Handyman Connection of Austin-Westlake

It was the first time I had used them. They hung an interior fan for us. They were professional and friendly.

The handyman was professional and helpful. He arrived when promised and he completed the work within an acceptable timeframe. My biggest complaint is in the quality of the work. As far as I can tell, the installation of the door was acceptable. The door seems solid enough. I was disappointment in the molding and security bolts from the door. I can see gaps in the molding and I found it easy to reach up and pull the top molding away from the wall. I had the handyman return once to fix the molding but it still is poorly done. As for the security bolts, I cannot push either one (one at the top of the door and the on at the bottom) very far down into the jamb. It seems that the holes for the bolts are not very deep. As for the wall repair, I may not have communicate my expectations very well . The hole in the bathroom wall was not repaired the way I thought it should be. The handyman just pushed the drywall back into place and plastered over it. I thought an 8 inch by 8 inch damaged section should have been cut out and a new section of drywall cut, floated, and taped back into place. I am not a repair person so maybe pushing it in and plastering over it is the correct way to make the repair???

He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and worked steadily until the job was done. I was very pleased and will be using them anytime I need a handyman.

He came and attached some shutters that were loose and tweaked the ceiling fan. He was very nice, courteous and on time. I would use him again in the future.

I never got to use them. I had trouble finding the coupon. It was around March this year when I did call them. I knew that I purchased the coupon but I did not know the redemption code to schedule the appointments. The guy told me he would get back in touch with me and he never did and now it is expired.

Harry did an excellent job, very professional, explained everything up front, and answered any questions I had. Cleaned up as he went to make sure my 2 small dogs didn't get into any of the wood drilled out. Once he was done he asked me to come look to make sure everything was how I wanted it and if I had any questions or concerns. Which I didn't as he did a great job. Would definitely recommend them to others.

Repair was done very well and looks good. The bondo option was given by the repairman as a cheaper alternative than replacing the whole board. Had some difficulty with scheduling but the office or the repairman were very good about keeping me informed and figuring out another time for the repair. He was even willing to come over on a Saturday to do the repair when we got rained out on one of the dates. I will use Handyman Connection for other projects.

Jeannene was professional on the phone, asked specific questions about each needed repair, set the date and followed up via phone to have charges approved and via email to send receipts. Doug did a great job fixing the repairs in a short time and was respectful of the tenants time.

Louis came out and looked at what I wanted done. He was very pleasant and respectable. He took the time to listen. He emailed me a quote and we arranged a time for him to perform the work. He did a fine job. Everything works better now, and my mantel looks fantastic. I am comfortable putting heavy objects on it due to Louis' diligence.

A handy man came to estimate the job - telling what he would do to repair the hole by the hose outlet. Since it involved changing the siding we did it to a natural corner on the house and did not reside the entire side of the house. He makes an estimate and that is it. You aren't specifically paying by the hour. Also since there is a statement swearing to accuracy as part of this testimonial and no where else to say this ... the date of the work is just a wild guess. But they wanted the information so here it is.

First class, all the way! Handyman connection started with a clear and reasonably-priced written bid. They then brought the handyman within a few days. He was an older fellow with a wide variety of experience, assisted by his wife. He did very good work. There was only one minor error, but it was not a big problem by any means: At one level in the stacking of the bricks, he forgot to change the interleaving of the bricks, so in one place, the bricks are directly atop one another instead of staggered. It still looks fine though, and other than that minor inideality, everything went beautifully. I tried to get other bids on this, and didn't get much from them. One contractor, who had done other, unrelated work for us before, came by a couple times, but never actually submitted a bid, despite repeated attempts to contact him. Another one came by and gave a kinda-vague oral-only quote. One other potential contractor never called back on the original request. Handyman Connection, on the other hand, was consistently forth-coming and consistent in the entire process. I recommend Handyman Connection wholeheartedly!

The work was done well, with a smile and quite quickly - far more quickly and better than I could have done myself.

This company is okay, but make sure you have enough work for them to fill up the $79 two hour special they offer. I didn't and so therefore I didn't get my money's worth. But that's my fault. I only had them put in filters in places I couldn't reach with a tall ladder and had one of the guys come out look at other things that needed fixing. Problem was, they wanted me to get the supplies, which eluded me, and they couldn't guarantee they would be the handyman that returned. The handyman that did return put my filters in again, but that was it. He was not the same man. So basically I spent $79 to just put in filters and never got my other odd jobs fixed.

Top work and a top guy as well

Getting a house ready to sell, I got Handyman Connection to initially get an estimate for painting and patching some drywall (drywall had a few large holes after a plumbing issue was fixed). I eventually got them to do all the work I needed, including replacing baseboards and outside siding repair. I also worked with their sister company to get the carpet replaced (Flooring Concepts International). All work was done quickly and professionally. Rene, the owner, personally worked with me to get the job done and kept in contact with the progress. I have no doubt that there are cheaper options out there, and I didn't get any other estimates, but I am satisfied with the great job that was done.

They arrived on time, and worked quickly and efficiently. Everything went as advertised.

Handyman Connection's Gerardo Juarez arrived promptly. I explained what I wanted and he immediately began working. It started raining; this didn't slow Mr. Juarez down at all. He completed the ramp and it was just what I wanted. He did excellent work, was very professional and pleasant. Ms. Salazar called after the work was completed to see if I was satisfied. Great customer service.

It was very good service. The first time they came out there were some issues but they sent someone out and fixed the issue. I liked how they handled the situation. They were professional and courteous

The dead bolt on our large, heavy front door has given us problems for years. Assuming that the door had shifted or sagged on its hinges, I thought that it needed to be rehung. Clint's assessment of the problem was much simpler and easier to correct. We had paid for two hours' work; when he finished repairing the door, about 45 minutes remained, and he asked what else around our house needed attention. I directed him to a guest bath, where the caulking was discolored and gapped. He cleaned it up and recaulked it. I was very happy with his work.

We decided to price the work after getting a quote from Lowes. It was cheaper than Lowes prices for installation, and the staff (Cullen Toney) was courteous, prompt, and professional. Most importantly, our dogs even liked him. The quote was less material and labor costs than Lowes and he gave us the option of picking up the materials ourselves or having him pick them up. He gave us great advice because we decided to pick up our own materials, which made it even a little cheaper. Cullen was great about being on time, and staying until the work done, and most important cleaning up after himself.

Everything turned out ok. The guy was very nice and I was satisfied but not overwhelmed with excitement about it.

The guy was extremely nice, but very slow. He told me he would do as much of what I needed done that he could do in 2 hours. started with putting in a new deadbolt. that took about an hour and a half. it seemed painfully long. he moved on to the motion sensor lighting in the back yard. again, he was nice and he did get it changed out. but i felt like I probably could have done that stuff myself in two hours. I expected more. the next day I realized that the deadbolt was installed incorrectly. It would lock from the inside with the bolt, but did not unlock with the key. i contacted company. they told me the guy would come fix it. He did, but it was just a big inconvenience.

They had a good eye for what could be done to enhance the the look of your home. It was a challenge but they got it done. They were a friendly bunch and did a good job.
