Handyman Connection of Austin-Westlake

We have used Handyman Connection for several jobs before and were extremely pleased -- This is no exception. J.D. Clowdus was responsive to our needs and adjusted to our family situation: we had lots of tile work in our living area and that constrained our movement as he worked. He was able to work around us as we actually lived here. He was also really artistic in his design and crafting of the tiles. And, his counsel about the grout was right on target. Also, he spent lots of time and energy finding just the right transition pieces to match the existing pecan floor and other tile/carpet.

They came right out. They worked very quickly and did a good job. They had a horrible price. It was way to expensive.

The handyman guys were professional, prompt, and courteous. They worked on the house for two days (they informed us ahead of time that it would take two days). I would hire them again for future handyman work that I needed done.

Was in the attic and fell on a place with only sheet rock, foot went through and made a hole in the ceiling of our two story entry way. Checked Angie's List and called Handyman Connection. Great service. Brent (our handyman) kept us informed of any schedule changes. Showed up promptly. Went to work right away. Very neat. Very professional. The bathroom flooring was an add-on job after we saw how professional Brent was. We could not have picked a worse place for a two ceiling hole. Very awkward - near paintings, nothing to hold on to. Brent fixed it! Beautifully and for less than the estimate. Paintings and floor are intact and untouched. The work he and John did on the bathroom floor is nothing short of very impressive. They worked very hard and it shows. Beautiful job. Definitely will be calling them back.

OK. $120 quoted for a 1-hour job. Charged slightly less because the job came in at <1 hour. I stressed that I wanted the caulking done neatly by masking it off then wiping it with a guide. Instead it was done free-hand and as a result some caulk seeped up into grout lines of the tile. If I wanted a sloppy job done, I could have done it myself.

It was quick. It is restored and looks brand new. I haven't had to call them to come back and fix anything.

It was very well done. They did a great job. The price was very reasonable. They were very professional and I would definitely hire them again in the future.

Although the work was tedious (siding kept breaking because it was fragile, etc.). Dennis did a great job and completed all tasks.

John did a great job for us. He was knowledgeable on the task that we had to have done, i.e. remove and replace facia boards on our garage door. The previous company did a poor job of installing the boards because they were not pressure treated wood and the water damage was significant.

I called the Handyman Connection last Thursday morning and spoke to a very pleasant gentleman. After taking all of my information down, he said he needed to check the schedule and would call me back within a half hour to let me know when someone would be able to come by the house. I have not heard from them since.

They did good work. They were speedy and responsive. The price was probably a bit high, but I was pleased with the work and unable to do it myself.

They gave me a bid for a bathroom remodel. They were excellent. They were very informative polite and friendly. They arrived when they said they would. The quote in my opinion was reasonable.

He did some little things with my lights and he put up a couple shades. My experience with him worked out great. They came the day I called and finished the same day.

I sent an email off and within a few hours I received a phone call from a very friendly lady who asked me what was a good time for them to come out. We agreed on the next day at 1pm. So, I was able to book and have them out in less than 24 hours. I will also say they were willing to come out the same day, but I was not available. Phil was the craftsman who came out to my house. He was right on time. He was very nice and professional and we walked around the house to show him what I needed done. He gave me a fair priced estimate and I agreed to the work. He had to go to Home Depot since one of the things I kind of sprung on him (the faucet repair) since the plumber I called never called back. I appreciate his ability to be flexible and fix things that were not necessarily scheduled. He did an excellent job on all the work and I will definitely use Handyman Connection again.

It took several days before I got a return call, and had a bit of trouble finding out when the work would get done. But after I spoke with the scheduler, they gave me a date and I received a call from the workman to get approval to work. He did the work on time and did a professional job.

Handyman Connection was very professional and responsive. They called me back the same day as receiving my request for a quote. Our handyman, Logan, was quite professional and thorough. He did a great job.

It went great. The work looks good. The people were excellent. They new what they were doing. They matched the texture and paint perfectly. They arrived in a timely fashion and they got it done in a timely fashion as well.

The initial job by a new (unfamiliar) handyman was very unsatisfactory from beginning to end. The mailbox was not seated firmly. What's more, he arrived before our earliest scheduled time (and before I did) and tried to open the garage door, damaging the weather-stripping; he also had to spend a good deal of time re-setting the opener so the wall control and remote would work properly. Rene Salazar responded very promptly to the letter I wrote, in which I gave more details of the situation. Rene then sent my usual handyman Gary (who had been unavailable earlier) to reset the mailbox post more firmly (using 2 bags of concrete instead of just one) and also had the weather-stripping replaced. Gary delivered the kind of service I expect from Handyman Connection and took care of contacting and scheduling the garage repair. Not only did Rene refund the money I paid for the initial work, but there was no charge for redoing mailbox or replacing the weather stripping. Handyman Connection recognizes when service has not been performed up to its high standards and strives to maintain its reputation for satisfied customers. I will definitely call them again. I called Rene at 10:00 am to inquire about getting a dog door installed in a wall in my kitchen. He was very pleasant and was especially happy to hear that I heard about him on Angie's List. He informed me that he could not do the work unless my landlord called him to confirm that he was ok with installing the door. My landlord called him right away and 5 minutes later Rene called to tell me that someone would be at my house by 10:30!! I never thought it would be so fast! I expected to wait at least a week or longer. Phil arrived at my house at exactly 10:30 and was also very pleasant and professional. He gave me an estimate, and was finished with the door within a couple of hours. The dog door looks great! Chaco and Maddie are especially pleased!!

They were prompt and it required no effort on my part.

I had been told someone would arrive between 8:30 and 9:00. Handyman Connection has their handyman provide an estimate at the time of the appointment, and you can decide whether to go forward with the work at that time. Phil arrived promptly at 8:30 and delivered an estimate after investigating what was involved in the project. He was friendly and careful, put down a tarp to avoid making a mess on the carpet, and completed the work. I needed him to be finished by 1:00 so I could get to a meeting, and he finished well in time. The work is great; I've had no problems after the fact. The bill was for the estimated amount. I'm not sure I got the best bargain, but I agreed to the price quoted and that's what I paid.
