Mr Mason was a no-show. After waiting for 2 hours, my wife gave up and went to work. She had called Mr Mason several times and had no answer. She also sent email. When I spoke to her at 11:30am, she had still had no response. I asked her to give me his number so I could call in case he was screening her calls. He answered immediately. I explained who I was and he said he couldn't do the job and had sent my wife an email on Saturday. He was not at all apologetic and I got the distinct impression he would not have taken the call had he known what the subject was. He also said he would forward the email to "prove" he had cancelled the job. When I pressed him for further details and asked when he might be able to perform the work, he grew agitated and started saying incoherent statements about problems with "the company" and "the state of Texas" and then abruptly hung up. I called him back, he answered immediately, and I asked him why he had hung up. His response was abusive - he said "don't f**k with me, you motherf***er. I will f**k you up." And hung up a second time. I did not bother to call him a further time, and was tempted to call the police concerning what amounted to a terroristic threat. Needless to say, I am glad my wife was not in our house alone with this gentleman. Do not, under any circumstances, do business with him. He is not reliable and appears to have some serious issues with anger management,. This zooms into first place as absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Words cannot really do it justice. Update: Mr Mason claimed he had sent an email canceling the job on Saturday to my wife's email address. He did not. What he did do was send an email to a misspelt address (he had spelled yahoo.com as yayoo.com). This did not--obviously--come through (and almost certainly would have resulted in a bounceback message to Mr Mason's account). Mr Mason forwarded the email with header and timestamp as "evidence" that he had canceled. The email read as follows: "This is a JAM report, All present schedule is concealed! The apparent situation at hand is in need for more then one attention, dully appropriated, Sorry for this "Reality" change, OVER! Dewey Mason..." While this borders on gibberish, it certainly seems to suggest in a roundabout way that the work would not be done. This is bad enough, a cancellation 36 hours before he was due to start agreed upon work with no suggestion of a time to reschedule or apology for inconvenience. Even if Mr. Mason managed to contact us, we would have been annoyed. The lack of concern for making sure we knew he no longer wanted our business, coupled with his extreme reaction to our calling to find out where he was and the threatening tone and words he employed on the phone make it all the more clear that he should not be trusted.
Description of Work: Mr Mason had an appointment to tear out some cedar planks in our closets and install drywall. We had purchased a new house and are moving in this week and he arranged to meet my wife out at the house at 8:00am this morning for a job that he promised would take less than a day. She had set this up a week ago and was pleased with his responsiveness over email and the telephone and with the price he had quoted. We delayed moving some stuff into the house and prepared the closets for the work.

Response from Dr. Drywall Co.
When answering his call the member began with an angry "What happened? My wife waited two hours and no one showed up!” I replied, I had sent an email telling them I was caught up with an issue and had to change my schedule. I expected a reply on the email so that we could reschedule it. He stated that I was a liar and asked how I could live with that? I hung up thinking "I lost that one." He called right back saying "Now you hang up on me!" I’ve done over 4000 jobs since 1986 and have an A rating with the BBB and yes, I lost it in basically telling him in my own way to "Don't push it". It was my mistake with entering his email address. I'm not a Pastor but a Drywaller who won’t deal with someone yelling at me more than one time in ten minutes.
