I went to the credit union to rent a safe deposit box and was told that they could not rent one to me because I am not the primary account holder. If I wanted to rent one then my husband would have to come in. My husband travels for his work. I take care of all our bills and banking. Our account is a joint account and because they listed my husband first on the account when we signed up for it they refused to let me rent one. I had a large number of papers and things that needed to go in a box so I opened another share account where I am primary account holder. This is very inconvenient. I would have to say that since this is not a true joint account I could not recommend this Credit Union to anyone. Other things that are bad: If your online account goes down or you get locked out you won't be able to access it again until someone shows up for work at the main branch on Monday- also there is no way to transfer funds to external accounts from your checking account so we can't put money in our retirement accounts directly.
