The crews were fast and efficient. Employees were polite and considerate. Work was well executed and cleaned up area after repairs made. Billing was completed effectively and as needed.

Great. They arrived at 8:00 a.m. and were finished at 1:00 p.m. Cory and Everett were very polite and knew what they were doing. I have not had any of their employees at my house that I was displeased with.

I have used James Lane Air Conditioning & Plumbing ever since purchasing my home. I was travelling out of state on business when I received a call from my wife. The water heater had started leaking. In my house, the water heater closet is located off a carpeted hallway and the living room. I told her to call the James Lane dispatcher and tell them that we had an emergency. The dispatcher advised my wife on how to close the valve that feeds water to the heater. Two plumbers arrived less than one hour later and immediately set to work, draining and removing the leaking water heater. They communicated with me over the telephone to determine my preferences for how to proceed with the replacement. Two airline flights and a car trip from Dallas later, I arrived to find the situation was completely restored and I was ready to enjoy my weekend.

We contract annually with James Lane to provide a "preventive maintenance" service for our HVAC system, for a cost of $245. Every 6 months they come to our home and check the entire system to insure proper function, etc. This cost covers 2 complete systems in our home, as the front living area is covered by one system and the bedrooms by a second unit. We get ours done in April, before the air conditioner gets a summer workout, and in October, before the really cold weather comes. The technician (we can request who we want!) always shows up right on time. He is courteous and professional. He never tracks in any dirt or other mess. About every third check he finds a problem that will likely lead to a system failure in a matter of time and at our approval fixes the issue right then and there. Repairs are not covered in the cost of the service agreement, but we are provided a 10% discount on the additional work because we are on the agreement. We feel the service is a great value and that it helps us avoid unplanned, inconvenient breakdowns.

SET APPT FOR SOMEONE TO LOOK AT AND CORRECT A/C FOR ONE ROOM IN HOUSE THAT WASN'T COOLING PROPERLY. THEY CAME AND LOOKED AT IT AND WHEN THEY CAME TO FIX, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT ABLE TO BE FIXED WITH THE INITIAL SOLUTION AND WE HAD TO HAVE THE DUCT WORK REPLACED. THEY DID THIS WITH NO ADDIITIONAL CHARGE FROM THE INITIAL ESTIMATE. THEY ALSO NOTICED A LEAK FROM THE TOILET WHILE UNDER THE HOUSE AND REPORTED AND REPAIRED IT WHILE THERE.

At about 8pm on a Saturday night the main water line to my manufactured home busted. This is the second time this has happened in the past year. This time I called James Lane. John Dulaney came out that night but he didn't have the parts in his truck to fix it correctly and the hardware stores were closed. He come back first thing Sunday morning as soon as the hardware store opened. He charged me their Saturday rate ($116 + parts) rather than their Sunday rate ($148 + parts). But what's more, the repair that he did was excellent! The last time I had it repaired (by someone else) they just patched it together. The main water line was suspended off the ground and connected to a T joint is such a way that put a lot of pressure on the junction. John Dulaney installed a couple elbow joints and extended the pipe so that the main water line is resting on the ground where it should be and he moved it over so that it is in a better position then it was. I am very happy with the service and professionalism afforded by James Lane Air Conditioning and pluming. I highly recommend them and will definitely be using them for all my plumbing issues in the future.

Asked if it was ok for his apprentice to join him. He did not explain this would mean I had to pay for the apprentice's time! I thought he just wanted to be sure the apprentice could come in and view the procedure (which is what he did) so he could learn. I did NOT know is was so he could pad his bill. The apprentice added zero value to the job, not even to fetch a tool or part. I will never use their service again. Professionalism received a poor grade because it is not professional to rip people off. Date is a vague guess (just joined Angie's List).

Septic system backed up on a Sunday. Responded within three hours to clear it.

We have had James Lane out to fix a toilet shut off valve as well. Each time they have come out, the service technician was professional and exceedingly helpful.

The work has been excellent, they have been around for years. The cost is competitive. The quality is excellent and the work they provide reassures me that the system will hold up after repairs and if we need them they will take care of us quickly. We will need to use them for replacement in the next couple of years.
