Don Leavings and his team did a fantastic job on our driveway expansion project in Point Aquarius. With his experience in concrete construction he was very helpful in improving the design for the project that ultimately added value yet, was very competitive with his pricing. Once his crews started the project they completed the work expeditiously and subsequently cleaned up the site very well. I would highly recommend Leavings Concrete for any of your concrete pavement related projects.

Don and his crew were awesome. With a Tropical Storm Imelda approaching the Texas coast, Don brought in additional crew to get the job completed, ahead of schedule. I would hire no one else for concrete work.

They were on time and had the job completed from start to finish in 7 hrs. That is getting the site ready to pour an addition to our patio that was 23 x 10 and sidewalk was 40x4. They were professional, efficient and cleaned up the site completely before they left. Will be hiring them again for our future projects.

The work we wanted had several complications such as a culvert under the driveway and lots of tree roots under the sidewalk. We also wanted a color in the concrete which resulted in a delay to get Township approval. Don Leavings provided a clear and professional bid to deal with the complications and worked with us on the delay to get approval. He was responsive to our texts at all times. His crew was very competent and worked smoothly and quickly. They started Monday morning and were done by Tuesday afternoon. They added some nice touches to the concrete with a smooth border along the driveway edges. Though they had to bring in small tractors to demolish the existing driveway and sidewalks, they were careful with the lawn. It looks in good shape. They refilled the areas where the framing was done. And they swept out part of the garage removing all the dirt tracked in. I recommend Don Leavings and his professional, polite crew for any concrete work you need done.

I can't say enough nice things about this company and its owner, Don Leavings. We had some concrete work done last year and were very happy with it. He poured a driveway and back patio for us. We recently had him come back to lay pavers to form a walkway around the house. Once again, Don did a GREAT job. The job site is very clean and the workmanship is very professional. The finished job is stunning. I highly recommend him.

It was refreshing experience with excellent communication from start to finish. Leavings concrete arrived as scheduled for both the bid and installation work. I was unable to be present during the work and they sent pictures throughout the process. Even when there was an issue they let me know and promptly addressed it—I greatly appreciate their responsiveness That alone sets them apart from many contractors. Plus, no surprise costs, the project cost was the same as the bid!

I have to say there were a couple of issues. First, the cost for the driveway had to be increased because of an increase in the price of rebar. Second, I was disappointed on the finish of one section of the driveway due to a delay in the delivery of cement. Third, the chosen and recommended paver colors clashed terribly with the brick on the house and the walkway and porch had to be completely re-done.

It went very well. They did the work on time, and it was well done. It was better than I envisioned. They were very friendly and easy to work with as well as very competent.

Leavings Concrete enlarged an existing patio and then installed a stamped surface over the entire area. Don Leavings was incredibly patient with me, even when I didn't know what I wanted. He gave me multiple options, provided advice, and allowed me to make changes. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. During and after the work numerous neighbors have stopped by to admire the work and offer their stamp of approval! To be honest I have been considering how to provide a recommendation now for a few weeks as this has been one of the most incredibly pleasant and rewarding experiences we have had with a contractor in quite some time. I'm sure in the end I'll come up short trying to explain what a great experience this was for us. I'm a manager at a local software development company here in the area and have to say that if my contractors had the same approach as Don did with projects, customer service and attention to detail they would not have an issue being incredibly productive and successful. My wife and I found Don and his company Leavings Concrete Company by calling a local Concrete supplier based on a recommendation from someone online. He was our third bid on a job to replace our outdated and falling apart asphalt driveway. At the time I had pressed my wife to get a third estimate. Felt like we didn't have a good feel on value we were getting from the estimates. In retrospect really glad that we ended up getting a third quote! Don was incredibly prompt and professional showing up for his estimate appointment. He was not the cheapest of the three (he was squarely in the middle) but from the outset added on additional items into the project providing even more value such as re-doing our pathway to front of house as well as re-pouring our front stoop. We opted for concrete simply due to how long it would last. The week he started his crews ended up having to work a bit longer the first two days due to weather that was coming. Although he could have waited he opted to get the concrete poured before the rain got here and possibly have an issue with the base under the driveway. I was amazed by how quick and efficient his crews were and also noted that he kept checking in with them. Not that he had to but more just a healthy back and forth on how the project was going. This included discussions on widening the driveway in certain places as well as accounting for proper drainage/etc. In the end the work product was amazing. Windowpanes, a completely redone top to our end of driveway berm. It all looked great. And just like he did throughout the project Don was there at the end inspecting and looking at the finished work product. One advantage of the rain coming in was that we did get a hard shower and were able to see how efficient the drainage was on the driveway. I didn't realize how much asphalt is able to absorb water - concrete is not this way and after the hard rain there were no spots/puddles - everything drained as it should have. Hope this review is helpful to others. It is great to see also that there are people out there like Don that own their own businesses that do a great job and provide impressive customer service throughout. It gives me hope that for other work we have yet to do on our house we can find similar contractors.

Don gave an estimate that seemed a little high, but he was recommended by someone on our neighborhood web site. He required 50% down, so I was worried about that. He also estimated the start date, a few weeks away. He communicated to schedule the start date within the timeframe he had estimated. He did not show up for the deposit until his crew was on site. They completed the job timely, leaving a tiny bit undone because of the rain. I paid in full, so I had no leverage if they didn't come back to finish. They came back anyway and took care of the last detail. I was extremely pleased with the service and the result.

Very good. The clean-up of remaining cement could have been better but the finished job was very pleasing. Pleasant and friendly people to do business with. We got this recommendation from a neighbor who had similar work done. We would definitely recommend this company to others.
