Parker Lawn Care pulled the weeds and fertilized the yard. The yard just keeps looking great! Last year was when we first started using Parker Lawn Care. We have been very happy with their work. It seems they will go the extra mile that other services don't. For example, they made sure that they got rid of the Dallas Grass weeds we've had for years. We had been using TruGreen's service for several years prior to switching to Parker Lawn Care. TruGreen could never get rid of the Dallas Grass, they would treat it with some chemical only when it was over 90 degrees, and it just never worked. Parker Lawn Care dug out the Dallas Grass and the problem was solved, and solved quickly.
Description of Work: Fertilized Yard and weed extraction.

Terrible. The beds were cleaned very well, lots and lots of mulch was installed, grass cut nice BUT IN THE END he was upset that we didn't compliment his service and that we asked that two shrubs be moved correctly. When the job first began he completely agreed that they were placed wrong and said the worker probably didn't understand his instructions. I think this contributed to his frustration. He couldn't communicate well since they spoke Spanish. My husband spoke Spanish so we offerend to help but he said no he could handle it (almost as if it was an insult to help him). Anyway, he left two workers there and came back once or twice to get directions pass them on and leave. The workers didn't seem happy with him to the point they would state that we were paying him too much for this work. At the end of the job when it was time to pay, my husband said okay there are 4 things that need to be completed... Roland (owner) said two of the items were on another bid and the bushed are only slightly off but he'll come back and complete the job. We didn't hear back from him at all. The following week, he came and cut the grass but the final repairs weren't done and no work on additional bids that were agreed upon. I then sent an e-mail saying "haven't heard from you, cancel service and our name and address". He called later that day to say if we were going to pay for the grass cut. I was surprised since the bushes weren't corrected as promised and my comment back was a little lame. I told him "if you want me to, I will" He then raised his voice and proceeded to tell me that he has never done work for someone that didn't have something nice to say about it and that we were so nit-picky about everything. If I would have looked at his website I was see how much of a deal I got from him on the cost. I was about to tell him, I didn't make an agreement with the website but I did make it personally and verbally with you. When he started name calling and raising his voice I hung up. I later spoke with my husband and he said he would deliver the final check and be done with this company. I shouldn't have to explain that we were quite because maybe that's the way we were at the time. I didn't do cartwheels about this service. It was good but after comments with the laborers and him leaving for us to talk with them and then he didn't want to complete the two hedges. It was just okay. SO FINAL THOUGHT FOR THIS CONTRACTOR - I'd pass this one up. He raised the price twice. One on a written bid and another after we asked to complete the work he started. He raised his voice to argue and then name calling??? Not professional at all. I don't think the crew he has is an everyday part of his team. Hopefully this experience is just with me. He does my neighbors home and the upkeep with the existing landscape is great! But new projects, I think he wants full reign and unlimited praise and $ in the end, no matter what the owner's thoughts are.
