Description of Work: My wife and I decided to address the drainage problem in the back yard, and interviewed several contractors. Mr Flesher came out, investigated our yard, and availed us of his expertise. He promised to send us a proposal with details of his system, but we never received it. (The price I give is from my memory of his conversation.) Possibly he thought that we were ready to begin the work immediately.

Trademark Landscape's owner, Matt, is very professional and personable. He returns calls and emails promptly. Several months ago we found Trademark on Angie's List. We had them remove dirt and roots from where some sago palms were that we had previosly removed from our yard. (Our puppies ate pieces that were left after the previous company did not clear the dirt--thankfully puppies are ok) Matt & Jason did a good job at making sure that all traces of the roots and plant were removed and then put new dirt and sod. We have used them in the past coupule of months for our weekly lawn service and they do an excellent job. We are very pleased and will continue to us them. Where other companies don't pay attention to small details, Trademark makes sure it's done right. Weeds are pulled from flower beds, bushes are trimmed, and weeds around plants are cleared, and with the heavy rain lately the grass was pretty thick--they bagged it which made a huge difference. We came home to a great looking lawn. We would definitely recommend Trademark for any landscaping work you might have.

We contracted with Trademark Landscape to mow our lawn and since we've done that our yard has never looked better. We have Trademark take care of fertilizing the lawn, planting flowers and shrubs and mulching the landscape. Trademark was a big help troubleshooting a couple of irrigation problems I was having. I'm impressed with the level of professionalism that we've gotten with their company. The crew is very efficient, clean and I can't say enough about how friendly they are. I'm amazed at how quickly they work, but still pay attention to all of the details in our yard.

I hired Trademark Landscape after having met with Matt and his colleague Jason. I was impressed with their knowledge and the design they created for my yard. They gave me a timeline of 10 days when they started, which at first I thought was a little long to complete the project but after its all been completed I see why. They were very good about paying attention to the details. In the kitchen they designed Matt had great ideas all along the way, from the number of outlets to a portable hot water heating tank and even the granite he selected for my counter tops. In my day to day interactions with Jason and the crew I felt like they really cared about giving me the best kitchen and landscape they could. A big thing to me is a crew that cleans up after themselves at the end of the day, they did. At the end of each and every day they took time to clean up my driveway area as well as all of their tools in my backyard, I felt a sense of pride in Jason in wanting to keep a professional, clean site. We were given daily updates by Jason as well at the end of each day. They had originally projected 10 days, they finished in 8, in time for my daughters birthday party to be held at our place. I also have to add that Sherman, the irrigation guy was very professional and knowledgeable. Keeping in line with every other part of Trademark Landscape, Sherman took his time and paid attention to all the details. He installed a system for us that met all of our yards needs. He also installed a top of the line controller with a "weather station" in it, apparently it learns weather patterns as well as individualizes what my zones do based on the type of plants I have. I felt overwhelmed a little when I first attempted to use it but Sherman took his time to give me all the basics for using it. It does have a pretty thick manual, but, I guess that's what you'd expect from such advanced technology. I guess if Id wrap up my experience with one word it would be PROFESSIONAL. I highly recommend Trademark Landscape to any one of my friends and family.

Matt provided plenty of promises; however, few were completed. After a year and one-half, the railing around the deck remained incomplete. Staining of the deck had to be sanded and stained a second time because of improper application. Post caps split and were "going to be replaced the next week" according to Matt. Not done! When a third of the grass in our back yard died, Matt said he would be out promptly to evaluate. Again, not done. Our yard looks worse than most in our subdivision . . . due, in my judgment, to Trademark Landscapes. On April 21, 2014 my wife and I terminated the service agreement with Trademark. Enough was enough!

