Their work was timely, cost-effective, and thorough.

They said they could correct my issue. When he showed up and was not able to resolve my problem, he said he didn't have time to help me. He left and told me what I needed to do. He was really rude and aggressive when taking my credit card out of my hand.

I was disappointed that they didn't clean up all the broken glass afterwards. I had seven other people contacted and none of them gave me a bid. In that sense, they were the only bid and it was a reasonable price for the amount of labor. They are excellent if they clean up.

Randy Fields worked hard and did a lovely job.

Went well, handyman showed up on time, gave me a fair quote and was respectful of my time and home.

They didn't do any work. All they did was give me an estimate. I would recommend them.

They did a good job in installing new cabinets as well as matching color with existing cabinets. Did a good job to repaint all the cabinets

Let me give some details. We were out of our house (living out of town) for a year and had a tenant in there. The house is about 24 years old. The drain pipe underneath the shower shifted out of its socket. The only way to repair it was to remove/demolish the entire cultured marble shower (floor and walls), perform the plumbing repair and then replace the entire shower. Finding somebody to do this was a nightmare. The job was too big for a plumber (they needed somebody else to do the shower work) and too small for a general contractor (just a shower remodel with plumbing fixing). At this point, I was not a member of Angie's list and I did not know of Handyman Connections-Austin. Since I was living out of town for the year, I needed a single point of contact to take care of the entire job. It was a nightmare finding somebody to come out to assess the work, and then to take on the job. I had several totally unprofessional experiences in the process, and went as far as two entities cancelling on me the night before the job was to start. A couple even refused to give a timeline for the repair in their estimate. In despair, I decided to join Angie’s list, looked up reviews and emailed Handyman Connection-Austin. The experience was head and shoulders above anything else I had encountered. The email response from Rene was very quick, then the conversation with Sandra on the phone to get an appointment scheduled happened within a day and then Bill went to assess the work needed very quickly. The estimate was detailed and Bill explained very clearly what is to be done. The work proceeded smoothly, I got regular updates from Bill via phone and email throughout the entire process. All in all, a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Handyman Connection-Austin. I will definitely be using them again.

It has been pretty good. We didn't get prices from anybody else. They were recommended to us and we just went with them.

He called and set up an appointment to come out Monday. He told me he would call me when he was on his way. He never showed up and never called me.

I called the office the morning of 4/5 looking for a person who repaired storm doors. I talked with Sandra, who put me on hold and attempted to reach a technician she thought could do the job. She was unsuccessful in reaching the person, and she said she would call after she returned from a meeting. More than 24 hours have passed, and Sandra still hasn't called. Business must be good if you can afford to treat prospective customers this way.

Called and left a message but no one ever called me back. I won't be using this service in the future. If they won't call me back, they won't call my clients back. As a Realtor, I expect excellent customer service, especially if I recommend someone.

Initial contact was good. Unfortunately they were not available to do the work as soon as we wanted. No trouble though. Cullen came by and installed the door in under 8 hours and was a great and friendly person. He did an excellent job and really went the extra mile for me; keeping me informed of what was happening during the process and advising me on issues regarding painting the door and weatherstripping.

Called for an estimate to replace a kitchen sink and faucet. Estimates are not given over the phone. Website says to call to request a free estimate, however, this does not apply to licensed plumbers. Perhaps that why they use the word "request ". You need to make an appointment to have a plumber come to your house for the estimate. If you do not accept, there is a $45 charge. If you do accept, the $45 is waived.

1-24-16 I emailed via Angie's List a request for two projects (new door hardware on all entry doors and garage finish-out). 1-26, emailed again and received message to feel free to call to make an appointment. Did that, but the woman said she could not schedule the projects because she was not sure who to leave it for. She assured me that one of two men would call me to discuss and schedule. No call, no follow-up

We replaced everything in our very outdated hall bath: vanity, toilet, tub, tile on floor and wall, drywall and texture repair. Handyman Connection worked with us to keep the prices down (we demoed the bath and gutted it completely before their work started and we also bought all the supplies ahead of time). Everything was going great: good quote, some friendly advice, communicative project manager, but their admin office seemed completely unreliable. We had some run-of-the-mill delays, but the most frustrating was that the tile guys had to work over the weekend instead of during the week. So we had workers in our house all weekend - not a huge deal except that we have a toddler and small kid so we had to just be gone as much as possible so our babies wouldn't be in their business. The tile guys did great work and were totally considerate and friendly with our girls. It was just a sucky situation. Again the project manager was available and communicative, so we always knew what was going on. It then turned out we had a problem converting our bath to a double vanity, so we had to return our vanity and reorder for a single sink. Our project manager was super nice about rescheduling for a later date. All of this might just be humdrum pains of a remodel, but during this whole thing their admin office was ridiculously unprofessional. They literally never answered the phone. You'd have to leave a message with an answering service, and then they'd call you back several hours later or maybe the next day. When you'd talk to them they'd almost always have incorrect information and didn't seem to retain anything from any previous conversations. They didn't send invoices, they'd just call you and tell you what they were going to charge. They could never get our credit card right so we just mailed in a check. They over charged us and then didn't refund the right amount. For the vanity they told me it would be $525 on the phone but then charged us $800 and refunded $190. Making the total $610 - almost $100 more than they told me. I didn't even call about the difference because I assumed I'd get some runaround about the costs and they didn't send an invoice or quote anyways, so I don't even have anything to point at. It. Was. Ridiculous. Overall: B for the work. F for the admin office. Giving them an overall rating of C seems generous, but I don't want to knock on the good work the remodel team did.

