Be aware of this company. They were supposed to tunnel to make a repair not go through the tile. When confronted with the error, their employee lied and claimed he was told by the owner and myself to drill through the tile rather than tunnel. The experience got worse from there. I used them on my personal house and have referred them to clients in the past but the way they treated my client was completely unacceptable. Make sure you get every detail in writing if you do decide to use them.

We hired Hole in One Plumbing to perform testing of the under-slab sewer and fresh water lines before performing foundation work on our home. They were recommended by Structured Foundation. They were prompt, respectful of our home (no dirty shoes worn inside), and thorough. An (unknown) second sewer system was discovered during test, and he tested both. The price ($150) seemed reasonable.

Hole in One came recommended by my co-worker as being good and affordable for the type of work I needed. I was not in a hurry and needed and appointment that worked with my schedule. Called and scheduled an appointment one week prior. They gave me a couple choices for availability, one of which fit my schedule. They called to confirm the day prior however I missed the call but they did leave a detailed voice mail which was nice. Jason arrived promptly at 0815 (my scheduled appointment window was 0800-0900 AM) He explained what he was going to do and asked that I not flush any toilets or run any water until his test was complete. Total time was about 30-40 to run a pressure test on my house to check for leaks before I have some foundation repairs done. Overall excellent value and service! Wouldn't hesitate to call on them again.

They were great. We had foundation work done earlier in the month, and the foundation company hired Hole In One Plumbing to check independently that all the plumbing was working as it should after the work. Michael arrived on time and did a thorough job. He communicated well with me about what he was going to do and how he was going about it. It took a while for him to find where he could insert his camera to inspect the piping, which was not his fault; it turned out that the aperture was buried under lots of dirt, but he persisted until he found the spot. I was completely satisfied with his work and the results. Indeed, I'll probably hire him for my next plumbing needs instead of the plumbing company I've used in the past.

We asked for them to snake our lines, but they only tried to unclog the toilet. Not only did it not work, but they scratched the inside of the toilet. I called them back, but they said their was nothing they could do. What a waste of $85. NO FOLLOW-UP. NO WARRANTY. NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR WORK.

I estimated that it cost me around $1000 per freaking leak. I liked that they stopped the leaks. There wasn't a lot of interaction with them and they didn't really explain a whole lot. They had found four leaks, and I pointed out that they had to retest and then they found a fifth leak. There were just here doing their thing. The work got done. Their price was about the same as everyone else. It was average. The quality of work is hard to say because I can't see the product, but I guess it was good. They were here when they said they would be. There was some kind of rain delay, but that was not their fault. Their punctuality was good.

Bad Customer Service. Did a half baked repair, and asking more money to even to re-visit what they have done. That too trying to schedule after one week. How could one wait that long if it's damaging the walls and flooding the rooms ? Very irresponsible customer care.

I really like what they did. I thought they did great. I wish I'd gone with them the first time. They were fast and efficient, faster than they said it would be. They were able to pinpoint my leaks, found them and fixed them. They dug through y foundation on the inside so they broke into the foundation. They cleaned it up and everything looks job. They did a very good job and I was very pleased. I don't see any more cracks after they worked.

Foundation repair company contacted Hole In One to come out to fix a break that occurred during a foundation repair. Dustin arrived promptly and was very professional. Dustin went beyond the call and explained the setup of the water line (shut offs etc) and answered some additional questions I had about future work. While I was not the person who selected Hole In One, I will be selecting them in the future for any plumbing needs. Dustin is a terrific representative of the company!

I schedule an appointment with them 3 weeks in advance. Then I took a day off of work to be home during the time they were supposed to come. Then the afternoon before the appointment they canceled my appointment. They said they tried to call my phone 4 days in advance, but said that we did not respond in time so they just automatically canceled the appointment. I verified that my answering machine is working perfectly and have no record of their call. They could not tell me the time that they supposedly called. They were not willing to work anything out and just said that is their company policy. They just wanted me to take another day off of work to fit into their schedule. I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants a dependable plumber.

my initial experience after being introduced to them through structured foundation was unpleasant, but they were quick to resolve it, so i had them come out to do the necessary repairs after a few months. the repair didn't go as well as i expected (ended up needing a new toilet, but it wasnt their fault... though they should have seen that coming a bit before the last minute of the repair) but they were patient, helpful, flexible, knowledgable, and reasonably priced. Overall, I trust these guys. That means something (especially with a thing like plumbing, where prices can really add up and problems come up quite a bit, especially in an old house like mine)

