The rest of the $9000 was apparently for them to take out the old one, and put the new one and the same spot with the same plumbing. So I was charged $7000 for less than 2 hours of work. When I called and complained about being mislead and lack of billing transparency, I was told that this is just how they do it. Call any other company if you want transparency and truthfulness and fair pricing."

Plumbing costs obviously vary from job to job. You can expect to pay anywhere from $225 - $400 for your average repair of a faucet or toilet. Frozen broken pipes are a much more difficult item to put a price tag on. The best course is to try to correct it as soon as possible: These tend to get worse rather than better, which means more costly. You will obviously be paying more for after hour emergency services, but time is of the essence.