I've been using Trademark Landscape for over a year to perform yard service (cutting of the lawn, hedges, etc.) and up until recently, I had been satisfied with their service. The most recent incident is the last in a series of unfortunate "accidents" with the work crew that comes to service my property. Most recently, the crew that came to service the yard wound up killing 10 of my wife's plants in the garden. By "kill" I mean, used a weed-whacker and destroyed the plants. There was a fern destroyed, a melon plant destroyed, and a grouping of butterfly attracting plants destroyed. Before this most recent incident, I've had to repair an electrical line that was severed by a hedge trimmer as well as a sprinkler line head that was cutoff. I have called to complain and the person who answers the phone tells me that she will get in touch with Matt (owner?) to address the issue. I never heard from Matt. If it was my business, I would address any complaints either in person or at the very least, call the customer. I'll be looking for a new service as I do not feel that I am a valued customer.
Description of Work: The crew that came to perform my weekly lawn care wound up weed-whacking 10 of my wife's plants in the garden. There was no reason for them to have been in that section of the yard to begin with and this is the 3rd time I've had a problem with a work crew performing anything other than cutting the grass. Previously, they crew has cut through an electrical cord going to my landscape lights as well as hedge trimming through one of my sprinkler heads. I have paid all of the costs to repair the damages. I have called to complain but I have never received an apology - written or verbal.

Owner Matt and the designer were fantastic. Love the plan and Matt and the designer offered several excellent suggestions to achieve our goals in a different way. Matt helped obtain HOA approval and jumped through all the ridiculous hoops without complaint. He returned any calls with questions/difficulties generally within minutes. (When was the last time you had that kind of service?) Our project was delayed several times due to weather and installation flaws, but Matt did his best to stick to the timeline. Here lies the big fly in the ointment: the crew. The only portion of the work that was done correctly the first time was the installation of the crushed granite on the sides of the house - and even with that the crew forgot to lay a portion of the stone edging on the borders. We had a house inspector reviewing electrical issues for us at the time who commented on how well that was done and praised the crew for using metal at the pergola bases to help avoid termite/pest issues. EVERYTHING else required us to point out the need for correction including installation of the handle on the side gate upside down! The pergola support beams weren't straight, the decorative wood coverings on the posts had gaps, and portions of the pergola were not even nailed but just leaning in place. The pet turf was cut too short on one side leaving about a 2 inch gap between the outline and turf for weeds to grow in. The acid staining of the concrete was so light the concrete just looked dirty and old. (To be fair this issue may have been a misunderstanding between me and the subcontractor. She talked me into a different, much darker color and I said I was worried the dark concrete might absorb too much heat and burn bare feet. The original color she selected was just perfect, but required gallons of water for repeated power washing to remove the first stain and re-do it. The guys doing the washing splattered concrete bits all over our house and windows and did not clean it up until we asked Matt to have them do so.) The guys laying the concrete pad splattered my husbands new grill (luckily had a cover on) with cement and allowed it to dry. Matt replaced the grill cover, no questions asked. The concrete has several large pock marks in it which everyone says is normal here, but concrete that we had laid in Chicago and San Francisco never had such problems. We wanted a maintainence free fountain. Matt had said a bubbling urn with a basin below to recycle water and add additional water as needed to compensate for evaporation would be perfect. The urn is beautiful, but has been trouble from the start. It wouldn't bubble correctly so Matt installed a stronger pump (no extra charge). The filter below the rocks was constantly clogged requiring cleaning every one to two days. A better filter was installed (again no additional charge) but still requires cleaning every 2 weeks along with the addition of a half cup of bleach to reduce algae growth. Told Matt this was not the maintainence free fountain he had promised and said we were willing to pay the difference in cost for one that truly was maintainence free, but Matt flatly refused. The vegetable garden was smaller than originally planned due to underground utilities (understandable) but the quality soil it was filled with contained a fair amount of stones. When I complained, Matt said the soil was supposed to be specifically for vegetable gardens and offered to amend the soil. I declined the offer because what I really wanted was stone removal, not additional ammendments. Told Matt I had never heard of stony soil helping any plants and my husband sifted through all the soil himself removing the stones. Our tomatoes did not fare well in the soil; grew and ripened, but were mealy and flavorless although this may be due to the cooler than usual weather we had. The irrigation system for the vegetable bed was linked to the lawn system watering the side yard which was turned off because of the crushed granite. The irrigation guy came by and linked it to the front beds of the house when we complained. We wanted a complete redo of the irrigation system so no plants were getting more/less of what they needed and we have several drainage problems. Matt said these would be addressed in Phase 2 when all plants were in place and I believe he intended to make good on his word. The automatic fertilizer system was added in with the mosquito system at no charge to help compensate for the difficulties we had. Another word on the crew: I asked one crew member a question he couldn't answer and he apologized saying it was his first day. Sebastian, the irrigation guy was supposed to show my husband how to fill and care for the irrigation and mosquito systems. (No instructions from the material company was provided.) My husband found the instructions difficult and unclear. He finally went on line for the information and exclaimed over how easy it was with proper instruction. Also for those of you thinking of including a fertilization system, it is impossible to obtain the liquid fertilizer you need in the winter months to refill the system so stock up in the fall.
Description of Work: Designed our full yard landscaping (newly built home) including adding a fence gate, pergola, irrigation system with auto mosquito system and fertilizing system, fountain, area of pet turf, hot tub pad with acid staining to match existing concrete, raised vegetable garden with top soil and crushed granite on the sides of the house to avoid muddy feet on trips to garbage can. The plan was an additional $450 and ours to use regardless of who we hired. They completed Phase I of two phases (the hardscaping). Plants were to go in March 2014, but we will not be doing that with this company.

