INCREDIBLY rude. UNPROFESSIONAL. Unwilling to actually do real work. Wanted to just paint over existing stain rather then strip or even power wash. Tried to convince me power washing would ruin our deck (no, it won't we've had it for 15+ years and have power washed it many times) and said it would cost more to strip/sand the deck then it would to build a brand new one (no, it won't - we have an estimate for that for someone who wants to work with us). Told me if I wanted the deck power washed or stripped, he was not the company for us. He's right. AVOID THEM!

If you try to strip stain from a deck using a power washer it will fir the wood up and by that I mean it will make it rough from the washer I tried to tell her this but she insisted that they had stripped it 5 times and I politely told her she needed to find another contractor . I have over 40 yrs exp. in this field and I know what can be done and make it look good the deck is 15 yr old and I knew from talking to her she expected it to look like a fairly new deck and after replacing 16 or so rotten boards up next to 15 yr old boards it will not look good with a semi transparent stain .