I was introduced to this company by Structured Foundation Repair (which I have also reviewed). When the foundation was lifted (13 concrete pressed pilings), the foundation company noticed a broken sewer line. I called several plumbing companies that I used in the past, but no one could come out. I then called the Structured Foundation office and they gave me 3 suggestions. Hole in One told me they could not come out that day, but could come out the next day. After about 30 minutes they called me back and said someone could be over in about an hour. This was at 4:00 pm. I was relieved because the plumbing and broken pipe was uncovered and it would save me digging if they could come now. They fixed that sewer pipe but then scheduled a static plumbing test which was needed due to the foundation lift. During that test, they discovered 3 additional leaks. We scheduled a time to come out and fix them. If you have not had to go through this type of repair, be happy. It is a mess. They had to jackhammer through my foundation in the middle of the house (that's where the leaks were). They took out a lot of dirt and had my house "sealed off" in order to store the dirt to refill. During the process, Chad did a very thorough job of looking for additional leaks and found 4 more in the vicinity of the other leaks. It required additional digging but they could accomplish it from the existing foundation hole. All in all, they repaired 7 leaks and thoroughly tested the entire system. I feel confident they found everything. They were very transparent in all their work, explaining it to me and my wife and making sure we understood what they were doing and why. Although, the cost was higher than the original estimate, I felt it was fair due to the additional leaks. I think they were very reasonable in the additional charges. The clean up process went very well and I am very satisfied. All in all, I was very impressed by the 2 different plumbers (one for the original call and then Chad for the subsequent call) that I worked with in this process. They were honest, cleaned up very well after all of their work and were on top of the other workers that were in our house. I would highly recommend them and will use them in the future for all of my plumbing work. If you have under slab leaks. Give these guys a call.

They updated the plumbing because it was very old. A new plumber came to find that there was a hole in my sewer line and there was duct tape wrapped around it. There was a small puncture in a pipe that had evidence of glue on it. The drain pipe installed incorrectly so the drainage is going up instead of out. The new plumber I hired due to the tub backing up again found these problems. He had to redo the plumbing and the drainage.

Every time they showed up they were late and the repairs/tests ran longer than they estimated. When they showed up to do the repair work they had 'new' workers and the guy in charge made it apparent that they were going to run behind because he had people just standing around. I had to also go back and have them lower the amount of concrete they poured back into the foundation to be below the tile line. I specifically asked them before, and then again after the work was complete, to break out labor from parts for insurance purposes. They kept telling me that they had been doing insurance work for 15 years and that my policy did not pay for labor, even though I offered to show them copy and I had my insurance agent call them. My opinion is the ownership is unwilling or just too lazy to do any further work after they get their check. The owner will not return any of my calls and keeps having his secretary handle his difficult customer(s).

