We had SMELSCER PLUMBING install two 50 gallon water heaters in 2018, one upstairs & one downstairs @ $750 each, with a 6 YEAR WARRANTY. Within 1 YEAR the water coming from the upstairs one smelled awful - like rotten eggs. They drained it and charged us another $200. NOW the UPSTAIRS water heater HAD COST US $950. Within 3 YEARS (of a 6 YEAR WARRANTY), the upstairs water heater QUIT WORKING. They said it had to be REPLACED (UNDER WARRANTY) & said the LABOR TO INSTALL IT would be $600, meaning the upstairs water heater NOW COST $1550. Also, even though they were installing a NEW WATER HEATER, they would only honor the 3 YEAR WARRANTY left on the FAULTY WATER HEATER. WHAT SHOULD THEY HAVE DONE? They should have gone back to the company and NEGOCIATED (on behalf of their client - US) a NEW WATER HEATER with a 6 YEAR WARRANTY, and NEGOCIATED with the company to PAY THE $600 INSTALLATION FEE. They DO NOT BACK UP THEIR CLIENTS!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

I had a very low water flow in the kitchen. Previous plumber estimates were over $1000.00 to replace water lines under house. They assumed the lines were restricted due to build up and age. Smelscer plumber (Greg) got under the sink and cleaned out some particles in the lines and the water was back to full flow. One faucet was loose also, and he told me to call the manufacturer and they sent a free replacement part. I was saved thousands of dollars, and Greg was very polite and professional.

It went well. They are pretty prompt. I would highly recommend.

I had a slab leak diagnosed after having the front corner of my house leveled. I decided to go with Smelscers because of their great reviews on Angie’s List, they were a family owned business that had been around for many years, and not having my slab jack hammered up was very appealing. After getting in touch with Curtis who I was told is the only plumber who does the perma-liner plumbing, told me my repair would be a 2 day job; the 1st day to locate the leak or leaks, and the 2nd day to make the repair. This turned into a 4 day job that spanned a period of 24 days from start to finish. Quotes and commitments were not honored, my job kept getting put behind other customer repairs, and I ultimately had to call the company to get the final leak test done; something that wasn’t going to be performed until I insisted. I also had an Angie’s List coupon that required a call to the owner to get honored as well. Integrity was something I was really expecting with this company with their long history of being in business along with their many positive reviews. Unfortunately my experience did not reflect that. I truly hope the quality of their perma-liner repair proves to be much better than the quality of the customer service I received. If I ever decided to trust this company again, I’m afraid everything would have to be in writing; no more verbal agreements. My total cost with 5% off coupon was $2375 for 5 hours of plumbing service

Excellent, very good service, reasonable price and good quality work

Line was really clogged. First plumber was able to open a small hole but could not fully undo the build up. Second plumber came later that day and ran the jet through the roof vent. It opened and unclogged build up that had been accumulating for 20 years or more. Recommended product to use monthly to keep lines open. Excellent service and professionalism!

I called and was told they were booked but they try to come out to take a look. after waiting all day, I called simply to make sure I could get on their schedule for the next day...it had rained all day and I understood that things were moving slow...I called approx 3pm and was kept on hold for 5-7 minutes and when dispatcher came back on line, i was told someone was on the way to evaluate what need to be done,,,they were here within 30 minutes and found the leak within 5 minutes of being here...luckily I did not have a leak involving foundation. We set up time for the next day and work was completed in the estimated time despite a couple of complications. very professional, courteous and informative as a note i must say they were my 3rd plumbers called...other two recommended I find someone to find the leak????? SMH Smelscer Plumbing came prepared to work..THANK YOU SMELSCER PLUMBING...one more thing they did not know I was referred by Angie's List

Overall excellent work. The replacement water heater they offered had horrible reviews so I asked to change it to the original brand.

The faucets were installed satisfactorily and promptly. The tub drain needed a redo, but Mr. Smelscer agreed that there should be no charge for the second visit and apologized that it was necessary. He and his plumbers were very courteous and helpful. I will definitely continue to use their services.

Everyone I dealt with was considerate and courteous in dealing with a stopped up sewer line. In spite of some initial confusion over the source of the issue, a little bit of miscommunication and an email that ended up in a spam folder, Brett wanted to make sure that I ended up satisfied with how things turned out. I think the way that a business responds when things don't go perfectly says a lot about it, and I appreciate the time Brett and the folks at Smelscer took to make sure this customer was taken care of.

Excellent. I'm glad we found them. We have used other plumbers and was charged way more than what this company charged. Also, they showed up on time and gave us good advice as to what to to keep this from happening again. I am VERY HAPPY with their service.

Everytime I have called them for service they get here fast, get the job done quickly amd tje guys are always so nice. For many years I had American Home Shield and while I would have had to pay a minimal copay for one of the plumbing companies they would send, I chose to pay a little more out of pocket to have a company that I knew for a fact I could trust to get the job done right the 1st time by people who knew what they were doing. I 100% recommend this company to anyone.

The technician greeted us when he arrived and explained what he would do to determine the problem and planned fix. He found the problem quickly and cleaned out our sewer line eliminating the slow drainage problem and toilet back up problem we were having. He texted all the toilets and found two leaking and fixed those. After he was finished, he walked me through what he had found and showed me what was fixed. He also discussed with me suggestions from preventing the problem again. All in all I was very satisfied. They were timely in their response (same day service), professional in their appearances and handling the situation and helpful answering all my questions. We've used other plumbers before and this was by far the best service we have received in Waco!

Our guy was friendly and explained all he wasdoing and why. The only reason for the higher cost was because it was 6pm on a Saturday night. He was nice to deal with and very professional. He cleaned up the mess before he left leaving us with very little to deal with. Have had other plumbers in the past and won't go back...this company is a keeper !

Cold called them on Wed. for a commode that had fixtures inside that were unfamiliar to us. They came out the next day. They called ahead and unfortunately, we didn't hear the phone. Contacted them back and they were out in a few hours. Repaired the problem commode and advised us of future issues that may occur in the future. Were prompt, courteous, and informative. Would def use them again.

Mr. Smelscer was running 30 minutes late and called to let me know. He was very professional and congenial and worked on the 4th of July. He finished the job quickly and charged a very fair price. Use this plumber. You will be glad you did.
