This young guy shows up 1/2 hour early from our appointment time. I'm not ready. I have pets that need to be brought inside. And btw, Shoops made the appointment at their time of choice, I just went along with it. I explain this to him thinking he would understand and stay back while I get the pets inside. He doesn't. He pulls his long hose into the backyard before I can get the cat. I tell him to back off, he's the reason I can't get her. The cat hides under the deck. I have to crawl under there to retrieve her and she scratches me. Now I'm annoyed. I tell him he got me scratched. He giggles. He thinks this whole showing-up-too-early thing is a big joke. After he leaves, I notice he carelessly broke off part of my wooden fence gate pulling the hose too hard against it and not paying attention. I would never use them again!! Their workers are unprofessional and idiotic. It's like dealing with toddlers.

The provider showed up on time and did what was required in May of 2015. He seemed knowledgeable. The problem came when I went in the store to pay them in May. I paid with a debit card and thought I had taken care of my bill. In August, I got a call from the provider wondering why I hadn't paid them, and they said that if I didn't pay soon, they would send the bill to collections. I remembered that I had paid them in May in person and looked back at my banking transactions. Sure enough, there was a payment to Shoops for the exact amount they were asking for. I called Shoops the next day to explain that I'd already paid them and they apologized and said something about how when payments are done through the register, the payment doesn't actually show up in their accounting (whatever they use). I'm just really disappointed that they don't have their act together as far as payments being tracked. If I hadn't done some research on my own, I might have paid them twice because of their error. To think that I almost got my account sent to a bill collector is appalling!

They only charged for one visit and came four times - kept at the problem until it was solved.

After two previous visits to provide rodent-ridding services (traps, glue pads) we asked for a progress review and we also were concerned about a minor odor that we didn't want to turn into a big one.. The technician was right on time (as they always have been). We determined that the odor was likely almost gone so no action was taken. He reviewed what had gone on since their last visit two weeks ago and provided helpful advice. In addition he checked for rodent entry points. He told us to call any time we had problems or questions. This visit was probably unnecessary but he didn't treat it that way and seemed genuinely interested in our situation. If you've every been told by a pest-service provider that "we've done all we can do --- you're on your own now," Shoop's service is most appreciated. (price is unknown since they are sending a bill).

Very courteous and professional.

We had a 5 year contract with this company. For 4 years everything was great and they helped us with our termite problem. On the fifth year inspection/checkup, the tech showed up (only my wife was home) went through the house with my wife... and as he was leaving made a provocative comment to her making her very uncomfortable! She slammed the door in his face and called me. The business was shocked when I called, and offered any service we wanted paid for by this man. While I feel they took care of this issue to the best of their ability, I think people should know this happened. We did NOT order any other services from this company even though it would have costed us nothing.

I use them every year. They did a good job. It's been a year and the ants haven't come back.

It was a good experience.

Shoops always calls ahead of time to ensure we are home for the treatment. We have also used them for an infestation of moths in our attic. They came out took one look at the situation and treated the attic in one step. The cost for this additional treatment was very low and we had no more trouble with the moths. We also had an issue with a dead animal in the wall of our home. Shoops recommended an oil to put in the room with smell. While there was still an odor, you could use the room until the smell completely went away in a few weeks.