SUMMARY: I will tell the details below, but, bottomline, my experience with Hole in One, especially on the day my slab leak was being repaired, was an awful experience. I was not treated respectfully, nor was my property. And, almost worse than that, key communication was missing throughout the experience that day. When you are having a hole dug in the middle of your house, you want to know what is going on. I had to seek out updates, and I was not always able to get updates. 6/12/12 INITIAL LEAK TEST - Jeff came out to determine if I had a leak or not. I had a great experience with him. He was the reason I decided to continue work with the company, largely because he actually communicated with me. 6/26/12 ISOLATION TESTING - Chad came out to do the isolation testing. He is not as communicative as Jeff. Chad received two personal phone calls during the isolation testing. One of these conversations lasted 15 minutes and involved a discussion that I would rather not have heard regarding his relationship with his girlfriend/wife. Chad found the leak, and at least I was not charged for the time he was on these calls. I went ahead and scheduled the slab leak repair with them; however, later I began to wonder if I should have another company come out and do another Isolation Test due to his being distracted while running the test. I chose not to do that. 7/9/12 SLAB LEAK REPAIR - 3 men came the morning of my slab leak repair. The one man introduced himself as Noel. He never introduced the other two men. Noel also did not communicate what would happen next; the only thing he discussed with me was to find out where he would be able to dump 2 wheelbarrow fulls of dirt in my yard. Hmmm. I understand that when you loosen dirt, you will not be able to get it all back in its original location, but 2 wheelbarrow fulls of dirt made me nervous about the stability of the slab after they finished. When I asked him about this, he responded: "That's a good question." That's it...no "let me get an answer for you on that"...nothing. While they were there I called the Foundation man I had come in April to determine if this would cause foundation issue over the long term, and he was able to let me know I would be OK. FIRST: When Noel first came in, I let him know that I would like to see the leak when it was actually found and that I would like to know what was going on throughout the day. He nodded his head. The guys taped plastic up and put stuff down to protect the carpet and got to work. NOEL DISAPPEARS: The next thing I knew, Noel said that he needed to go and get some supplies and would be back. He and one of the other men left. Then, the man left behind turned on his personal radio full blast on a Spanish speaking station. I preferred hearing the jackhammer over that station. About 30 min later, I saw the van back. A little after that, I had a question, so I went to the room where the digging was going on to ask a question. Only two men were in the room; I also noticed that my window was cracked open. I asked for Noel, and, in very broken English, the men let me know that Noel was gone. I tried to ask the two men my question, but they could not speak English. When I left the room after asking my question, the men immediately spoke to each other in Spanish and began laughing. NOEL WAS GONE FOR A TOTAL OF 1 - 1.5 HOURS. Noel was still gone when the men finally dug down to the pipe. I went in to see if they were digging in mud (i.e. there was an obvious leak) or not. I asked about what they had found. But, again, because Noel was not there to speak to me in English, the conversation was fruitless. And, again when I left the room, the men immediately spoke in Spanish and then began laughing. When you are having a huge hole dug in the middle of your house, you want to know what is going on. At this point I had only gone in twice in 2.5 hours. I was NOT in their way. Perhaps they were not discussing and laughing at/about me, but I find it interesting that these laughing exchanges only ever happened when I left the room. NOEL FINALLY SHOWS UP / CHAD SHOWS UP: At this point, the pipe was exposed. I asked to see the leak (as I had told Noel from the beginning that I wanted to see this). I was finally able to see this. When I spoke with Noel, the only other English speaker in the house at this time, he spoke to me very shortly and scornfully, as if he just couldn't be bothered. He also said in a condescending way "Do you really want to leave your A/C running?" I let him know I was doing this for their sakes, not mine--he should have suggested that when they first walked in! I turned it off. Soon after this, Chad finally showed up. At this point I was able to get a little more information about what was going on. I found out there was more of a break in the line than Chad had detected before, and the cost went up by $1000. He found this break with the camera, which I thought he used when he did the initial isolation testing. I'm not sure why it wasn't detected before, but, I requested to have the full 9 ft of pipe fixed. This required digging in a second bedroom and more plastic. At one point I went back calling for Chad, because I could hear digging going on. I really wanted to see the fixed pipe. The individual digging just ignored me, and Chad never responded. I found much later that he was in my back bathroom at the time...he later told me "I have a bad ear...I think you may have been calling me." Hmmm, and I think you just didn't want to respond. I never did get to see the fixed pipe. What concerns me is that Chad was doing a leak retest while they were putting dirt back into the hole. I didn't realize that was what Chad was doing until after the fact when he admitted he had heard me calling for him. I would think you would do that test before you decide to fill the hole up. The point is to make sure you have installed the new piece in a solid way. WALKTHROUGH: Noel was being a bit more cordial at this point and asked me to look at where they had dumped the wheelbarrow fulls of dirt in my yard. It appeared fine. Chad had me do a walkthrough in the house to see if everything was clean/ok. There were handprints on the walls where one of the men had put his hand each time he was removing plastic. I told Chad I thought I could clean that up OK. The light was off in the last bedroom, so I only saw handprints. I later found more. TWO DAYS LATER: I noticed that in the second bedroom where digging had been done to get the longest part of the broken pipe that mud had been splattered all over the walls and ceiling (anything not covered by the plastic). Also, outside in my grass I noticed that wet cement had been dumped out in my yard as well as a pile of pebbles (from the digging under my slab). Both were several feet out in my yard, so it's not like they "accidentally" fell in my yard. Someone had to walk out to do this. My main concern was for the mowers who came after this was dumped. Mowing over pebbles is extremely dangerous. Who would dump that knowingly in a yard???? So, I called the main office and explained everything to Tara. She at least listened and let me tell the entire story of all the key issues I had encountered. I also told her about the mud all over the walls in the one bedroom. I did not ask for compensation...I told her the point of my call was to give the company feedback. She told me she would talk with the owner. I asked her to follow-up with me so I would know the outcome. 2 hours later I get a call from Chad. I told him the majority of the story, and he let me know that "someone was about to catch it". He also seemed to be aware of the mud splatter, although he had never pointed it out the day of. Tara did call and leave me a message a few days later. I called her back and left a message but have never heard back. BOTTOMLINE: 1) Communication was horrible from the beginning. I told Tara that Noel, the English speaker, should have a set list of things to go over with a customer...a) turn your a/c off, b) we will tape up the walls, c) let's talk about the dirt and what will be left over and how this does not harm your foundation down the line, d) I will come and get you at key stages to show you what is going on (clearly NOT part of their process). Also, an English speaking customer should never be in a situation where he/she has only non-English speakers at the house for over an hour. 2) Customers and their property should be treated with respect. 3) Don't expect your customers to just automatically trust you if you are not willing to communicate with them. I told Chad that they should expect even their female customers to want to see the leak AND the fix to the pipe with some communication in between. It takes seconds, makes you look professional, and, more importantly, makes your customer feel comfortable about what is going on. 4) When someone gives you feedback for your company, let the person know how you have taken action. Just telling someone you are going to yell at employees does nothing. It certainly doesn't inspire change or improvement of the people being yelled at. I have no idea if my leak is truly fixed. More than likely I will have another company come out soon to do a leak test again just to be sure there is no problem remaining.
Description of Work: 1) Supply Line and Sewer Line leak test (determined I had a leak) - $150 - 6/12/12. 2) Sewer Line leak location test - $180 - 6/26/12. 3) Sewer Line leak repair - originally estimated at $1250, but became $2200 the day of - 7/9/12.
