five-year warranty on the window itself, meaning if the window cracked or damaged within five years, he 'd replace not only the film but the window itself free of charge! Jim's ladder scratched the paint on the window sill slightly; he even touched it up to the original condition. It's been couple of days since the tinting was done, and i'm very happy with the result. First the film is invisible; nobody could tell that it's on the window. Second, it has cut down the light by just the right amount; the living area is not dark but doesn't feel like a parking lot, either. All in all, I'm extremely satisfied with Jim and if I ever again need to get a tinting job done, it'll be Jim whom I call.

He indicated he had been performing retrofit window tinting for over a decade and demonstrated a great deal of expertise during the installation. I observed while he cleaned the window and cut and fit the tinting on the windows. Having applied store bought window tinting to homes at a previous location, I knew that he was making a very difficult process look very simple. The estimate included tinting windows in two rooms of our home. But after seeing the results, we decided to have Jim apply window tinting to windows in two additional rooms. Jim was very flexible with our desires and accommodated our request quickly and easily. We were very happy with the quality of the work as well as the appearance and performance of the tinting. Our windows are now warranted for 5 years based on the application of the film and we couldn't be more happy. The were courteous and prompt in getting back to us on our request. They gave us a fair quote over the phone, called before they came, and again the morning before. They did a fantastic job.

Alpine's customer service was excellent. They were easy to reach, professional on the phone, and came out to give me an estimate based on the type of tint I wanted and the number of windows. They arrived on time and were easy to communicate with. They gave me many options for UV protection that would not actually darken my windows. Then, as a courtesy, they tinted two of my windows to give me examples of what I could expect. I was able to quickly make a choice, and then called them back to set up the appointment for the tinting. Again, the day they showed up to do the project, they were on time and courteous. They performed the job quickly and did not damage any furniture or windows. Their guarantee is amazing- if a window breaks due to tinting they will replace the window! Also, if you every have any bubbles or cosmetic defects, they will replace the tint. It doesn't get any better than that!
