Description of Work: When my husband and I went looking for a company to put up a fence, this was the first company we called. A couple houses down our street had their fences done by them and they are beautiful fences. When they came out to give us a quote, we told them that we have dogs and that we would need to have the fence completed ASAP. They said that wasn't a problem, and that they would have the fence done in 2-3 days. They showed up on a Thursday, removed our existing fence and dug the holes for the new posts. When they left, I was told they were waiting on the inspector to come out before they could proceed. They did not come back that day. The foreman called about 4:45 that evening and said that they would not be able to get the inspector out that day, but that he would be there on Friday. My husband waited all day Friday for an inspector that never showed. The foreman called and said that there was an issue with the permit, and that the inspector would be there Monday. When we talked to the city about the permit, they blamed it on the fencing company...when we talked with the fencing company, they blamed the city. We were now looking ahead to a rainy, muddy weekend of taking our dogs outside on leashes. Monday came around, the inspector came by and signed off on the holes. The foreman tells us that he has a crew coming out to the house to get started, so I leave work to meet them there....they never showed. The foreman finally called my husband to tell him that they were in a different city picking up materials and that they would be at our house on Tuesday. By this point, we are getting extremely frustrated. The fence company decides that they are going to give us upgraded pickets and put trim around the top of the fence (an added $1500.00 in material) for all the troubles we had been through. Tuesday, they finally start putting posts in the ground. Wednesday, rails and pickets were being installed. Thursday, one week after starting, the fence was complete...we thought. We ended up needing to have another post put in that was supposed to be installed from the beginning. We are still, to this day, waiting for the company to come out and finish nailing the bottom of the pickets to the kickboard. Maybe one of these days it will actually get done.... | |Although we had several things go wrong with our experience, our fence is beautiful. Based on that alone, we would definitely use the company again and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful, sturdy fence.