That went pretty well. We had some places that just needed to be patched up. They did a good job. I definitely give them a positive recommendation. My experience overall with Handyman Connection is kind of a mixed bag of you get what you get. Sometimes the people they send are better than the other times depending on what you need help with.

What a strange handyman service this is. The first time we called them, it was for a an undersink cabinet repair in our kitchen. We got a quote from Handyman Connection, and we scheduled the actual repair. Suddenly that day, the handyman decided that he couldn't do the repair because they wouldn't be liable for the granite countertop in the event that it came down. Now, we didn't hide the granite from them...it was there at the time of the quote. Couldn't they have refused to take on the project at the time of the quote? Wasted our time, which we could have used finding a contractor who would actually do the job. Their reviews on Angie's list were so high, and they were so punctual when they came out to give them a quote, that we chalked up our first experience to bad luck, and we gave them another shot to prove themselves. After all, they had an A rating on Angie's List. This time, we needed grout replaced in the shower stall of our master bath, an adjustment to the hinge of an exterior door which dead bolted with difficulty, and a repair to a bathroom door which had a hole in it (patching job) . We also asked them to examine and repair a bedroom window on the 2nd floor which leaked during heavy rains. They send an elderly handyman who was uncomfortable climbing a ladder to examine that window. So, he couldn't even give us a quote for that window repair because he couldn't climb a ladder. Total quote for grout, door hinge, and door patching...$351. Seriously? That didn't even include the costs of repairing the leaky bedroom window. And they wasted our time again by not sending a handyman who could examine one of our repairs: the leaky window. We made it very clear when we scheduled the quote that we could not see a visible problem inside the house. Therefore, we needed someone to bring a high ladder. The handyman had been told that they thought the issue was inside. We will not be giving Handyman Connection any more chances. They arrive, and they say "made ya look!"

James did an excellent job and gave great recommendations on paint color. The job was expertly executed and we are very pleased.

Installation of a standard home depot commercial pedestal sink. Handyman sent out a sub-contractor (plumber). He came in within time specified, provided troubleshooting fairly quickly, and quoted $160 for aforementioned work and lavatory drain assembly parts (expensive, but needed it completed right away). Completed job took about 45 minutes and after job then provided invoice for $180.00. I told him he quoted me for $160 prior to starting job and argued that it's $180.00. He said part ($20)and included labor for a total of $180. I immediately called Handyman Connection main number because of dispute in addition to paying by credit card. By the time we got a hold of Handyman operator (got hold of operator in matter of seconds) he said he didn't have time for this because he had another job to go to, so he settled for $160. Poor professionalism on the sub-contractor work and tried to increase price after service completed. I write contracts for a living and price per hour for this plumber well exceeded fair pricing (excluding part, $140.00 for a 45 minute job).

I purchased the ladder and the company charged $300.00 for labor. It was a some what difficult replacement. We were very happy with the quality and workman ship.

Handyman Connection came out to give us an estimate. The scheduler was very professional, and the repairman arrived on time for the estimate, and he was very professional. When we scheduled the actual repair, the same repairman again arrived punctually. However, suddenly he got cold feet, and he got concerned about doing cabinet repair work while supporting the granite countertop. He checked back with his supervisor, and he essentially walked out on the job saying that they could not be liable in the event the granite countertop cracked. So, he left us back at square one. I felt this information could have been relayed when the estimate was done. We were left still with a kitchen cabinet that needed a repair and we lost several days where we could've called in other contractors to do the repair. We ended up going with another contractor, who didn't quite understand why Handyman Connection walked off the job. He said, yes, you have to be very careful with the granite, but cabinet damage from the dishwasher or sink is one of the most common kitchen repairs. It can be done. I feel Handyman Connection wasted our time. They were professional when we did work with them on the phone and at the time of the estimate, but they could've refused the job at the time of the estimate. It was a very strange incident, and I was very mad that they walked off the job.

I scheduled for a handyman (Todd) to come give me an estimate. Called that morning to confirm and he didn't show up. No explanation. Really unprofessional.

It all was great. Robert was very communicative and his brother Frank did a great job on the tasks he was asked to perform. We are actually looking to use them again in the near future!
