The carpenter that Handyman sent, after surveying my bathroom renovation, had to "decide" (and yes he used that word) if he wanted to do the project. Which was to install tile, float the walls and maybe build a small cabinet. Ok, I know the labor climate in Austin is pretty tight right now, even day laborers are getting picky, and I can accept the fact that he had to "decide" to do the project. But I never received a phone call back as to his "decision" from him or Handyman. Since I'm using Angie's List and Handyman did rank on top, I would expect at least a follow up phone call from the carpenter or maybe someone from Handyman to recommend someone else, but that didn't happen. As for my experience with Handyman, I rank them a 0 since the only thing they really do is provide a liaison service between the worker and the customer. They couldn't even do that well. I felt I was written off, and heck, since there's so much work in Austin, they both don't care. So I'm doing the job myself.

My phone call was promptly returned by the front office. The services were explained and my questions were answered in a friendly manner. I was given a ballpark figure on what I could expect to be charged for the work I needed done. An appointment was scheduled for the serviceman to give an actual estimate and complete the work if the estimate met with my approval. Gary Evans arrived at my home on schedule to look at the job. After conferring with the office, he gave me a high to low bid and completed the tasks that same day. He was very good at communicating to me (example: what he was doing, why he was doing it, etc). He was pleasant to work with and gave me advice on other projects that I had planned in the future. I was very pleased with this company from a service and a professional perspective.

Overall service went very well. Representative initial contact was prompt. He was courteous, neat, and professional. Kept me well informed as work progressed. Job was excellent except for one minor flaw,paint finish was luster instead of flat.

Gary W. Evans, the independent contractor who came out to give estimate, was prompt and courteous. He was also highly knowledgeable and gave us other options that previous companies did not provide. We were pleased that he could install the metal roof. He and his assistant were precise and the result was topnotch. They cleaned up and took away all debris. We have already referred a friend to Gary Evans and the company.

Handyman showed up on time on a Friday to look at work and give an estimate. Gave alternatives for saving money on the projects. We agreed on the work to be performed. Handyman showed up on time on Thursday and completed the projects. Very pleasant to deal with and the work looks great. I will use again! Very satisfied customer.

Excellent. This company really has a great team. They give you thoughtful estimate and no surprises when you get the final invoice. They fully explain the job and how they will proceed so you, the homeowner, are knowledgable and not surprised.

David Hughes did and excellent job. He was a perfectionist and you could really tell he cared how well everything looked and turned out. He even did extra few things like spackle a couple of cracks a few holes. I will use him for all future work and recommend him to our friends.

A person came out to access the miscellaneous work needed in order to provide an estimate and never heard from them again. With all the competition, I decided to find another company more responsive.

The handyman, Gary Evans, arrived right on time and had the whole job finished in under an hour and a half. He didn't leave a message, and took care of everything including wiring the fan and light correctly to the double switch that was already installed on the wall. In fact, while he was there he even noticed that our guest bathroom door didn't latch, and fixed it by moving the striker plate! Best of all, this came in at the low end of the estimate we were given! We're very happy with the work, and will definitely call for Gary again!

We would gladly use Handyman Connection again. Mr. Evans was prompt and delivered what he promised. The new built-in bookshelves are beautiful. We are very happy with his work.

Handyman showed up on time (a little bit early in fact). He was very friendly, courteous, quickly installed the ceiling fan and cleaned up well afterwards. Would recommend them.

David Hughes, the painter that Handyman Connection sent did an excellent A+ job. In addition, he was on time, easy to work with, and very neat. Their price was very reasonably.

I want to continue using Mr. Evans and he said that would be possible through the Handyman Connection. They assume that I like him, unless I say otherwise. He does a number of different types of work. BTW, the operator at Handyman Connection was also very efficient and friendly. Kudos!

I have used Handyman Connection for several jobs. Except for two jobs that required licensed electricians, all of my experience has been with Jim Ferguson. Jim seems to be a "master of all trades." As usual, he quickly sized up the jobs, arrived punctually, and got the work done quickly and well.

We are very pleased with this handyman service; he performs excellent service. He built a wood trestle in our yard and the craftsmanship of his work is beautiful. We have used his services for many of other jobs around our home and we have always been satisfied. The work is done quickly and very professional.
