I've had more than my fair share of terrible service experiences in this area, but I'd like to take the opportunity to celebrate a wonderful example of exceptional service, and unmatched knowledge & skill. If you are looking for construction, renovation, remodeling and general contracting services of ANY and ALL kinds, Jim Kelly and Ron Childers of Wood Master Homes (Willis, TX) should be your first stop. I especially recommend them for complex, troublesome jobs where other contractors may have failed you. Jim thinks like an engineer, processes options like a scientist, leads his team like a coach, and reassures/comforts his clients like a trusted friend. I've had 2 major repair/reconstruction projects with Jim and Ron, that literally had me in tears prior to reaching out to them. Jim and Ron came out, really studied the issues, figured out the problems, and delivered solutions. One of these problems (leak) ended up costing me zero dollars, as they determined fault with a previous service provider who is paying for all restoration. Ron runs a tight ship with a great crew. They work very clean, constantly sweeping and tidying up throughout the job. They are reliable, consistent and show up when they say the will. They are kind, respectful, and well-mannered. Most importantly, their skills are impeccable! These guys know what they're doing! Don't be intimidated to got out and meet the guys, ask questions, and understand the process. Good! His craftsmanship is first rate. Very good with follow through and he is excellent with communication. If there are any issues he gets someone out right away.

Mr. Kelly and Mr. Childers visited our home, listened well, made many useful suggestions and in a week sent us a bid to perform the work. Their bid was substantially lower than the another bid we'd received. A couple months later we were ready to begin the remodel. Two weeks later the work began. The whole project was completed in about three weeks. During the remodel about 15 different men performed the work. I am a perfectionist and all their work was better than what I was hoping for. We are thrilled with how everything turned out. We enjoyed meeting the workmen, most of whom we learned had been with Wood Master Homes for many years. During the remodel Mr. Kelly and Mr. Childers were easily reached by phone to coordinate things. We found we were very comfortable with the people at Wood Master Homes and are more than satisfied with the quality of their work.

They are an overall great company, showed up and did the work when they were supposed to. All the workers were kind and courteous. They were great to work with and very accommodating with all of our requests to make any changes. I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.

Both bathrooms reconfigured to ADA standards. Master bath: required complete tear out of jacuzzi and old shower and both sinks and widen door to walk in closet and commode area. Replacement lights.Smaller closet got refurbished with new floor, paint and lighting, New stone floors throughout. Guest bath: new ADA commode and new/higher sink and cabinets and new stone floor. Jim (owner) and/or Ron (assistant) present almost every day. Any issues, IMMEDIATELY began work to fix. Original estimate 2-3 weeks. Took 5 weeks but remember this was soon after Hurricane Harvey and labor and materials were very stressed to say the least. Extraordinary customer service by them picking up all materials and even bath accessories. VERY sensitive to disability needs ( like grab bar positioning, shower design, etc ) and knowledgeable about ADA standards. A perfect pick for this project.

Wood Master rebuilt a bulkhead for erosion that had been improperly constructed by another contractor. They were able to come in do the work quickly and professionally at a very reasonable price.
