Description of Work: Servicemaster cleaned four large area rugs. They picked them up on time; finished before I was ready for delivery but held them at their facilities until I could accept delivery. All representatives of the company were professional and willing to accommodate my requests.

When I arrived home I had discovered that my home had been flooded by city sewer water. I immediately called my Insurance Agent who referred ServiceMaster of Wichita Falls to me. I called ServiceMaster even though it was after hours and they were more than willing to come out and get this taken care of. I had just one concern, I had a $1,000.00 deductible, the gentleman that called me said ServiceMaster would be more than happy to allow me to pay my deductible out in monthly payments and the best part was, they would not even charge me interest as long as I made my payments in the amount that we agreed on and they were made by the due date. When they did arrive at my home, they were very courteous and friendly even though it was on a Friday night. They explained to me what their procedure was and then within 2 hours they were done. I could never thank my Agent enough for recommending ServiceMaster to me. I would highly recommend ServiceMaster to anyone who has a need for water restoration.

Description of Work: Services to be provided were for FIRE & SMOKE Damage due to wildfires. They were supposed to clean carpet, walls, ceilings, cabinets, windows, blinds, furniture, air vents, furnace, ceiling fans, etc. They did an inadequate job on almost everything. They submitted several invoices claiming services they did not render. Some they came back and did. But the final invoice still claimed for services not performed. The people who came into my home were courteous and nice. BUT, they did not know how to do the job (Exception, General Manager who came to clean up after the others did not, and the air vent cleaner.) However, the vent cleaner indicated he performed a service (cleaning AC unit) which he did not do. Carpet cleaners tried to tell me the protective sealant was in the "cleaning water." First on site representative told me I could pay my deductible monthly at an amount I chose. The company then tried to tack on an interest payment if I was ever late. All in all, this company is overcharging and under-providing. In my opinion they cheated the insurance company and I should not have had to pay my deductible. They were overpaid by the insurance company. The aggravation and anguish they caused me is immeasurable. I am 70 years old and I expected everything to be done as promised -- the FIRST TIME.

Response from Servicemaster Of Wichita Falls
The member was provided an itemized estimate of all the tasks performed at her home and the prices of each task. Not all of the rooms in her home were affected by soot from the wildfires. Only the rooms that were affected were initially cleaned. The member contacted the estimator and indicated she was not satisfied with all the cleaning that had been done. I contacted her and took a copy of the itemized estimate to her home. She and I went through the itemized estimate and I explained the computer pricing program. We also discussed each item that was cleaned and she indicated to me those items she felt were not cleaned to her satisfaction. I told her that I would personally return the following day with a crew to re-clean those items/areas she was not satisifed with. It is ServiceMaster's guarantee that we will re-clean any item/area to the total satisfaction of the customer. I also told her that I would inspect all areas of the home to make sure they met the standards of cleanliness. I returned the next day and along with the crew cleaned all items/areas she was not satisfied with, inspected the entire house and cleaned an additional room without charge. After everything was completed I did a walk-through witht he customer and she signed a satisfaction form indicating she was satisfied with the job. The vent cleaner did complete their task. Cleaning the Ac unit consisted of vacuuming dust/debris in and around the unit. We are not HVAC certified and do not attempt to clean internal mechanisms of the unit. The people she questioned about the carpet cleaning were not knowledgeable of carpet cleaning. I had the carpet cleaner return and re-apply carpet protector and re-clean the carpet. She was satisfied with this process. The first on-site representative was correct in telling her that she could pay her deductible in monthly installments. The form is a standard document spelling out the monthly payment program and it does include an interest penalty if the payments are late. This is a standard business practice and in no way meant to charge more than the agreement states. ServiceMaster of Wichita Falls did not submit several invoices claiming services we did not render. An initial estimate was sent to the insurance adjuster. She and I went through the estimate and I made all the changes that she requested and included all the items that we did or did not perform. I then submitted that bill to the adjuster for final payment.