We called them for an estimate for cleaning our flower beds and mulching. We also wanted our oak trees trimmed. They came and gave us an extimate. After we negotiated a price they came several days later and cleaned our beds and mulched. My husband had left the check to pay them with before we saw the finished work. They have been by for regular lawn maintenance since then once already. They did a really good job on cleaning the beds and mulching. We even recommended them to our neighbor and they cleaned and mulched their beds.Over all we really liked the work they did do. However, I had asked them to replace several azaleas in the front of our home, which they did, but they did not buy the color I asked for. They also did not trim our trees. Since they didn't trim the trees my husband called the owner and told him of the things that had not been done as agreed. After further conversations, they did trim our trees as we had asked them to do. Word to the wise, always review the specific items agreed to before and after the job. Pay when the job is done to your satisfaction.
Description of Work: We called them to clean and mulch our flower beds and trim our trees. They removed the weeds, trimmed our bushes, and mulched and reshaped our flower beds. They also bought and replaced some azaleas in the front and they planted some azaleas that I had purchased in the back yard. They trimmed our trees in the front .

The job was a pleasant experience. We have had work performed at other homes we have owned in the pat and like mat people we have had some bad experiences. I have nothing but good things to say about Trademark and I will continue to use them in the future. Their pricing is a little high, but their work is worth it... You truly get what you pay for with Trademark.
Description of Work: Trademark provided us with a design for our backyard that included a flagstone patio, pergola, new flower beds and plants. From initial conversation we had a feeling of confidence in Matt and his group. They were very professional and personable. The patio installed was about 300 square feet in all. The pergola had great detail and workmanship. We asked for low maintenance plants and colorful plants as well. I feel that we received what we asked for. After the project was finished we hired them to provide lawn care and fertilizing for us.

The process took longer than expected. The actual price for the job was almost double from what they had originally told us verbally. We asked for a written estimate before we would commit to the job. When they finally got back to us, they informed my husband that they were waiting to hear back on the stone, which was more expensive than they had originally thought, resulting in the higher written quote. Once they started, they completed the job in two days. Did excellent stone work with our mailbox looking even better than it did before. However, they asked for their money before the job was completed. The foreman was unaware that his work crew had not cleaned up the job site nor had they placed any flowers in the planters. Once we brought that to his attention, they came back and finished everything right away before we paid them. We had agreed to pay with our credit card, however they told my husband that their machine wasn't working when they were here and we needed to pay them that day with a check.
Description of Work: Rebuilt our stone mail box and planters. Installed a new metal mail box and house address numbers on the outside of the box. Placed new dirt & flowers in the planters. Re-installed the water trip system in the planters. Laid new stone edging trim (that we had provided to them) in front of the garden area, up to the street.

Overall the yardwork service has been good. The only complaint is in the billing statement. The company had a bug in their invoicing that was overcharging, but once we brought it their attention, they did not argue and just said to pay them what we felt like it should be. Wow, imagine that - having confidence in their customers to get paid a fair price. We will continue to use Trademark in the future.
Description of Work: We hired Trademark when I started having allergy issues when working in the yard. When we contacted them and told them of our needs, they were quick to find us a time slot and we have been using them for 6 months since. Every time they come the yard looks good.

