We are going through a really tough time with Frys. This won’t be a complete review until the problem gets solved. When we had bought the dish-washer in the 27th they gave us a copy of our receipt, not the original receipt with our name on it. On Monday when they had delivered our dish-washer we did not notice but we didn’t look but they gave us another receipt on top of some other papers with another customers name on it. The guy wrote down on someone else receipt what we needed to tell the electrical company to do. So when the electrician came out two days ago he did what they ask but when we had called Frys to come back out here to install the dishwasher that was in the garage, they asked for a certain number and we couldn’t give them a number because the correct receipt or information or anything. Plus they were very rude on the phone, they said could you call back later we are kind a busy now. We went down to Frys to complain and we handed them the other person receipt and put in a formal complaint about them giving us someone else receipt and they gave us wrong information. We need to get the new dish-washer installed and for them to remove the old one. We are waiting to get a call back.
Description of Work: We bought a dish-washer on August 27 and paid for the dish-washer, the delivery and the installment. They came on the 29th to deliver the dish-washer. When they were here they put the new dish-washer in our garage first and then they came in to check to see what kind of dish-washer we had and what kind of electrical source it has because dish-washers are not all set up to be connected to electrical the same. They told us that we needed a special plug and some kind of special electrical thing for the brand new dish-washer. They said get an electrician out here and call them back and they will come back out and install the new dish-washer at no charge.

We have our mother in law living with us and she needed a TV. So we got a larger TV because of the sound and the vision. The prices are good and the people are knowledgeable. In the computer section they are very available and very knowledgeable. In the TV/Radio section they're skimpy, there are not enough employees. They need more. They're not as good in the TV area. They know what they're talking about once you can find somebody, but you can't find them. They're hard to find. The responsiveness is where I'm having trouble. The quality of merchandise is an 'A' They have good stuff and they're very, very good in computers.

Still trying to get Fry's to make good on the computer I purchased -
Description of Work: I purchased a Toshiba laptop from Fry's with an EXTENDED WARRANTY on April 4,2010 - The computer has been in & out the shop since - When I bring it in to be repaired, all they try to do is charge an additional fee to check it out and they don't even fix the problem - I have all the documents from evertime I have brought the computer in to be fixed - They simply don't fix the problem & try to charge extra - This last time they told me that they where going to send the computer to Toshiba to check out & they didn't - They just patched it up and called me to pick it up - Also everytime I go into the computer repair department, I meet up with someone who is having problems getting there computer fixed - I am on here to warn people not to buy a computer and a warranty from Fry's Electronics - They will take your money & will not deliver on the service -

Their work wasn't timely. They were not particularly responsive for what I wanted done. It was supposed to be warranty work and they tried to charge me for it. As a compromise I bought a new disc for $160 and told them to put it in it. I'm not that happy with them. I would certainly not go there again. I would also not recommend them to others.

Correspondence was sent to Randy Fry (President) on 11/07/08, Manuel Valerio (Community Relations Manager) on 11/17/08 and David Sassenhagen (Store Manager) on 12/03/08. Topic of correspondence concerned falls in the Fry s Electronics store at 21300 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX on 11/04/08, at 11:00 AM. The correspondence was intended to inform Fry s Electronics management of the less than adequate accommodations available to disabled customers. I am disabled and use a cane to ambulate. I fell twice while walking towards the exit. The distances I had to walk in the store contributed to the accumulation of fatigue. This fatigue was due, in part, to the need to ambulate large distances within the store. Furthermore, this fatigue increased the potential for a fall when linked to my disability. A Fry s employee witnessed my falls. I asked where ambulatory assist equipment (e.g. electric carts) was located in the store. This employee informed me that there was none proved for disabled customers. I had hoped to return to purchase other electronic items, but given the less than adequate attempts by Fry s Electronics to accommodate all customers I will not return to Fry s electronics. To date I have not received acknowledgment of these correspondences. Furthermore, these correspondences requested information of how adequate disability accommodations would be provided by the store for disabled customers.