We were in desperate need of help with our large yard after our regular maintenance vendor could not provide services any more. Their people worked hard, even on weekends, to get the yard in better shape than it has ever been. Our beds look great and the plants are all mulched. They will do extra work as needed in addition to the regular service we have selected. The crew is professional, enthusiastic, cooperative, and hard working. Everyone works to get the job done, and they work as a team, calling in the skills needed to make everything perfect. For services they do not perform, they have contacts whoperform the needed services, such as pruning large trees with significant damage. They have in house capability to design irrigation systems. We could not be happier.
Description of Work: We hired Trademark when our previous lawn care provider was unable to provide reliable service. They started out with a huge abount of work to make our large yard look great. They mowed, cleaned up, pruned overgrown plants, transplaned overgrown plants to larger pots or into the yard, reworked beds, romoved overgrown plants from around fishponds, cleaned out both fishponds and completely reworded one of the ponds. They are now providing weekly maintenance on our yard and slowly working on odds and ends of cleanup. We could not be happier!

I called the company around the 1st of March to come and give me an estimate for a complete removal of old sod, level front yard and resod. They came when they said they would and went over in detail everything they would do and told me how much it would cost. Work was scheduled to begin on March 13, 2012. They were here early on March 13th and proceeded to remove the old sod. After all old sod was removed they spread a mix of sand and topsoil over the entire front yard to level it out and fill in low areas. They also enlarged a flower bed in the front yard and added topsoil and mulch to the bed. Only problem was that the sod that was to be delivered was delayed due to the recent rains. Sod farm said it was too wet to cut sod. We were told that the sod would be delivered the next day (Wednesday). I was called and told on Wednesday that the sod would not be delivered until Friday, March 16th. Sod was delivered on Friday as promised and the landscapers were here within 20 minutes of sod delivery to lay the new sod. It was worth the wait because the sod was beautiful, lush and green. It took them approximately 4 hours to lay all the sod and they did a good job. As a thank you for having had to wait for sod delivery for a few days, Matt Hunter, the project manager, threw in 3 flats of begonias that they also planted for me. I thought that was a nice gesture. Only problem I had overall, was with the cleanup afterwards. I had to clean my driveway and sidewalks after they left to remove remaining dirt that was stuck to the concrete.
Description of Work: Last summer due to drought and a chinch bug infestation, we lost 90% of the grass in our front yard. I called Trademark Lanscaping to come and give me an estimate to remove existing sod, fill in low areas with sand/topsoil mixture to level yard and resod entire front yard. Also asked them to enlarge an existing flower bed in the front yard. Estimate was for 1 yard of potting mix and 1 yard of native mulch for the flower bed and 5 yards of sand/topsoil mix for leveling the yard and 5 pallets of new sod for the lawn. Estimate was very accurate as all materials were used as specified.

.I ended up spending a lot more than I thought I would. The guy gave me an estimate for a little over than $400. I had to get him to adjust that later. It had to be adjusted upwards. When he had given me that quote he was not very clear that he would be doing only one side of the side walk and I was not getting a whole lot done for that $400. I am not saying that it is his fault. For that kind of money why should I not get the other side of the side walk too. When everything was said and done I spend over $500 for them to plant may be 9 rose bushes, they doubled everything they bought and charged the owner, turned around and charged me twice plus the labor. I don’t think I will not use them in the future. I think they are very expensive. I would advice everyone to shop around. They said they would use black mulch in the front to make the yard look different. Everybody’s yard looks brown now because of the drought and so I wanted mine to be a contrast to that ugly brown color. I did not go out and watch what they are doing. They had a tune out there. They did not know what they were doing. When they were done they had brown mulch out there. Their work was neat looking. For that kind of money I could have done some of the stuff they did. So it hurts for writing that check to them.
Description of Work: . I used Trademark Landscape to do some landscaping in the front yard. They also did mowing and some edging for us getting the house ready for selling it.

Response from Trademark Landscape
In my experience at the member's home, I never met nor had any contact with the member . The price was clearly stated before the job began. The adjustment in price was due to an adjustment in the scope of work, the price adjustment was approved before the work began. The member told me when the original estimate was given that she wanted to do the front in a two step process, basically replace plants on one side and two weeks later ( when she was paid again ) do the other side. The member and I were on the same page, I'm afraid the confusion may have been between Mr. and Mrs. . When I walked the job after we had finished with Mrs. she said she was very happy and would enjoy her front yard for the first time since living in the house. While I'm disappointed to read the comments from Mr. , whom I have never met, it was a pleasure working with Mrs. and I appreciate her business.
